I had stopped eating here a while back. I figured things may have changed by now. I bought a burger last week there is no mayonnaise and no ketchup so when I got back to my office I had a plain burger and nothing for my fries. The burger was good. I told my co-worker we decided to go today. So I tell the young lady I just want to check and make sure there's ketchup and things and explain to her what happened at my last visit. What they did do was give me two tubs of ranch I did not ask for. So today my coworker said she wanted Ranch. So I asked young lady for some ranch she charged me $0.96 for it. So I told her that's fine... Looks like it'll be a long break again before I go back in there. Getting an attitude is not cool it's reasonable to ask if there's ketchup and mustard and mayonnaise. read more

Eating at this Denny's for breakfast was an absolutely amazing decision. We ended up eating a "pick your own grand slam", and it took no more than 5 minutes from walking into Denny's to get our drinks, and no more than another 10 for all of our food. It all had an excellent taste and I was pleasantly surprised to have such a wonderful morning with Denny's. I'll tell you this, monday mornings here at Denny's is perfect. ZERO STARS if it was an option. Every time I've eaten here the food is overly greasy and customer service is hit or miss sometimes good usual bad. But I created a yelp account just so I could leave this review because tonight I tried to do a call in order for pick up and I've spent literally the last 15 minutes trying to get through. This dennys was "cold" and in come cases dirty. No one had swept the floor for awhile could tell with the napkins on the floor and food stuff. We ordered and waited a long time for our food. They were short staffed. The manager , as we watched where the food was coming out, had our food in his hands and was asking our waitress who was too busy for us where the food went she did not know as she strugged her shoulders giving that indication. the manager figured it out and brought the food to us. the place was not busy. I was hoping for a good meal with my friends but it ended up a total disaster. The fries were crinkled and soggy, dripping with some watery liquid. We ordered a cake batter milkshake and I was the worst I've ever had, it was literally a vanilla shake with a million sprinkles that u had to chew and choke on with every sip, it was truly gross. manuel is dope.... as fuck!!!!! (he's the manager) The pancakes are so fire. I hold the world record of most pancakes eaten in one sitting. I like to come here on Friday and Saturday nights to play Yu-Gi-Oh with my fellow band mates. We host Pokémon tournaments on Sundays after we praise the Lord. Came here on Veterans Day. The Hispanic manager was extremely rude and tried to charge me for water. I understand that a lot a Veterans come here for the free complimentary meal but for you to try and nickel and dime us for something like water is just ridiculous. It's just water!! read more

I went there for breakfast with my baby daughter last week and I really did not have a good experience. I understand that I'm choosing to eat at Denny's, not a five star restaurant. But still, I hope for decent service in a clean place. The staff should take some pride in their work, even if it is 'just a Denny's'. The servers were slow and rude. They also kept saying "someone will be right with you" while I watched them take care of other tables that had been seated after us. We were sat at a dirty table (food on it from previous guests), in a dirty section (the floor and tables around us were horrible), and given a really dirty high chair for my daughter to sit in. When I asked for a cleaner high chair, the server took the dirty one in the back, and brought out one just as dirty (in fact, I have suspicion it was the same exact one). I should have just left then, but we were starving and my arms were turning to jelly after holding my daughter, purse, and baby bag for so long while waiting for a 'clean' high chair. So I just set my daughter in it and finally sat down. After waiting for what felt like forever we were finally getting our order taken. It took a very long time for my food to come out (at least 20-25 mins) and I was never even offered a refill on my coffee, I had to wave them down and ask for it after getting tired of staring at an empty cup. It wasn't very busy, so there's no explanation for the wait. I will say, I asked to make substitutions to my order, and the food came out perfectly. Just like I ordered it and it did taste good. So that's why I decided to give this review 2 stars instead of just 1. We will NOT be going back to this location. I would much rather go to the IHOP or Coco's down the street. read more

