My first evening up at Tigress's rooftop, I walked into a packed house with no reservation, and it was simply too much. Rather than give up, I called the restaurant shortly before close and asked about reserving a table for the following night. Just one person. What happened next genuinely surprised me. They were absolutely fabulous. Not only did they accommodate me without hesitation, they reserved me a spot in the bar area and had it ready the moment I arrived. The second I stepped off that elevator, I was greeted by name, welcomed warmly, and made to feel like I belonged there. It wasn't a restaurant experience -- it was a Cheers experience. You know the show. That's exactly what it felt like. Service was prompt and attentive from the start. My drink order was taken and delivered quickly, and when I asked for a menu recommendation, the staff guided me toward their signature crab fried rice -- and I am so glad they did. This dish is unlike anything I've had at any Thai restaurant, and I've had crab fried rice at quite a few. The blend of ingredients Tigress uses is truly special. Every element comes together in a way that feels almost magical. Worth every single penny. I've seen a few complaints about pricing, but when you consider the quality of ingredients that must go into this dish and the skill required to execute it -- the price is more than fair. Sincere applause to the entire staff for their grace and kindness. A standing ovation to the chef on duty that evening, and deep gratitude to the executive chef who curated this menu.
