Walked in Saturday to place a take out order. Was told it would be 15 minutes. My meal was to come with mashed potatoes and a side salad, which I paid extra to change the second side from another starch to. 25 minutes later the take out bag was handed to my teenager, as I had already gone to the car with my little. We drive another 20 minutes back to our hotel, where we sit down to finally eat. Shocker I don't have mashed potatoes but instead deep fried home fries, my salad is missing and my salmon looks to have already been chewed up and spit out... did they give me leftovers someone was going to dismiss because it looked gross. (And it wasn't shook it sat on my teenagers lap the entire way back as he kept trying to eat his food in the car) Here's where it gets AWESOME: I called the restaurant to tell them I'm starving and now am unable to eat as I can not have deep fried things rn. I asked they refund me to my card over the phone... I was yelled at, told to call Monday to speak to the manager and hung up on. This, is such beautiful customer service! I came here late at night, was hungry, so I ordered NY steak with mash and corn, was pretty good. I also ordered blueberry pancake/ banana , was delicious. All cost around $40. It's attached to Flying J market place for truckers, love seeing all trucker gears and gadgets, so many cool guy tech stuff. Also the market place sells slice fresh pizza's. I had lunch today at Denny's in London. It's attached to a rest stop on Highbury Avenue S, just south of the 401. I ordered Baked Lasagna. I love lasagna and this was just okay. The noodles were overcooked and there was too much sauce. I felt like something sweet so ordered a Caramel Apple Pie Crisp. It was definitely sweet and did the trick. Rabiah was my server. Ordered the build your own grand slam: egg whites, hash brown with green peppers and onions or as Sonja recalled it to us as fajitas with the hashbrowns, gf English muffin (that's a first) and oatmeal. My husband got the grand slam: double egg whites, hash browns extra crispy and 9 grain pancakes. The bathrooms are the common ones used for the gas station and they aren't the usual nastiness I would expect out of gas station. Each stall has tiles up the walls and floor. The oatmeal with some brown sugar and maple syrup is as good as home. The hash browns with the fajita was good and crispy, the gf English muffin was light, airy and fluffy. The 9 grain pancake was very grainy, nutty almost. My husband enjoyed his double egg whites and his hashbrowns. Sonja was extremely attentive and friendly. For my first time being at a Denny's and being s roadside spot it was actually a good spot. Tons of food options since they serve all day meals 24 hours a day. Good food spot for a meal on the road. We decided to try a different restaurant for our Sunday breakfast! There was 3 kids an 3 adults so we weren't quiet. But the loudness of the restaurant seemed fitting for it. It was decent food and great service. We always let the little kids order for themselves and the lady taking the order was awesome with them! The price was alright for the food. But this visit the only gripe was the skillet had less than a finger full of potatoes. And for the price it should've been a lot more. This was my first time eating at a Denny's and it was pretty delicious. I was impressed with their menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My mom and I ate there for breakfast and it was delicious. The scrabbled eggs were really good, the hash browns crispy, the bacon was overly salty so wasn't a fan of that. I also got a side of the strawberry crepes, to which the ran out of custard so they put whipped cream in instead, but other than that the crepes were really fresh and delicious. The place was clean and followed COVID protocols. I would have given it a higher school but there were just small things like not having a fork and instead, two spoons, that brought down the rating. Overall I had a pretty good experience and I really liked the food! I would recommend trying out Denny's. read more

Let's all welcome probably the worst American breakfast chain known as Denny's to London. When I first noticed we had a Denny's about a week or so ago and thought I would give it a try because I heard it was good in the States? but boy was I ever wrong. When we walked in the restaurant itself looked pretty busy but we were seated right away, The server came pretty quick and took our drink orders, she was even very friendly! But there's where it starts to go downhill. No word of a lie the three of us waited an hour for our breakfast meals to come out to the table, Now they just opened about a week prior to our visit so I'm not sure if they were just working out the kinks or what but really an hour for breakfast!? And also when being seated nothing was mentioned to us about the hour wait time to be served. Anyways when the food finally arrived it was more shock n' awe. My chicken fried steak was clearly some pre-packaged piece of crap and definitely not freshly battered, tasted very similar to one of those TV dinners that some people call food. Not to mention the portions were ridiculously tiny, All three of us actually left hungry! Then the bill came, $15 each for breakfast!? Who are you kidding honestly. Avoid this place like the plague because it's most definitely not worth your time or money. My friend who ordered the skillet actually got sick from it as well! WARNING! FOOD POISONING!! I had a sirracha burger at this Denny's two days ago. Began to feel queasy about three hours later; have had explosive diaorreah and stomach pains ever since. It was definitely the food here: I've eaten nothing else at all. Something is very wrong with the way food is being handled here. Have a cup of coffee here if you must (the coffee wasn't bad), but if you value your life, don't touch the food! Update. 48 hours later. Symptoms continue to worsen despite a lot of Imodium. Denny's pancakes are decent, but the restaurant always appear a bit dirty every time I go. At least they have sugar free pancake syrup and tolerable milkshakes though. If they kept the restaurant a bit cleaner, it wouldn't be that bad. read more

