Chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and veggies.
Derell A.

Popped in about 6:40 pm on a Saturday and seated fairly quickly. They have the Renaissance Fair so it was busy in a good way. I had the chicken fried steak with the clam chowder and it was delicious. Also very very generous when it comes to the servings and priced well for what you get. The clam chowder with the bread hit the spot early and was very enjoyable. Our server did a good job with everything we needed. If I had to be very picky and this is very picky is that the gravy was closer to the watery side. Overall I had a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend!

The carne asada burrito!

I'm rating the "Casa de Burrito." This is inside of the chevron and apart of the Casa the fruta establishment. The Carne Asada Burrito is Delicious! It does justice to carne asada burrito! If you see if the picture the carne asada is cooked so there's a slight pink which leaves it tender (cooked to about a medium) The red and green salsas were savory and tasted freshly made! If you're craving a burrito while on the road recommend!!

Fried chicken dinner

I love this place!!!!! The portions are off the charts (GENEROUS) I got the fried chicken juicy, juicy meat and crunchy batter, YUMMY It never disappoints. But be prepared for a big crowd. This is a popular diner style restaurant off of Pacheco Pass. Despite the crowd, the service is always prompt and attentive.

Goodies as you walk in

Nice, clean restaurant. Pretty big. Looks updated. Nice staff. We stopped by for a bite to eat for lunch before getting ice cream. We split a club sandwich, which was really good. Turns out the only ice cream they have at the restaurant is vanilla with chocolate syrup. But there is an ice cream counter right behind the restaurant in Casa de Sweets. Decent pricing at the restaurant and our server was very friendly and helpful.

We were seated right away and given menus. Server came to our table within 3 minutes. We ordered and our food arrived in less than 10 minutes. I don't have any complaints. Food is fresh, temperature was good.

Tri tip sandwich

I always stop here to get a snack but have never had their lunch. So glad we did, the fries were beer battered 10/10! I also had a Tri tip sandwich and it was amazing. Our server was also very kind and helpful. Overall had a great experience here. Definitely try it, you won't regret it!

We finally got to eat here after passing by for the past 17 years and we're glad we did. It's a no frills type restaurant with a menu similar to what you would find at Denny's or American diners. The service is great, priced fairly being an attraction location, and the portions are HUGE.

A great place to stop and eat on your way up north. They have breakfast all day. The corners hash with breakfast potatoes were very flavorful, the potatoes freshly cut and seasoned well. The prime-rib was also delicious, the perfect taste and so buttery tender. We'll definitely be returning for that prime rib!!

Pacheco Pass Special

Have driven by near numerous times usually in a hurry, finally stopped by to have breakfast. Had the Pacheco Pass Special, was delicious! Restaurant wasn't too busy at the time but there were a few other customers there as well. Gina my server was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely stop in here again when I pass by.

Took a ride with a bunch of cool people to casa de Fruta, our crew were escorted in to the back lot or there was a car show going on. After parking my ride wifey and I checked out all the little stores on the Casa de Fruta lot. Man there's so much to see and do here. They have and ice cream and coffee store, a wine and sandwich store, and a fruit and candy store, Free wine tasting (I ended up buy 2 bottles of their delicious pomegranate wine and blackberry wine. I also walked out of there with a apricot and cherry pie. Wifey got a coffee "was meh" Around the outside of the shops is a carousel, train rides, lots of old for me equipment, a water mill and rooster or two ;D. Overall it's worth a drive to check them out.

Good food and great service. The place was crowded on our arrival. However, got seated fast and our needs were met quickly.

Did not like the menu. Need more waiters. Breakfast menu was limited in combos. Good service but slow when crowded.

The staff is very kind and clearly working hard, but the system itself feels completely unorganized. It honestly feels like everyone is on their first day at the same time. Tables don't seem to be divided in a logical way. Instead of one server handling inside and another the patio, servers are running back and forth between both areas, which slows everything down. During our visit, we ordered drinks with one person, placed our food order with who I think was our actual waitress, had our food delivered by someone from the kitchen who wasn't sure which table it belonged to, got refills from someone who may have been the manager or owner, and didn't see our waitress again until we had to go ask for the check ourselves. Kitchen staff were walking out with dishes asking around to find the right table, which added to the confusion. Everyone is friendly and clearly trying their best, but the lack of organization makes the experience inefficient and a bit stressful as a customer. I would still recommend Buenos Días Cafecito if you have time and patience that day. The food really is that good, just don't come in a rush or expecting smooth service.

Food: I didn't want to eat anything too heavy before hiking, so I ordered the tuna melt sandwich, which unfortunately was a fail. I'm not sure how you can really mess up a tuna melt, but the bread was soggy and drenched in butter. The tuna itself was greasy and way too peppery. I couldn't even finish it because I felt like I was going to get hyperlipidemia! The onion rings were burnt, and they had run out of ranch. Their pancakes were good, though -- I guess that explains the name "Flapjacks." The restroom was disgusting, like it hadn't been cleaned in forever. There were dust mites everywhere, along with rusty and greasy areas that needed more than just a little TLC. There wasn't even any soap, so I had to use my own antibacterial wipes. The restroom felt like a gas station experience. Personally, I believe a restroom reflects the condition of the kitchen.

You can tell there is real craftsmanship in the baking. The atmosphere here perfectly encapsulates the Hollister spirit. It has that beautiful country, organic, farm-to-table feel that makes you want to stay all day. A huge shoutout to David, who did an amazing job basically building everything himself; the attention to detail in the space is stunning. The staff is top-tier as well. The initial views make you wanting more. Walk up the ramp into their bakery. They had all sorts of yummie looking #pastries to drool over. They have cookies, ice cream and a few hot and cold meals. We shared a pumpkin croissant which was topped with toasted almonds. I suggest getting it warmed up. Their selections change with the seasons so be sure to check their website on their offerings. And as you drive off, be sure to drive slow and check out all of the cute decor and signs they have along the way.
