Sunday (Jan 1) I was at this location waiting to be served when a few tables away from me a woman not only refused to be served by the waitress (waitress's name is Alina) because she was not Caucasian BUT then continued to bash her and proceeded to tell her "Get out of my country!" the waitress tried to defend herself and the manager came over AND PAID FOR THIS RUDE WOMAN'S MEAL!! The poor waitress left to the back in tears. This manager failed to defend his coworkers & by paying for her meal he condoned her behaivor. I didn't even bother to order there. Fast service, very polite waitress named Jennifer. My husband and I ordered the Fit veggie omelette, but requested whole egg, not just egg whites. We noticed how polite Jennifer was to the cook when requesting the change we wanted to make on our order. The cook also responded politely back to Jennifer with an "okay" to the change. The omelette was excellent. The restaurant also was very clean. The other waitress was tidying up and cleaning the counters as well as Jennifer when they were not servicing customers. Totally remodeled! Stopped in around midnight to grab a coffee. We ended up ordering a breakfast skillet and a light breakfast for me. The fruit was fresh, egg & hash browns were cooked perfect. My husband said the skillet was very good & spicy! Our server, Jumary made sure our coffee cups stayed full of hot coffee. Jumary was actually the best part of our dining experience at Denny's. He noticed we brought in our own hot sauce & struck up a conversation about hot sauce & chili peppers. For some unreasonable reason I was charged in order to swap out pancakes for toast. Out of six people in our party, five of us were charged this unrealistic fee.I can't eat pancakes and I have never had an issue with substitution at any other location. I know it was only 69 cents however this seems very Ill-advised and bad customer service . On top of this issue, the service was slow. There were not enough people in the restaurant for it to warrant the time it took to be helped. Workers were behind the counter speaking to each other instead of helping their customers. read more

As far as Denny's goes, this was one of the better ones. Bathrooms were clean and well supplied. Food was prepared well and quickly. Salad greens were fresh. Broccoli cooked just right. Burger looked and tasted great. Hostess warned us AC was not working well and sat us in cool corner. read more

All I can say the food was amazing. Coming home from a day at Santa Cruz decided to stop by at 10 pm, I was expecting just ok food, Boy was I wrong the hamburgers were great the salad was fresh and green no brown what so ever, the waitress was awesome. Santa Nella seems to be a natural stopover driving between the S.F. Bay Area and L.A. as it's approximately 2-2.5 hrs. into the drive (beginning from the Bay Area). Denny's is one of several restaurant choices on this major stopover off I-5. Food was Denny's OK as the previous reviewers have said. On this morning, food seemed to take forever, as I made several trips back out to my car only to return to see that the food still hadn't come. This, despite what appeared to be an overstaffed serving crew. (Waitress was pleasant enough, just maybe not enough cooks). Wouldn't necessarily be inclined to stop by again if ever in the area based upon this experience. read more

The food was okay. Issues is there is a lot of flys. Flys falling into your food. The server by the name of Irma was okay. She had her phone on it rang as she was taking our order. Pulled off of I5 on the way home to get some dinner. Service was terrible, taking 45 minutes to deliver an omelet and roast beef sandwich. Since I wasn't too happy with the slow service, I gave a $3 tip for a $20 check. When the hostess handed me the credit card slip to sign, she had changed the tip to $8! She tried to rip me off! I tore the slip up in front of her without signing it, and she redid it to be the amount I originally put down. In hindsight, I wish I had changed it to zero. RUDE RUDE RUDE !!! While driving back from Orange County on the day after X-Mas, we stopped at this place for dinner. We had to stop, it was 8:00 pm, traffic in LA was horrible due to the holidays. The restaurant was crowded, we put our name and stood for a table. While looking at the menu, a man came from inside, and looked at us. He said - "IT WILL TAKE ONE EXTRA HOUR TO FILL YOUR ORDER". WHAT ? we did not have a table, had not ordered anything yet !! How did he know that what we are going to order ? We were going to eat - but it could just be coffee !! I have heard a lot of horror stories about Denny's rude behavior, but this one was the best. I wish there was a "ZERO" star in Yelp. read more

