The worst slow service. It took over an hour to get my food. I ordered the salmon dinner. It came cold, was slimy and smelled like ammonia. Ammonia is a sign of fish & seafood being rancid, so I talked to a guy named Jeremy who said that he was management, but I doubt that due to his snarky rude behavior. #79/2023 This Denny's sits right next to the truck stop off of the interstate. As of December 2023 it is currently open 24 hours. It's like any other Denny's pretty much has a very strong local clientele. I came in for breakfast Sunday morning on the 3rd of December 2023. They were a little crowded but they were able to accommodate me quite quickly I just beat the after church crowd LOL that would be coming in. First thing I ordered was a cawfee I opted for the original Grand slam. I asked for the eggs to be soft scrambled the meat choice I didn't want the bacon and the sausage I went with all sausage links. The food came out quite promptly the eggs were very nice and hot the sausage was very hot the only drawback was the pancakes were kind of cool not really hot. So on the waitress came back I mentioned that the eggs and meat were really good but the pancakes for some reason were not quite hot I didn't have to blow on them and I can put my hand on them and they were just warm to touch she said I'll get you some hot fresh ones so about 3 minutes later out they came that second round no questions asked there they were piping hot and fluffy! That was quite impressive right there in itself. This is definitely what I would call an above average Denny's and therefore it does warrant the four stars upon first visit probably since before covid I don't remember the last time I stopped into this Denny's but it's been probably 3.5 years or more. But keep up the good work they're showing a lot of signs of this one of definitely quality contrary to some of the other reviews that's my review. read more

The place is the same as any restaurant. Pretty clean. The servers were very nice, but the food was mediocre. I got icing with a side of pancake, a side of scrambled eggs, bacon and hashbrowns. The sides weren't bad, but don't get the cinnamon pancake slam if you are likely to develop diabetes. This meal will definitely trigger that. other wise, decent food. read more

This is the worst Denny's I have eaten at by far. I am a truck driver and have eaten at some horrible places this takes the cake for sure. Our food was cold there were maybe 4 tables other than us. 5 waitresses and so few people in the restaurant you would think it would be fresh. So disappointed!! Upon initial arrival, I needed to use the restroom after a long night of traveling. I went into the restroom and it didn't look as though the restroom had been cleaned yet. It was 6:20am. As I was using the restroom one of the employees went in and used the restroom as well, she left before I did and I happened to catch on to her not washing her hands. She was serving people their plates. She was the only one wearing hoop earrings. Then my daughter found a hair in her food as well. I was so grossed out that I had to force myself to eat something from there since I hadn't eaten for 10 hours of traveling on the road. I wouldn't recommend this location at all. Always cold. The store is often dirty. Servers are often unclean and service is slow. Cooks are loud and rude and staff is often found talking with others. Have also heard of an employee getting their son hired there who sells drugs in the parking lot. That part is hearsay but it more often is a restaurant I don't want to eat at. read more

We arrived for breakfast at 9:15. By 9:45am all of our party was seated. It took almost an hour for them to come and take our order. Once our order was taken it took another hour before our order arrived, in sections. Three other tables were seated after us and all were served before us. Most of our food was served cold or not prepared correctly. When we inquired about the Manager, we were told she was working in the kitchen. I've worked in the food industry and good customer service is a must in this business. Your Manager LeAnn in the Kilgore, Texas location does not have these qualities. Our server spoke to Leann and she inquired from the server weather she needed to come out and speak to us. What kind of a manager does that. Her first position should have been to take the concern seriously and come out and speak to our table. She did not. When I went up to pay, at 12:27pm, I saw our server speaking to LeAnn. She shook her head, rolled her eyes and made the comment, "fine I'll go speak to them". Unbelievable attitude. By that time most everyone had left. The few that were still at the table were the younger kids. I was shocked at her behavior. After I paid and was ready to leave she did approach me, in the most unprofessional, nastiest attitude you could imagine. In my opinion to little to late. She should not have questioned the server about our concerns, she should have come directly to us. Her actions were not those of a good manager. Knowing that the manager was the one preparing the food makes it even worse. When the server commented that our order was picked up by other servers, it was clear that not only can she not manage but she's inept at running a kitchen. I've encountered bad service before but nothing like this. 3 hours to get breakfast and a manager that could not even give a damn about her customer's. Her attitude towards the situation was so unprofessional that had she been working in one of my establishments, continued employment would not have been in her future. Our server Nova did a good job under these conditions, but the Manger not so much. Get new management and we might be back.