We come here for there appetizers and the lady said they were out of onion rings. So we get quesadillas instead, they bring us two tiny chicken strips that look like nuggets and 4 pieces of quesadilla with hardly any cheese its pretty much just tortilla. A HUGE rip off! They asked us what dressing we would like(which is weird we would always just get all three), i know IHOP gives you all three (ranch/marinera/bbq) so i guess they are being very cheap! We ask for vanilla creamer and guess what, no vanilla just regular. They have a nasty pealed off sticker full of germs in the middle of the table. Should be reported for how unsanitary that is! We wanted to try a blast from the past so my wife and I picked Denny's. The place looked old and worn from the outside. Inside the restaurant was clean and newer looking. I ordered my standby the "Super Bird". It was exactly like I remembered. We also ordered the nachos for an appetizer. To our surprise, it was really good. My wife ordered a breakfast sandwich and really enjoyed it. The service was outstanding and the Manager even came to our table to check if everything was ok. read more

We went to grab a bite to eat after a long drive home. It was late (12:30 am) and the only place open to sit down, have a meal and enjoy a conversation. When we ordered our food the staff was quick to take our order but they were extremely loud, they would yell back and forth with each other and a few people eating there that they knew. It really wasn't busy and no need to be so loud. We really didn't need to know all about the waitress and and her friends business. Once we got the food we hoped to just hurry up eat and leave. We ordered 2 hamburgers, the buns and meat fell apart with just a bite. I didn't expect to have to eat a burger with a fork. Once we were eating the staff began shampooing the carpets close to where we were eating. We gave up on even being able to talk to each other. I asked for the bill and we left. I know Denny's is not a GREAT place to dine. It's usually for those late night, after party places but I really wanted French fries and ranch. I have to say...I love the fries but they charge now for RANCH!! BOO on them. Also if all I'm going to drink is water, they should consider giving me a bigger glass and not the tiny small one. read more

So far, so good. Of course, I shy away from shoddy management in the daytime (check it out for yourself). Daytime servers are not on par with the fabulous evening and nighttime crew...it's a demeanor thing. Night staff and management - excellent no matter what - busy or not. Team players indeed. Servers know their menu! Only complaints I have about this place are the fingerprinted windows and doors (only takes 5 minutes in total to clean if one pays attention), the occasional riff-raff outside (uncontrollable, really), and being seated next to children (always an uncomfortable, noisy, barbaric situation)...although servers are more than willing to work with you on that dreaded issue. We eat here at least twice a month. Don't care to waste hard earned money on alternative 'lousy' eateries. read more

Hard to relax with all the noise. It's a Denny's, and the food is what you know to expect from Denny's. But they clang a lot of pots and plates in the kitchen, then they try to cover the noise up by playing music. They should turn off the music and figure out how to cut down on the clanging. read more

My husband and I ate here on 6/18, the meal was fine however, the manager Manuel was horrible to the staff and very rude. He was with the cooks going over orders and was very upset about a take out order. so upset that he kept ringing the bell until she finally came forward. When he found the employee who took the order he was rude, condensending to her and loud enough that the whole restaurant heard. I told her he was very rude and unprofessional. She told me he was the manager and is always like that. When we paid our bill, another female employee told he they have made several complaints about him and nothing gets done. This is wrong and it's employee harassment. I would think a company as big as Denny's would not allow his behavior to continue. OK so have went to Denny for like the last month at least once a week. Its Lodi people and what else to do in lodi besides go to Dennys at like 2am.So they now have this new menu and they have the best cheeseburgers ever. They are all hand made now not the pre made ones. Ask for your onions grilled it is the best. We love the service that we get from there Brenda and Angie the best!!!! Would highly recommend the food now and if u want entertainment just go at like 2am when i do and u can see all the drunks come staggering in from the bar!!! Its good ole Lodi!!! read more

Ok, we live in Lodi and we're seniors....Denny's once in awhile. This past Sunday was intolerable. There really was no wait and our waitress was very good, the food after the "rubberized" eggs were replaced was average and coffee palatable without cream or sugar. The restaurant was disgustingly dirty...in particular the floors. It actually looked like someone vomited in the center of room at the end of the long aisle.. It was towards the end of the meal, (after a father and grand-father?), allowed their approx. 18 mo. old girl scream at the top of her lungs to decibels beyond belief, that we made our exit. We asked for our typical 10% senior discount and to our dismay, found that one must possess a very politically liberal agenda AARP card and AMAC was refused per the manager who said the AMAC didn't have the bar code that AARP had to scan(?). So seniors, for your piece of mind, and in case you thought Denny's was inexpensive, worth it to suffer screaming kids, filthy floors, and really offensive management who refused a senior discount; our bill for two senior meals w/coffee and tip ran $24+.