Well let's start at the beginning. We walked in to see the dinning room only half full but somehow still waited 10 minutes to be seated. After being seated we had waited 15 minutes for someone to ask for our drinks witch doesn't seem bad until I realised that the couple who came in after us had already gotten there drinks. I managed to wave down one of the servers who then got ours. She introduced herself and took both our drinks and food order seeing as that we had ample time to look through our menu. We then sat there at our Toblerone for an additional 25 minutes waiting for our coffee. Again I waived down another server passing by who then got ours to bring us our coffee. When she brought the coffee she made sure to let tell us " be careful, the coffee is very hot", we thanked her as she left. As I took a sip from my cup I couldn't help but laughter at the fact that both mine and my wife's coffee were stone cold. After waiting an additional 10 minutes and numerous attempts at waving down my server I finally got the attention of another whom then got ours. After hearing her tell our server that the coffee was cold she, our server then comes out with a pot only to see that our cups were still full of cold coffee. She then grabs our cups and says she will bring out two new cups of hot coffee. She comes back with our coffee and food. We begin eating. After a few minutes into enjoying our meal my wife with disgust hands me her half empty cup of coffee pointing to a lipstick print where she had been drinking. The disgusting thing is that my wife was not wearing any lipstick. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst Denny's location I've ever been to. The waitress looked like she was just released from prison with her gang tatts, there were literally 2 other tables full when we were there on a Saturday night and they acted like they were so busy they couldn't handle it. Our mozzarella sticks took 30 mins. To come out and were soggy and crumbled apart and tasted like frostbite. No sauce was brought out with them which we had to wait another 15 minutes to get. When we got our food it was sloppy and slapped together and you could taste the old dirty oil that the fries were cooked in. During the time we waited for our food we heard the waitresses arguing with each other which section to give new customers to because the other one wanted to go to break, then she made her way over to the counter yelling to the cook thank God she requested next Friday and Saturday off!!! We also kept getting a smell of mold coming from somewhere around the table or the cups we were drinking from, we couldn't figure it out. I've only been to this location 2 or 3 times and each time has gotten worse and worse. We will never come back here! read more

Went to this denny's on a Sunday night. We live about 12 miles away. I dont usually go here because of bad experiences before. Thought what the hell maybe it got better!......f**k no! Still exactly the same. Took 15 minutes to be seated at 9pm on a sunday night. (Absolutly dead inside) Then Took another 15 min just to get someone to get us a rootbeer, kids soda, and a water. Wife got the sampler. Looks like they grabbed all the garbage onion rings, gave extra fries instead of mozzarella sticks. When we FINALLY got the waitress to leave the counter (just standing around) she went over our order like we were wrong. Then brought it by after a short amount of time. There were no checkups with us. Couldn't even get a water refil. Wife was drinking out of my toddlers soda. Went to go pay noone knew what they were doing. Managers were talking about getting a closed sign for the door. I was thinking "aren't they 24 hrs?" They need to do something about the management. I've lived around here all my life and I never go here because of staff and quality. You cant keep the locals or the people traveling then you have no business. Fire everyone and start fresh. read more

Worst Service I have ever experienced. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant and it took 10 minutes just for someone to acknowledge and seat us. They were out of orange juice, and we later found out they were out of French toast. When we were ready to order, the waitress hardly gave us a chance to say we were ready and was saying she'd give us another minute when we didn't need it. We waited about 50 minutes for our food before we finally decided it wasn't worth the wait and just left. Don't stop at this dennys. A waste of time. read more

Wow, I can't believe I am yelping on Denny's but I must! Denny's has always been a dependable consistent restaurant. A group of 11 of us arrived to Denny's Santa Nella on Monday night as a stop for dinner before making the drive back home to the OC. Unfortunately the waitresses did not want to wait on us as soon as we walked in. We waited about 10 minutes before being sat in an almost empty restaurant with 2 waitresses. We were then greeted with "If you want to eat here its gonna be a while, as the manager is cooking while the cook is on break." We didn't think that was a big deal as we felt sitting down for dinner would be worth the wait. However after another 10 minutes of not being acknowledged, not even for a drink order we got the picture. We got up and left while both the waitress' looked at us and gave us the biggest smiles we had seen the whole time we were there. I suppose working at Denny's may not require the most experience food servers but we did expect some level of customer service and friendliness. read more

I would give zero stars! My husband and I walked in to this Denny's and were seated right away. It was during breakfast time and when I asked for orange juice they didn't have any! Once we got our lemonade we saw a man with a dog come into the restaurant, NOT a service dog just a dog. This is where it began.... Denny's doesn't not allow pets! Yet everyone thought the dog was the cutest thing and it was not, not when you are indoors! The staff said nothing about the animal and this is when I noticed that their judgment was impaired! We waited 30 min before we walked out, while sitting there we saw some apparent health violations. The dog was one, the cook was not wearing a hair net and we noticed our waitress walk into the kitchen and start making food, she asked the cook if he needed help and she just moseyed on over, you can't do that! You need to have food handling certificate. Also we noticed plates being taken back to the cook because the orders we not correct. Finally, two booths away from us was a man who ordered potatoes with his breakfast. I saw the waitress serve him and he noticed a hair on his plate...GROSSSSS! The waitress took it back and while taking it back she said in Spanish that the hair was not hers. This place should be shut down!!!! After not eating here and waiting 30 min we left money on the table for our drinks and walked out... We had McDonalds instead, the Golden Arches never fail. read more

