Decided to give Denny's a shot after a long time of eating at one. The food was alright and came out pretty fast. Felt that the boneless wings could use more buffalo sauce and noted the interesting breading as used on the fried chicken. The salmon was decent but the highlight was the red-skinned potatoes with amazing flavor but the rice was a little dry. We had to send back the fried chicken because it was overcooked and hard but the staff quickly remediated it fast while being very apologetic. Decided to go for the pot roast sandwich and it was very tasty but wish it had an Au Jus to dip it in. Overall would gladly go back just because how kind the staff were and for how professional the situation was handled (which with the response of such can be an instant indicator as to the prospects of returning). read more

Server Brenda was very rude . High recommended asking for a different server. She looked high and had an attitude. Waited over 15 min for drinks and menus and than 15 more min before she even came back to get our order an then rudely asked if we was gonna order food or not. Ordered food and it came out fairly quickly but food was not made right, asked for the shredded cheese to be put on top of the nachos not on the bottom. When asked waitress Brenda for extra shredded cheese to put on top . She said it on there and I told her when I ordered it was to be on top and she got mad went to the kitchen window and told the cook " and said She wants extra cheese cook states he put it in there and brenda states she don't need it just look at her" and cook gave her the bowl of shredded cheese she brought it back and shoved it at me . she was to busy with flirting with other customers to even come ask us if we needed refills and checking on us. She then removed my other guess plate before he had time to answer if he wanted a box for his left over chicken and fries. The server that checked us out was super nice and pleasant to deal with . HAIRY PANCAKES in Litchfield Illinois!!! We were half way through eating bfast when my husband found a huge hair under the pancakes. Yes, UNDER the pancakes! We showed the waitress who took the plate to the Manager. Manager would only take $5.00 off our bill of $50. Needless to say that's an insult. We got up to the cash register & the girl took another $5.00 off. I politely told them that's ridiculous and the bill should be complimentary. I was there with grandparents along with fellow cousins this was the coldest building I have ever been in.The service was mediocre at best and the kitchen staff was not even wearing hairnets! My food came cold as ice and the hash browns must of been sitting there long because they were extremely burnt! We didn't get are food for at least 45 minutes and they came out in spurts! We were there for about an hour and a half and the whole time most of there attention was spent on online orders! But the worst of it all backtracking to the no hairnet is my amazing beautiful grandma was disgusted to find a very long hair right down the middle of her eggs this must of been cooked in to it I would recommend going to the better option huddle house! read more

Horrible!!!! Took 35 minutes to get our food which came out in spurts...eggs and hash browns came 10 minutes before pancakes. Scrambled egg had a long hair actually cooked in the egg. The bill, however, came very quickly. read more

Love how they are 24 hours but the staff needs a little work. Food was great! But the waitress was not. She was on her phone or outside most of the time She was no where to be found when help was needed and we sat there for 5-10 minutes waiting for her to bring us our refills. I would understand if it was busy but we were the ONLY ONES there. For the future maybe check up on your tables and not be so attached to your phone. This Denny's was terrible! Food was cold and the building was freezing! Our food came out slowly and was not very warm. So the service was pretty slow. An elderly lady next to my booth pulled a hair cooked in her eggs. My eggs came out scrambled instead of over-easy, and my waffles will thrown together with no sort of recipe. The waitress was nice, and some of the food was good, but the dirty bathroom sealed the deal. Never coming back here again. Going to Huddle house next time. read more

The air-conditioning broke down 2 weeks ago. The have two portable units set at 72, but it felt like 90 when we had supper. While eating, we got overwhelmed with the heat. We asked about 15% discount for staying at local hotel. I showed the key card and was assured we'd get it from our server. I was getting my food to go from waitress. Another staff person rang us up. No discount. And once you pay, they are prevented from reversing. They called the manager over to help. He paid cash. You'd think they could have done manually. She refused. Don't waste your time! How is it that there is only 3 tables in the entire restaurant being used and the entire experience was horrible. After a sleepless night at a near by hotel, we stopped in here for breakfast before hitting the road again. This was the worst Denny's I have ever been to. They have like 5 hostesses standing around doing nothing and 2 waitresses who have 20 tables a piece. They were on a wait to get seated at 10am on a Sunday morning with a bunch of tables open. Food and plates would sit on a table for 10+ minutes waiting to be cleaned up. Our waitress was a ghost. The place may have been at about 60% when I was there. I am going to blame my grade completely on the kitchen staff. The only thing the waitress did wrong was bring me that plate of breakfast when she knew what I had ordered. My over medium eggs were crispy because the pan was way too hot when they cooked them. My medium bacon was so overdone when I put a fork on it, it broke into 5 pcs. The sausage was also over cooked. I ask for brown hash browns and thats what I got. So good job on that. Took 10 min on the phone to order because they were so busy. Understandable, I was patient and grateful to be receiving food. Was very clear that I wanted my burger plain with only jalapeno, and that I wanted bacon cheddar tater tots. I had the person on the phone repeat it back to me to confirm. I picked it up and didnt realize 20 min later when I got home how wrong the order was. The burger had every topping and wasn't customized at all. The potato bites were loaded potato bites and had queso and sour cream. I am allergic to sour cream and you could barely tell it from the cheddar cheese but it was there and luckily I caught it before it was too late. We were waiting for our food for a half hour, just Bc of the lack of communication the waitresses have. Very good experience at this location. My server was Jerri. It was about 1:00 pm on the 15th of October. I had chicken fried steak dinner and a cola. The restaurant was clean and orderly. I was seated at a mini table ( table for two). It's Denny's, the food is the same at almost anyone of them. My server, Jerri, very outgoing, friendly, warm, caring she is everything that I admire in a person. I can not say enough about this remarkably outstanding lady. I will be back every time I pass this town. If you are in this area of Litchfield Illinois and it's dinner time, please stop in and say something nice. This location was horrible, but they are low on staff. The food was fresh, and tasty. My waitress was very nice, just see had more tables then one should handle. Also lots of dirty tables due to the lack of staff. If this was Diner Dash, they would of failed (game joke lol ) left full and happy. Wasn't in too much of a hurry due to staying at the hotel next door. The food was average or less. The hashbrowns must have come right out of the box and the eggs were smallish. The kitchen noise is unforgivable. Loud crashes and banging make it hard to hear, and the quieter portion of their eating areas were closed-off, apparently to save legwork of the servers.
