The only reason im giving 5 stars is due to the night crew. In the morning they always get my order wrong and i get the worst service. The night crew make sure i get my steak the way i order it , nland constently checks up on me to make make sure my exsperience is great..i will never come back before 4pm. Because my food is gonna be wrong and i wont have a smile when my food is brought to me. it wasn't even busy but it took over 10 min to order drinks then another 5-10 min to order our food. It took over 45 min to revive our food. Just to be highly upset when we did. The hash browns were so over cooked that I couldn't even pick them up with a fork and was scared to crack my teeth if I did eat them. The eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes on all our plates were cold and got sent back to reheat... only to come back 2 degrees warmer then when We first sent them back. Very disappointed and we will not be coming back anytime soon. read more

If I could, I would give this one negative stars. We went into this location and there was no one hosting which was fine, we waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged and then another 10 minutes to sit down. We sat down and no one gave us menus, asked for drink orders, nothing. We finally left after 20 more minutes of waiting and still not getting acknowledged. I hope management is able to read this, that way you can hire more employees that are greatly needed. read more

A really excellent restaurant. During slow times the manager and staff are friendly and take time to get to know the guests. The food prices are whatever you like...when we are on a budget, we use the $2, $4 or $6 section for a snack. When we want a big meal, we can dine, but not spend too much. Hubby tends to like breakfast, but I tend to like the nachos (yep, I said nachos!) I ordered a burger and they put an egg in it. I asked for a new burger because I don't like eggs and the yolk was spilled all inside. The waitress took it back and argued out loud with the cook who literally slipped out the egg brought it back out to me and all my food was served to me the second time covered in egg yolk! read more

Yes, I am giving a diner 5 stars. The people at this location seem to care. My food was good, hot and comforting. I was there late on a Wednesday night and just wanted nice comfort food. The wait staff was super friendly, it was clean, and the cook even asked if we liked his food...he seemed to genuinely care. Nice place, I will go again! read more

My server Janese was amazing ! she did her job very well but the other servers were very unprofessional and rude , talking very loudly as me and my friend were trying to enjoy lunch. Honestly as soon as I stepped into this hell hole i knew I was in for a terrible dinner. 10 minutes to get seated, and another 40 before someone actually came around and took our order. The server even commented on if they had gotten distracted again and probably would've clocked out, meaning we probably would've never gotten our order in. People are letting their kids crawl around on the floor, and in scared for the kids life because the carpet looks like it hasn't been cleaned in the last 20 years, the tile is caked with who knows what. The only person I see actually enjoying their food is some guy in a Whataburger outfit dressed as John Cena. I'd talk to management but it seemed he was too busy sitting at a booth on his phone. Update: After being here for over an hour, I wasn't even told they didn't have Tater Tots until after the rest of our party had their food. I'm absolutely appalled at the service here. We all know restaurants that serve breakfast are especially busy on Sunday mornings. Therefore, making it a challenge to find parking in order to visit the establishment. My question, has anyone had their vehicle towed while being a customer at Denny's because they parked any where within the Plaza Denny's is located on (not including the hotel parking lots)? 4 stars because they accommodated our party of 8 perfectly and saw to our comfort accordingly. Slowest 'service' I have ever encountered at any Dennys. I like Dennys in general, but this particular one consistently has the worst service. I wouldn't even call it service. It would be better if you could serve yourself. Been sitting here over an hour and still waiting for food we ordered. I wonder if it's going to be cold whenever we finally get it. I would rate my breakfast at the Denny's in Live Oak this morning one of the best I have ever had and at over 70 years old I have had quite a few. Meat Lovers omelet was excellent, fluffy and lots of meat and cheese . The Red white and Blue slam was also very good . The pancake presentation looked almost too pretty to eat. Food was terrible. Hash Browns burnt outside but still soggy and undercooked inside . Bacon came limp and chewy and the gravy on the biscuits was cold. How do you mess up scrambled eggs??? By reheating them in the microwave while trying to reheat the gravy. Waitress was nice but did not listen. I recommend you drive a couple exits north to FM3009 where the Dennys is great. Open trash. Really impressed. I'm from Cali, and this Dennys is way better than most of the ones in Los Angeles. I ordered take out so I can't speak on the dine in service. But I was helped by Sharon on the phone, she was very sweet and made sure all of my items were in my bag. Overall great take out experience. Stopped in to order carry out. Staff was quick and friendly, I was out the door with my food within 5 minutes of ordering. Got home and was amazed at how good everything was, they put forward their best foot on this value grand slam. Included butter and syrup without even having to ask. Went to Dennys Live Oak. I've been there before and got decent service and food. This time however, it took quite a while for a server to come to our table for our drink order. Then we waited over 25 minutes for our food. Had to leave at that point. Think twice about this location. read more