I ordered Togo. I didn't realize until I got home that the Togo containers were melted. There was melted styrofoam all in my hash browns. For BOTH orders. I got charged for extra bacon twice and didn't receive it. Let's not forget that the menus have white out over the prices. They literally changed the prices with pen on the menus! So trashy. Stopped here for a quick meal expecting typical Denny's fare. We were very disappointed in this Denny's. First off as when we walked in we noticed that there were only a few tables with customers and we thought we should get really fast service. Next we noticed that a number of tables were out of service and had not been cleared, stacked with trash and dirty plates. Next we noticed trash on the floor and very dirty windows with greasy finger prints everywhere. After sitting down we waited about 5 minutes for menus which should have been our tip off to leave. After we got our menus another 10 mins went by before we ordered. We were still trying to figure out why they were so slow since there were three severs and only three or four tables to serve. We noticed that the servers were all standing around where one pays for their meal and talking talking talking. They were speaking Spanish so we couldn't understand what they were talking about but seem to be disagreeing about something. 15 mins went by, then 20 mins, then about the time we were going to leave at 30 mins our order came. The food was par for Denny's. After dropping our food off our server left and never returned until it was time to bring the bill. We both were suppose to have garlic bread but never got it. When we asked about it the server asked if we still wanted bread but we said no as we were done with dinner. This Denny's is a mess and something really needs done by Denny's Corp. read more

STOP! TURN AROUND! DO NOT ENTER! This was without a doubt the most horrible service/ dinning experience of my life. On our way home from a road trip, we decided to stop off and get some breakfast. Should have known from the beginning this was going to be a terrible decision. I stood around for 10 minutes before being acknowledge by someone in the restaurant. I had to stop two waiters and ask them if they had a hostess. All I wanted to know was if there was going to be a wait or not? Finally I get told that they could take my party of 6 right away. When they went to go seat us they took us to an dirty table. There was still food left over on the table. Disgusting. It looks like there's only two severs in the whole damn place. It's another 15 minutes before our server even greets us. He tells us that the kitchen is beyond backed up and to prepare ourselves because the food is going to be a while, Regardless of what we order. I try and order decaf and he informs me that he has to go and brew it if I want it, implying what an inconvenience it would be. I just order water. My husband tries to order orange juice and he informs us that they are all out. We try and order and appetizer and he then proceeds to inform us that there's no point in ordering one because it wouldn't be ready before the regular food. Finally we order our food and it's a good hour before it comes out. Two of the people get there food served, with out silverware. 15 minutes later the rest of the food comes out expect mine. I ordered a salad. Seriously you don't have to cook anything. By the time my food comes out everyone in my party has finished eating. We didn't get half of the things we ordered and the food was cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. I ordered an avocado chicken Cesar salad. When they brought me my salad it was a plate with lettuce and some dressing. No avocado or chicken. Wtf. This place was the worst ever. Will never ever return here. Save your time and money and just go get some McDonald's or In n out. Anything but this place. Seriously. Do not go here. read more

Horrible! When we received our breakfast order, it was cold, to the point the cheese would not melt. We sent two plates back asking them to warm them up a little more. When they returned they forgot the toast on mine and my brother's order and they left 1 piece of bread off my daughters breakfast sandwich. How could they not notice a piece of bread missing off a sandwich??? When we went to pay I asked the person at the register to split the order, but she didn't know how and charged the full amount on my card. Seriously, what's with all the flys? Here a suggestion...exterminator. Second, my wife got part of here lunch, she had breakfast and received her waffle. Then, my daughter received her lunch about 10 minutes later. Them, a few minutes after that my boy received his lunch, and finally, 7 minutes after that I received my lunch. But wait there's more, about 10 minutes after I received my lunch, they brought my wife her waxy scrambled eggs, cold sausage and greasy luke warm bacon. So if you like dodging flys, eating by yourself, even if your with a group of people, getting crappy food, and a wait staff that makes you wait about 10 minutes just to say hi to you so you can be seated, this place is for you. Otherwise I'd pick a different place or decide it's a good time to fast! read more

Traveling North we normally stop at Denny's in Patterson, which is always good, with good customer service...but no one wanted to wait the extra few miles...wrong choice. Our server Kelly was the absolute worse waitress EVER. First off when we were seated the group behind us asked her a question, I don't even know what the question was but she proceeded to lecture them..it went something like this.."We are very busy, our cooks our very busy, I have been here since 6am, I am tired, we are going as fast as we can. The group of 4 wasn't loud or rude...she was horribly rude...if I were them I would have walked out. Now for us...She was rushing us while taking our orders. I ordered a salad that I said I would be sharing with my mom, and that we both wanted to order a slice of pie as well. She proceeded to say "I'm not going to write the pie down because you might change your mind after you have your salad and its too much of a hassle to take it off your order". WHAT? I wasn't going to change my mind...but she just walked off. By then we had waited so long to be seated even though it was not overly crowded we just stayed. We got our food...and were waiting for refills on coffee and soda. Nothing. I had to take our glasses to the counter to get refills. Thankfully Kim helped us and continued helping us for the rest of our time there. She is the one who brought our desserts etc. So thanks to Kim for helping us. The absolute worst food and service I have ever had first we are told we have to pay for our food first due to THEIR screw up, try to make us pay for the tip someone else used in THIER screw up then I got my food wrong and they think slapping a tomato on is going to fix my wrong sandwich!! We overheard the waitress calling me a nasty name to the cooks and the cooks responded with laughing and said they would take care of it. We cancelled our order and left.
