Philly Cheesesteak Omelette - A breakfast plate includes a folded omelette, two slices of toasted bread, and a serving of breakfast potatoes. The plate is on a table with a red and white paper placemat, alongside a fork and knife. In the background, there is a glass of soda, scrambled eggs, bacon, and additional breakfast items. The setting appears to be a casual dining restaurant.

I'm not going to slam them for bad food. Actually, the food was pretty tasty. Except cheesecake was served in a hot dish. Anyway, the entire time I was there, there was a group of about 4-5 employees talking about other employees right behind my booth where the servers put in their orders. The radio in the kitchen drowned out the music in the dining room. It was absolutely ridiculous. I couldn't coherently hear a damn thing. Employees need to be respectful of their patrons and bitch on their lunch break.

Chicken Noodle soup (cup)

We were traveling from Ohio to Virginia and stopped in to have lunch at this Denny's. I generally only stop at fast food restaurants during my travels, but I had my mom, aunt and grandmother with me and they all requested a dine in establishment. Their first words when I suggested Denny's was, "Yes! You can always count on Denny's for good food and consistency". That pretty much sums up Denny's. This particular Denny's did not disappoint. Since we'd been on the road for several hours, we first stopped at their restrooms. There are only 2 stalls, so it was a short wait. The restroom was cramped, but clean. We requested seating in their sun room, which they obliged. I don't have a big appetite, so I just ordered an unsweetened iced tea and a cup of their chicken noodle soup, which was more than enough for me. I think I ate for around $5! You just don't see that in sit down restaurants anymore. Sure, you can spend a lot at Denny's, but they also have affordable options for those with a small appetite. Denny's does offer a kids menu and a senior menu for over 55 as well. My mom also ordered a cup of their chicken noodle soup, but also went for a side salad with Ranch and a Coke. My grandmother and aunt both ordered one of their new skillet meals...one got the South by Southwest Skillet and the other ordered the Rio Ranchero Skillet. They both completely finished their meals quite satisfied and happy with their purchases. In fact, we all left feeling good with our choices. Smiles all around! Our service was average; not over the top, but we weren't left feeling like we'd had bad service. All in all, it was good stop and I definitely recommend.

Love the 9 grain pancake slam. Service is always excellent, which is not the case for some other Danny's.

Applebee's (LaVale, MD), mid-January, 2026. My husband and I were traveling on I-68 near…read moreCumberland, MD, and needed a lunch stop that would be restful (from driving) but also relatively fast as we still had a few hours of driving ahead of us. We were seated quickly at the Applebee's, and decided to order from their 2 for $25 menu; as usual, we would split the food. This is A LOT of food for $25 -- a full-sized appetizer to share, plus two full-sized entrees. We ordered the Spinach and Artichoke Dip as our appetizer (usually $12.99), which is topped with Parmesan cheese and served with white corn tortillas and chipotle lime salsa. I ordered the new O-M-Cheeseburger (normally $11.99), that featured a juicy, all-beef burger, topped with American cheese, Applewood-smoked bacon, and spicy honey mustard, served in a sizzling skillet of molten queso and a blend of cheddar cheese. I selected the garlic mashed potatoes as my side. My husband ordered a Grilled Oriental Chicken Salad (usually $16.99), which features grilled chicken on a bed of Asian greens, crunchy noodles, and almonds tossed in an Oriental vinaigrette. It's served with a breadstick that has been brushed with buttery garlic and parsley. Food. (Rating: 4/5). Our appetizer (5/5) arrived within five minutes of our order, and it was very tasty. The entrees were delivered before we had finished the appetizer. Since we would be splitting our entrees, we were pleased to see that the burger was already cut in half with both pieces served in the molten cheese. While the O-M-Cheeseburger (4/5) was tasty, we'll probably go back to a traditional cheeseburger for future orders as our entree was somewhat messy and had too much cheese for our tastes. The garlic mashed potatoes were AMAZING, and were also good dipped in the molten cheese. We were so full after eating the appetizer and the burger entree that we opted to take the second entree, the salad, as take-out. We ate the salad (3/5) the next day. While we both tend to like sweet things, the dressing was far too sweet for both of our tastes. Quantities and value were excellent, but most food at Applebee's is a nutritional bomb. Even the GRILLED oriental chicken salad has 1440 calories, while the O-M-Cheeseburger came in at 1680 calories. Our waitress was excellent, and we had finished our relaxing lunch within 45 minutes (within our goal). We would eat here again.

I can't believe what they were thinking when they packed my order. They are incredibly stingy with takeout orders, I felt scammed. I guess they try to save money by skimping on takeout orders? Very weird business practice. Be wary of this if ordering takeout, they do not operate like a normal Applebees and are EXTREMELY stingy.

She handled things professionally. She made sure Marv knew where she placed each item, treated him respectfully and was just super. The food was really delicious this visit. My eggs were cooked exactly how I like them, sunny side up. Most places over-cook the eggs or have the grill too hot and burn the eggs. The country-fried steak was tender, well-seasoned and smothered in delicious gravy. The atmosphere was rather quiet and seating comfortable.

I pulled in, hoping for comfort food. First impressions? Solid. The place was clean, warm, and had that "your grandma's living room meets country gift shop" vibe. I was greeted right away and seated no wait, no fuss. Enter Kiersten, my server. She was quick with the coffee, cool with my questions, and clearly knew the menu better than I know my own blood type. Props to her. I went with the build-your-own breakfast. The hash brown casserole? Comfort in every bite. The sausage? Spiced just right. And then... there was the ham. Listen, I respect a bold flavor, but this ham came in swinging like it had something to prove. Salty doesn't even cover it. If I'm being honest it was like licking a hand full of Morton salt. Meanwhile, the biscuits crumbled like my will to finish them, and the gravy bless its heart was more of a warm suggestion than a flavorful statement. Glad I crossed it off the list....... like trying candy corn as an adult. Now I know what it's about, I know I'm good.