This Denny's is one of the best options if you don't want to stray too far from the highway while crossing through our cold friendly neighbor to the north. Yes, service can be slow. But, the staff always try to make it right. And they are super nice, and not in that creepy "I'm too happy because I have universal health care and subsidized education" kind of way. read more

I have been to Denny's in the past and it's the stereotypical go to for all day breakfast. However, I am not going to waste my money on this place anymore. Our waitress was lovely and polite and wonderful so my one star is not based on service, put the service also doesn't make up for the food. When I order breakfast, I want a CRAZY amount of food for cheap. I'm talking meat, eggs, toast, etc. My fiance and I both ordered a "slam" mine was the original which came with pancakes and my fiance's had french toast. These slams do not come with toast or homefries/hashbrowns for almost $15 each, I have ordered this in the past and it definitely came with toast and potatoes. I think this is some sort of stupid way to make more money. I was SO disappointed. My bacon was so thin and it reminded me of the ready crisp stuff, the sausages were pretty good, my scrambled eggs were that weird powered/instant egg stuff which is disgusting and my pancakes were quite well done with a nauseating amount of butter on them. I will never come back to Denny's. I will be giving my breakfast business to other places (local spots) and will be on the hunt for a new all day breakfast spot. read more

For years I have always missed the elusive "Free Birthday Grand Slam" even though they have it everywhere from Vancouver to Miami but this year was different. After just moving to London Ontario only days before and not knowing a single person, I wondered what to do for my birthday. While on Yelp I saw this horrobly rated Denny's and remembered that they had free birthday meals. The day of my birthday I went over to the GPS coordinates and there it was in all its truck stop glory. I mean they even had a discount for truckers lol not exactly how I imagined my birthday going but it is what it is. I came in and was promptly greeted and seated. Minutes later I was given a beer (Think it was a bud light or budweiser for 4.99 ugh) and shown how to get my free meal. Now the meal is only about 9 bucks to begin with and is highly customizable for anyone from vegans to carnivores, but we all know how much better a free meal tastes!! All in all the food was exactly what you expect from tgis chain of breakfastish joint and the service was above par for them. If you are lookong for a quick, low cost, breakfasty meal than come here. We drove an hour because it's the closest Dennys and the food was good but the customer service was not impressive. It was a busy Sunday but that doesn't mean staff need to forget basic customer service skills. Our waitress rushed my husband when he was trying to order and when there was no sugar at our table we caught another waitress walking by who grabbed sugar from another table and plopped it on the table. Where to start I got the all American which I will say for the price is well worth it. Now when I get the food almost 40 minutes I waited my cheese wasn't even melted and the eggs were over cooked. Arrived today at 10:45am with my wife and 2 kids. Friendly waitress took our order within a few minutes, and brought us coffees and drinks for the kids. Then we waited...At 11:15 we advised her we had been waiting 30 minutes, and asked if there was a problem with the food. She said she would check, came back and told us that it would be at least 10 more minutes, because they had a large party. We asked to speak to the Manager, and she stated that they were busy in the kitchen, but she would try to get one out to us. In an inspection dated Nov 30th, there were three critical (potential to cause illness) food safety infractions. I got sick eating at this location before it was called Denny's. Been here several times. Always little glitches with the meal, such as last time I ordered steak and eggs, asked for steak sauce but they didn't have any. Waitress asked if we wanted the regular or seasoned fries (which we tried) but got charged extra for some seasoning, and just continues with little things like that.
