The food came out so fast I didn't get pics besides the rest of my burrito I ate at home.

My son wanted to go for breakfast and chose Denny's. When we walked in we were promptly greeted and told they would seat us in a minute. Seconds later we were seated in a booth. We were then greeted by our waitress Maria L. who took our drink order immediately. She put that in and brought us our menus. She was patient and kind. A great quality in a server. We ordered and the food came promptly. As we waited for our food we took in the ambiance around us. There was soft music playing in the background which was very nice. Servers working and communicating well on the line. When the food arrived everything looked amazing. My son devoured his rainbow pancakes. I ordered the sizzling Santa Fe skillet it was so good. This place has got to be one of the most wasteful restaurants on the planet. We went here after our flight landed in Chicago - instant regret. I ordered the chicken gyro, which, for some odd reason came with a quarter of white onion chunks, a whole Roma tomato, lots of lettuce, and a whole vat of tzatziki sauce. I requested feta, as that is pretty typical in a chicken gyro. I was told it would be an extra cost, to which I agreed. Yet imagine my surprise when I received not one, not two, but three entire sticks of whole feta. Not crumbled on top of my pita like I was expecting. Additionally these three blocks of feta ended up being $5. That's on me. If I had known to check the menu for whole feta sticks, I would have known better. Aside from that, the pita was almost completely inedible, as it was just coated and lathered in the tzatziki sauce. It came to me on a flat pita, completely impossible to pick up. I ended up requesting just a plain side pita to just construct my own. Wayyyy too much stuff wasted on one pita. Cook could have made a whole second pita from the very mid ingredients - would have made it more worth the price and excessive amount of feta. The side pita was reasonably priced. Just like the other hopeful reviewer, our fries were overcooked and practically hollow. Additionally, we each got a "side of fries" and that was practically a BASKET of fries. So...two baskets of too many overcooked fries. Another waste. I wanted to do more than pay and leave, but God did we have a rough flight. But the Missus and I are health-conscious diners and we have a huge problem with their current downsized menu, namely finding something that we could eat. A preponderance of entrées are deep-fried and/or drenched in dairy products (butter, cream or cheese). Coupled with the restaurant's inability or unwillingness to make substitutions without an upcharge or prepare certain items "dry," our only option was fresh fish, simply grilled. Both the salmon and the mahi mahi were excellent, as were our sides. We discussed the menu situation with a manager, who conceded that he had received similar feedback from other diners. A few weeks later, we received a reply which stated in part, "Your comments have been sent to the appropriate teams here at our corporate offices for consideration in making future business decisions." How slowly the wheel turns. We will not be returning to any Red Lobster until they add more healthy options and flexibility to the menu.

This Lucky Grill is part of a strip mall on Milwaukee Avenue (there is a second location further northwest in the city). It was pretty busy with the brunch and lunch crowd, but we received pretty good service overall (other than not getting our water glasses refilled). As you can imagine with a diner such as this, there is a sprawling menu and admittedly it took me a few minutes to make my choice. I went with the British Breakfast, a dish with two eggs (scrambled), two pieces of sausage, hash browns, American cheese, and two mini waffles. I'm not sure what was the "British" part of this breakfast (hey - American cheese!), but it was a tasty and filling meal. My love ordered a cheeseburger which came with onion rings, a cup of cole slaw, pickle and tomato, and a bowl of soup. The bowl of cream of broccoli soup was very large, and so we each had leftovers from our respective meals to take home.
