Asked for soup, was told they don't make it until later in the day. Food was good but hash brown portion was small. The salad didn't have croutons but some weird shoe string potatoes. We went on 1/1/25 it was crowded, we got seated right away but it took our waiter about 30 min to even take our drink order we got water and since we waited so long we had looked at the menu so we were ready to order. So I ordered the turkey dinner and the waiter said oh yeah we are out of turkey gravy ,salmon,steak and wavy cut fries and something else . So they should have told us upon arrival they were out of all that. So I ordered the BLT slamwich with onion rings , my son got the fruit pancakes breakfast and asked to substitute the meat for fruit my grandson got some sampler with onion rings and mozzarella sticks and hubby got the grand slam and asked for tortillas on the side. We waited another 45 minutes for our food. He brought my grandsons first then about 20 min after that our food now here is my biggest issue the onion rings were so greasy yes I know there are deep fried but it was like they sat in oil and they tasted oily and like the grease hadn't been changed in a while , then he asked us was there anything else we said you forgot the tortillas and side of fruit he said ok I'll be right back with them. Then we seen him come out with plates of food and take them to another table and we waited and waited never got the tortillas or never got refills on our drinks. Now I'm taking in consideration that there was only three or 4 people working the floor and about three cooks. So they should let patrons know that 1. They were out of a lot of things 2. The wait time would be longer than normal 3. Make sure to check on your tables. We had a male waiter who didn't have a uniform on I think he might have not been working but maybe got called in or tried to help . While visiting the area, we visited Denny's and ordered breakfast. Everything came out hot, cooked to perfection. The waitress was attentive. If I had to find a flaw. It is so small which is I wish they had a non-dairy creamer for the coffee. The offered half and half but it isn't my friend. I got a glass of water and it was the best water since leaving Tennessee. We order the ultimate omelete, strawberry French toast and chorizo plate. They were all pretty good but you can always adjust ur seasoning w more salt/pepper. I thought the strawberry French toast was too sweet but I still enjoyed. The chorizo plate had alot of flavor. The service was pretty quick but we did go in on a Friday morning haha. My family and I came here to eat after a long day of hiking in Yosemite national park. When we got in, the entire place was empty and there was a man complaining about waiting, he was yelling then left, we assumed he was just angry and gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. After he left two more parties came in after us and then a bunch of people were waiting to pay, after 20 mins of waiting without being greeted or told there was a wait, some blonde/brown haired girl finally came out from the back and took care of the line waiting to pay and then we finally got seated. The parties behind us also got seated after us. After another 15 minutes of waiting the two parties that got seated AFTER US got their orders taken and even got their drinks even though no one had even bothered to take our drink orders, let alone our food order. I would not recommend this place. Wasted basically 40 minutes just to get terrible, if any, service at all. Even when we were leaving, another party was walking out as well after not getting helped at all either. Honestly ridiculous. We came back here after 20 years, having had several bad experiences at different locations. We tried this one, hearing it was under new management. Sitting here in a now an empty restaurant, there were 8 people who were served as we walked in they continued to serve that table for the next fifteen minutes, but they nor us could get the attention of a server, and we still didnt have our food. Finally, 35 min later, food arrived... The pancakes were fluffy and beautiful, but they didn't serve butter with them, we had asked for extra butter, but the server never came back to the table nor delivered it. It didn't really matter because none of us had any silverware... We had ordered Strawberry Cream Cheese Crepes with sausages and hash browns. The crepes themselves were a little tough with ice cold strawberries and sauce that made the warm crepes ice cold. The hash browns were sitting in a pool of oil. The eggs and the sausage were perfect though sitting in a pool of oil, but considering none of us had any silverware, it wasn't doing us much good. We waited 3 min.. stilll no silverware, and there were none on the other tables to steal. We would flag down the waitress, but she never reappeared, nor did anyone else who work there . We continued to sit there while our food got cold, and finally, my 81 year old mother ended up getting up and asked the cook for silverware. He said to ask your server, and we said we would if we could find her or anyone else.. The service was horrific. On top of all this, the place was not clean nor had the tables been moved when they mopped for a very long time. The result was staring at filthy spots in the floor when the tables had been moved for a previously larger party. We had plenty of time to discuss that as we sat there. Waiting for our butter and silverware. We asked the server several times for butter, including when it was ordered. Never received it for any of our pancakes or toast. We asked for the check ahead of time so we wouldn't have to wail for that too , and she never brought it. I guess it will be another twenty years until we give Denny's another chance. I've lived in the area almost my whole life (28 years) and this Denny's has has some HUGE ups and downs but since they've come under their most recent ownership, the service and food have both been exceptional. My family and I are just finished a hike in Yosemite national and it was a major one and we loved it. That being said on the way back to our hotel we were very hungry so I dropped my wife off and my youngest daughter and I we went to Denny's. As we entered the establishment we were greeted by a guy named Jeffrey. My daughter and I we were deep in conversation about our hike. We started talking with Jeffrey and he offered us some water in which we really needed and greatly appreciate it. Our experience at Denny's in part because of Jeffrey was a good one so there's no complaints. The food was good and we will return. My friends and I were hungry and needed a place that opened late. I was first concerned by the rating of 2/5 (at the time of writing this review) when first deciding to visit them. To my surprise, it was one of the best Denny's experiences I've had. The workers and even the other patrons were kind. The food wasn't exceptional but it was what I had expected from Denny's and more. My family and I had spent the day in Yosemite park, and decided to stay in a hotel in Oakhurst. We went to Denny's restaurant for dinner and as soon as we opened the door we could smell old burnt out oil all over the place. We were seated at our table and I noticed there were at least five flies on the window behind us. The exciting part started when the food came.
