    Meatloaf and two sides
    Haj R.

Stopped by this place when driving back from Pennsylvania. Standard Cracker Barrel set up (tables, decorations, front gift shop). We were seated immediately and ordered. Sadly we waited for over 25 minutes for our order to come out. Wait staff informed us the cook staff had a few people call in sick. We finally received our order. The batter fried pickles were okay. Ordered the meatloaf and it was very disappointing - dry, no flavor. My family got chicken and dumplings and also another major disappointment. No chicken and dumplings were chewy and. It edible. Wait staff said we could return but by that time, we were not satisfied and paid our bill and left. I don't recommend this place if you are looking for home cooked and hearty meals.

The store is always nice. It was packed and loud. The bathroom was clean. The food was meh. The fried chicken and chicken tenders were juicy and good. The Mac and cheese we ordered (two orders) were cold. The sausage gravy and biscuits were highly under seasoned! I had to take it home and season it better. Our server hardly checked on us, but she was checking on her other tables. We had to ask for syrup after waiting 10 minutes. She wasn't a good server at all. There was about 6 managers just standing around watching. We had to get her attention for drinks and boxes to go. I don't recommend this location.

Boneless fried chicken with Macaroni n' Cheese and fries

Cracker Barrel was absolutely fantastic. I'm not that big on eating breakfast but this place is delicious and is everything you need when your hungry for breakfast lunch or dinner. It has that nice old country feeling when you sitting down relaxing and eating with your family. It's a great place. So I ended up getting the boneless fried chicken with Mac and cheese and fries. Also had the biscuits and everything was great.

Country Boy Breakfast, also French Toast, Eggs, Bacon, and a Fruit Bowl.

This time I was passing by at dinner time so checked it out. It was Trivia Night so I opted for outside at one of the small 3 patio tables. The street has an outdoor dining vibe with two other restaurants also with outdoor seating. You put in your order at the bar (at least this Wednesday night) with a welcoming bartender on easy check list for sushi and ramen. I was stopping on the late side and those finishing their meals were clearly enjoying themselves. Many knew each other across tables as lots of stopping by for chats among friends. The pork belly in the ramen was definitely my jam as it had a crunchy top with easy to come apart pieces. Definitely the highlight. Not nearly as big a fan of the Asian greens which fell into almost a paste, the mushrooms not looking like they were fresh (to be fair there is a shiitake option I missed), and the smoked eggplant a little too chewy. And I took a flyer on the "special broth" without asking what it was so that is on me. But the really dark perhaps cinnamon infused (don't hold me to it) version was not something for me. The noodles were ample but not plentiful and were legit. So I think I'd opt for Nori instead of Asian greens next time and go with more traditional toppings. But definitely endorse the pork belly. I tried a smoked eggplant sushi role as something new. Just fine, I've tried it but I'll try another combo they have next time. And I know the economics are tough these days and specialty roles are routinely low teens in cost, but I'd suggest a two tier pricing scheme rather than $13.00 for one with a single ingredient and just 6 rather than normally 8 for specialty rolls. Glad I stopped and I will again to try some of the other fare. Just may be a little more traditional in my choices next time.

I had the ramen. The broth tastes canned and not homemade and the noodles had been prepared in…read moreadvance.

We even got to meet the owner who was working behind the bar. Ambiance is cool. They have a little shop area that you can buy local art work, soaps, and jewelry. They have a sitting area with just couches and a table. There are various board games you can play. There are different types of seating. You can sit at the bar, high top bench area, normal dining area with chairs, or sit in front of the ramen bar and watch her chef it up! The food was ok. I give this a 5 star review because my partner was obsessed with the ramen bowl and the sushi (i didn't get a picture of the sushi unfortunately). The corn dip was great. It had a lot of flavor but i will say, the portion size was off. Not happy about how little dip we got. There were tons of left over chips. The chips tasted like they were made in house. The old fashioned was great. We opted for the in house bourbon. The espresso martini was a disappointment. The size of this was very small for the price. I even asked the owner about this, and he informed me it was an illusion based on the shape of the glass. I don't believe that because i was barely buzzed. It also didn't come with a rim like stated in the drink description. The India power bowl was also a huge let down. I opted for quinoa. The butter chicken, chickpeas, and quinoa were super dry. Not very impressed. It didn't have much Indian spice flavor. Best to stick to the sushi and the ramen bowl.

Service was amazing - welcoming and very helpful to orient us to how to order. Warm, friendly and professional throughout our stay. The business area in historic downtown Cumberland is undergoing major work on the street and sidewalks - but it was easy to find free parking nearby and had no problem finding our way here.
