Food is plentiful. It may not always be homemade, but it's fresh and delicious. Plus there usually are leftovers to spare. Service is fantastic. The waitress is around several times to check on food satisfaction. Plus refills don't have to be asked for. It's family ran and the culture shows.

Well-made homestyle food with a pretty extensive and varied menu. Service was fast and staff were super friendly.. I lost count of the number of times they asked to refill my coffee. I also liked seeing that they moved their specials board to each new table seated, so everyone (even us visually-impaired patrons) could have a clear idea of their choices. There's a pretty laid back family-friendly feel, in the spacious well-lit dining room. Overall, seems like a great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

3.5 's If you like down home, Independent family run restaurants. You should give the Round Table a try. We have enjoyed the Round Table for years. Mostly for breakfast. You are sure to find something you will enjoy on the vast menu. The service has always been great. Today I had stuffed french toast, eggs and bacon. My wife had biscuits and gravy, eggs, and bacon. No complaints here! The french toast was topped with cheese cake filling and fresh berries and a an ingredient that you would not expect. Go give it a try and let me know if you can figure out what it is! We have had dinner at the Round Table once. If you have an big appetite, there is definitely that you fulfill it. Great value.

Let me begin by stating this visit was during COVID. It's a dive diner that serves up comfort food and has a staff straight out of Mel's Diner on Alice. 3 Stars is a good rating, it is stating that things are A-OK. I have just moved into the Godfrey township and am out exploring places to enjoy breakfast. I've driven by Round Table and have seen lots of folks dining under tents in the parking lot in front. Today when I arrived, all the tents were gone and folks were dining inside. To be honest, I was a little hesitate about going in, but bit the bullet and went inside. I was pleased to see they were spacing their diners out, staff was wearing mask and they had hand sanitizer available. They were following all the CDC guidelines. Good job. Being an old farm boy, who moved to the big city and is now returning to his roots and who loves biscuits and gravy was pleased to see them on the menu. I was really excited to see that they offer a plate with; one biscuit and gravy, two eggs and a choice of meat. Give it to me with bacon. For me this was a perfect little breakfast and at a great price. Add on a cup of black coffee and life is good. The biscuit was huge and fluffy and the gravy had a good amount of sausage floating within it. It was also seasoned mildly. Not overly salty, but it could have used more pepper. However, with the shaker on the table, I resolved that problem. My eggs were scrambled and kinda on the cold side. As were the bacon, but the bacon had wonderful flavor and was crispy. I'm confident that in future visits, because I already know I will return, that this little dive diner will be bumped up to more stars. Will I return? - I love eating breakfast out, so hell yes. Me and my boyfriend came here for brunch, it being a Sunday they were extremely busy. Yet we barely had a wait for a table. The waitstaff was amazing, they checked in on us constantly and were friendly about al our menu questions. I ended up getting the spinach and feta skillet with over medium eggs. It was absolutely delicious, and it came out so fast. Can't wait to come back and try their monte crisco, the waitstaff talked it up so much.

Nice little breakfast stop - service was fantastic - she was quick, checked on us multiple times, and got the order perfect! I had the veggie omelette and asked for extra crispy hashbrowns which they did perfectly. My better half had the French toast and he said it was nice thick cuts and had a cinnamon sugar type topping on it that gave it a great crunch. Everyone there was friendly and we will be back!

In addition to their regular menu, DPH always has a Weekly Special Menu. Once I saw what the weekly special pasta was, I had to have it. I am a huge fan of Smoked Salmon and they did theirs in house. The pasta not only had the smoked salmon, it also had sautéed red onion, a tangy European style cream cheese sauce and cavatappi pasta with fried cappers and fresh dill. The cream sauce was perfect. It was just a light covering, enough for flavor without being overwhelming. As always, the portion was healthy, so I had leftovers for the next days lunch. I enjoyed it chilled and it was like eating a cold pasta salad. DPH always gets bonus points from me for having eco-friendly to-go vessels. I've ordered a variety of different breakfasts and have never been disappointed. My recent outing, I enjoyed their Chicken Fried Steak with a side of scrambled eggs, Hash Browns and a Biscuit. When the waitress asked if I wanted Hash Browns or American Fries, I asked her what her favorite was and she said Hash Browns and she recommended adding onions. I took her advice and she was so right. I also liked that they put the Milk Gravy on the side, so I could add it to my Chicken Fried Steak and to my fluffy biscuit. Another thing that I like here, is their seasoning. They do not over salt in the preparation. The service here is friendly and attentive. I typically sit at the small counter, so I do not tie up one of the tables dining alone. One of the advantages of sitting at the counter, my coffee cup is never empty. All the waitress keep it full, since the coffee station is right there. I need to expand my experience and go here for lunch. I've heard the burgers are pretty delicious, too.

Thick meaty thighs, curvaceous legs and wings that look as if the chicken has been pumping iron at the local gym. Big pieces, crispy flavorful coating and juicy meat. I primarily do carry-out and the quality of their take out is equally as good as when dining in the restaurant. Pick-up is smooth and fast, as they have a separate entrance and room for take-out. The staff is friendly and very professional. The service has that family owned business feel. If you're a fan of Onion Rings, I recommend enjoying an order as an appetizer. Their rings are super big and made in house. I do not like onion rings that come from a bag. When ordering my sides, I like mashed potatoes with white gravy. They also offer brown gravy, if that is your thing. My other side is always green beans. They make their green beans with bacon and onion. It reminds me of my momma's. With those two sides, it is a true Sunday Chicken Dinner on any day of the week. I've been coming to Castelli's my entire life. I started coming here as a child when it was called, Moonlight. Many of the locals still call it, Moonlight and no-one will correct them, because we all know where they are talking about. Service in the carry-out room is always speedy and friendly. So if you're a fan of fried chicken, I recommend ordering on-line for a pick-up. Or, treat yourself to a night out and dine in the restaurant. Remember to order the onion rings.
