Horrible service we didn't get our food in time even the drinks were given to some people super late. We had told our waitress Britney to split the bill and she didn't do it correctly. I came in here with husband the other night for dinner, nobody was at the door and we spent 10 minutes waiting to be seated before being approached. Then we were at a table that was covered in crumbs and there was food all over the floor, clearly the place hadn't been cleaned in a while. The floors had a layer of grime on it, like they had not been cleaned in several days. Our waiter promptly ignored us after we sat, no offer of appetizers or drinks. We waited for several more minutes before he came to take our order, at which point, he informed us that we could not get milk shakes, because they ran out of ice cream. Our waiter disappeared again after serving our drinks, and did not come back for nearly half an hour. During our wait, I went to the restroom, which had one stall, smelt like urine, and was incredibly dirty. On my way back to my table, I saw our waiter sitting at the bar top, watching television. He eventually got our order and, to the credit of the kitchen, it came out fast and was cooked well, except my salad, which was wilted and did not have croutons. After delivering our food, he did not come back for another 30 minutes, no refills for our drinks. When he did come back, he just dropped off our bill and immediately walked away. While the food was good, the service and overall cleanliness is the worst I have experienced from a Dennys. read more

Mediocre fare for outrageous prices. We got a cheese omelette and a fit slam with coffee and it cost $46 plus tip. It was about $25 too much. Our service ( Frankie) was excellent although the food took 15-20 mins to come out. The cheese omelette was a fluffy egg (very good) on top of unmelted shaved cheddar (not ideal). Came in at around 10:45pm and waited 20 minutes to order two pancakes. After I had finally ordered I was told it would be 5 minutes. Now here I still am, almost 30 minutes later with still no pancakes. Valerie is the lady who took my order and she is very very kind. However I did hear some employee back there laughing at my situation. Glad this is a laughing matter. I haven't eaten all day whatsoever and figured I'd come back tot his joint after 5+ years. Never coming back again, and I don't recommend. Anytime any employee walked by and saw me sitting, rather than asking what I'm waiting for, they turned and walked away. Lorenzo was an excellent worker- Dennys is lucky to have him. He did his best. Give him a raise! Seriously understaffed. My breakfast was cold by the time I got it- 1 hour later. But maybe Dennys has a hiring problem now. Managers should work the restaurant if they can't fully staff it. read more

My group and I stopped by after a backpacking trip and it was awesome, the vibe is incredible and the food here was better than any other Denny's ive been too. I literally tried calling this Denny's four times to place a take out order and each time no one picked up the phone. Corporate, what the heck is going on? I've lived in Coarsegold and Oakhurst for years and this Denny's has always had consistently terrible service. You're better off going to the Wild Fig or Ducey's. read more

Denny's has refined the corporate processes so that the food is decent unless it's really botched, so lunch was edible. Service was sporadic, items were forgotten, and the place is an echoing cavern of unavailable tables. I'm baffled why we had to give our names for a list when the only other diners were one large party. Where to sart, so many wrongs everywhere. I just wanted a hearty breakfast before hitting the trails.. boy was I wrong. 1st this place needs to whole renovation.. building is outdated feels like a cafeteria. Dont get me started on refills, I had to go and find the staff that were conveniently chatting it on the back. My husband never rec'd his pancakes and as I came around she had them in hand. I grabbed them & requested drink refills which took another 20mins. That's when she noticed that the father was/his 2 kids had left bc of the lack of service. She didn't seem to be bothered by it. Food was cold, like it was sitting there, and typical Dennys meals. When she walked by, I asked for her manager and she replied "she left for the day". How convenient for her. Brought my family here right after a long day of hiking for some milkshakes. Great service and very clean upkeep.

My server, Nina C, was great and the food was good. I had the Super Bird sandwich and it was very tasty.

Worst Denny's I ever ate at and boy I've had some horrible experiences before. We should've ran the other way when there were only 2 families inside the restaurant and the hostess told us there would be a 10 minute wait. When we're we're seated in took another 10 minutes just to be seen and ask for waters. The food took about 45 minutes to come out, mind you this was only with two other tables there! When the food came out it was the most disgusting inedible food I have ever tried. The buffalo wings were over cooked and had maybe two splashes of buffalo sauce! What was the cook doing back there? Was he smoking weed lmao. This is the worst food I have ever ate and hopefully they will be closing down for good soon! read more
