Love this place. We stopped for the fall fest they were having. Plenty of parking and plenty of booths to check out. They had booths out around the perimeter of the building and booths inside the perimeter. They had music, and Photo Booth areas. Bars were open. So I really hope you the yelper & they the venue enjoy the updated version Out of all the music venues in the area this is the MOST LIKELY TO CANCEL CONCERTS WITH 24-48 hours notice... I'm not sure if this is a new management style or marketing tactic but I'm not a fan. When I brought this up in a comment on FB in response to an yet another canceled concert they felt the need to block me from commenting or liking their post. As a someone who attends concerts and is from this area it was hard to plan for outings with friend and a hour plus commute then to have cancel not once not twice and even more than that. We had never been to Blue Bonnet until last weekend. I will be going back! We went for dinner at the bbq place and it was very good food! Everyone was very nice and had great service. This place is beautiful and we watched 3 different groups for the concert it was so much fun! We didn't spend much time inside but everyone in there seemed to be having a great night. Don't think this is legit BBQ but is a great entertainment venue. Brisket was carved in slices more than an inch thick and served as blocks of beef. What's that about? Presented in paper "boats" like you'd use for French fries. And worst of all the food including sides was all lukewarm to cool. Too bad cause the potential was definitely there. Brisket was super tender, German sausage was coarse ground and sauce was some of the best I've had. Service by Jewel was attentive without being intrusive and was very informative. Just attending to a few critical details by management could pay huge dividends. read more

Went back for the first time in several years and saw an outdoor concert - Kevin Fowler! The bars outside are the best bet for getting quick drinks and getting back to the show. The inside ones seem a bit understaffed and take a while. They do have heaters outside but only close to the building. Not a complaint, just replying to an earlier review. Domestic beers are $4.50 (on concert night at least) and admission for K-Fo was $20 at the door. Parking is free and bountiful. Men's bathrooms INSIDE are kind of strange. They have several but they are literally one person at a time with the lock the door style. This creates a wait. However, the bathrooms that are located OUTSIDE accommodate many people at once with a trough style latrine. I apologize to the ladies if that is more info you wanted to hear about the men's room lol! Bottom line is, I would go back for another concert. Good times! read more

I called and asked about my outfit because it was a little confusing on the website.. I talked to a lady who answered the phone and explained exactly what I was wearing.. flip flops. shorts and an under armor tank top. she said it was OK because it was hot.. I uberd there.. the door man asked if I had another shirt. I said no because I called and got the ok for my outfit. he said ok and gave me a wristband.. then, while ordering, I was approached by a bouncer questioning me about my tank top.. I tried to explain. I called before to ask and was given the ok.. he stared, screaming at me, saying that his wife answered the phone and would never have given the ok to come.. I tried to show him the call to prove what I was saying was accepted. then 6 bouncers surrounded me, saying I got to leave. and followed me outside. I again called the lady I originally called, and I heard someone arguing in the background telling her otherwise. read more

I drove for almost two hours to see a Tom Petty tribute show with my childhood best friend, who I bonded with over Tom Petty. On top of THAT, she herself traveled in from even farther out of town. We planned an ENTIRE WEEKEND around it. I would've loved to go to this place, but they wouldn't let my friend in because she was wearing the wrong kind of PANTS. No, no, friend. My friend was not scantily clad, nor did she have an outlandish color or design on her pants. They were a pair of nondescript, grey cotton pants. Apparently this was spontaneously against their "dress code" that is not clearly posted ANYWHERE on their website. The general manager who was wearing CARGO SHORTS accosted my friend and told us we had to leave before we even got in the door. I spent the entire TWO HOUR DRIVE back sobbing, because I was so excited for this opportunity. I'm not sure what the motive behind the staff's behavior was, but it was absolutely atrocious. I do know, however, that there was more to the story than my friend's pair of comically normal pants. Like, I cannot stress to you enough how normal these pants were. I'm not sure if it's because we were two queer women (likely) or if we just weren't attractive in the eyes of the 1,739,010 bouncers (very likely), but it was absolutely, 100%, a personal slight, and had nothing to do with the imaginary rules that aren't posted anywhere and were conjured up as soon as we got to the door. I encourage everyone to think twice before they visit an establishment that treats it's most enthusiastic guests like actual garbage. What an absolute dumpster fire. I am seething that this opportunity was robbed from my friend and me. Absolutely seething. I will absolutely be messaging the band to let them know how horrific this establishment is and encourage them to not play any additional shows there. Absolutely the antithesis of what any Tom Petty show should be, hands down. What a disgrace to the live music community. Horrific. read more

Lexi and Aiyana have great Customer Service. Very nice and took care of us just like family. Respectful and great communication . They came and took our order right away and checked on us often! Recently I hosted my husband's birthday party at the Blue Bonnet Palace. The food was catered by their Blue Pit Smokehouse restaurant and they really helped to make the event into something special. My husband thoroughly enjoyed himself and hasn't stopped talking about it. The food was delicious, the facility is a hidden gem, and the hospitality and service of the staff really blew us away. My brother was sober cabbing my friends & I tonight but they denied him because he was wearing basketball shorts.... should've stayed at cowboys, thirsty horse, or any other dancehall that doesn't get pissy about a man wearing long shorts. Place is great! Music was good. But when coming in for a bridal shower with a reserved table booked a month ago and only to find out we had no table!!!! Bartender stated they stopped doing reservations in Jan but I had a call from tori in Feb to confirm! Came in before the 9:30 cut off time only to be told sorry I can't help you. Had to find seating outside in the cold. The only upside to it was heated pipes above us(thank god!) it was a very chilly night. Anyway we made lemons into lemonade and had a blast! I recently went to see a concert here in November. They have a unique set up. Inside is small but with a large dance floor, big screen, and pool tables. Outside is where the concerts are set up. This has many bar areas, a little seating, a dance floor but my only complaint, no heaters. While I did enjoy the concert, I was freezing my tushy off. It just seems to be if being an outside music venue they would offer heaters. Otherwise I like the venue and the service was great. Free parking! read more

I've seen a band or two out here and I like the venue overall. It can get hot and dusty in the summer months, but there is multiple locations to get adult beverages, so it evens out. The stage is large and there is a an area where you can stand directly in front. They have chairs on the sides and when you get there you just grab some and select and area to sit and chill. It creates a cool atmosphere where you can be as close and personal as you want, or as laid back and chill as you want. I recommend! read more

I remember going to the Bluebonnet when I was in high school. This is the new Bluebonnet, newly built, and new outdoor stage. I am so glad they rebuilt this local night spot.
