    Sausage heaven!
    Samantha h.

We made a detour on the way to Yosemite just to try this place out. It was well worth it. This place is like sausage heaven. We got a sausage sandwich and they were both awesome. Someone also came out and gave our dog a pig, which was very friendly. We ended up getting 10 different kinds of sausage to take home. One of which was a sausage I haven't had since I was in Pennsylvania. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. There was easy parking right out front. There's a space outside to eat and your dog is welcome. It was busy when we came, but I would expect that for such an awesome place. I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely return if given the opportunity. Only a few weeks after being back from Yosemite I was jonesing for more sausage and looked online to see if some could be ordered to our house, but unfortunately that's not an option so I should've bought more.

I loooove sausages and came across this place while driving back from Yosemite. The service was really friendly. I had to make a lot of tough decisions knowing I had limited space in my fridge at home. I got 8 different flavors. I'd say 2 of them were a hit for me, the others were alight. My favorites were the hot link and the blueberry one, but I didn't enjoy the fig/gorgonzola (I knew it would be experimental haha) primarily because the texture was weird and it was too salty. I thought the chuckwagon was alright and wasn't salty enough (I have 3 more left, so maybe it happens the one I had wasn't mixed thoroughly). I think I would have preferred more variability in the sausage, some surprise chunks of pork and some finely ground to mix up the textures. I smoked all of the sausages so go to try them all while they were juicy. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area! I love trying all these exciting combinations - this is definitely my candy shop.

Smoked maple bacon was sold out when we came.

With over 70 different varieties of house made sausages! We're talking about sausages made out of; chicken, pork, beef, and yes, even brisket! If you have ever been to the VERY popular Corralitos Market in Watsonville, Wolfsen's is its 'twin' but A-LOT closer! People going north and south on the I-5 pull off to stop at this iconic place. It is only about 15 minutes away from Los Banos, San Joaquin Valley National (military) Cemetery, and Santa Nella. AND since I read that they ALSO make great sandwiches, WE-HAD-TO-TRY-IT! We bought: the hot bbq pork sandwich, brisket sandwich, and made up a Reuben sandwich to split them all in half. The clear winner was the hot brisket sandwich! We also picked up some Irish Beer bangers and Gold Rush (brisket) sausages for our son. They also have smoked sausage, smoked salmon, smoked bacon and ham. All are vacuum sealed. To me, it's worth a trip just to go visit Gustine California, where it is located! In springtime, it's beautiful, nestled in the center of farmlands. . . If you drive down the one small Main Street in Gustine, it is just like many old towns in the 1960s. Like going back in time. . . you could stay at the hotel Mission de Oro in Santa Nella, and not too far in Newman, California is Stewart and Jasper Orchards, that have almond tasting in their company store. All of these stops are within 10 miles or less. Only a little over an hour and a half from FRESNO! Worth checking out!

"Detoured from the Standard I5 locations and now questioning all my life choices." Been driving between LA and SF for 24 years, and this is the first time I've veered off the "5" food circuit. WHAT TOOK ME SO LONG?! Wolfsen's Meat and Sausage is like stumbling into a smoky, meaty wonderland run by flavor sorcerers. Got a tri-tip that slapped harder than my mom when I said I wasn't hungry. Extra live for having GF bread!!! I can't believe they have it, not just a lettuce wrap but actual GF BREAD ROLLS. heaven. 10/10 detour. Will reroute every time. Sorry In-N-Out, it's not you--it' Wolfsens

I stumbled upon this place because I was craving for a good sandwich. I ordered a turkey sandwich which comes with loaded fixings. Very friendly people working behind the counter. Efficient. A true deli and meat store

Kind staff, quick service and good food for a great price! Meat counter and ordering counter, some small tables to sit outside.

How long do you cure a ham?

We cure ours for about 5 days then we let it sit in clean water for one day to get rid of some of the saltiness then we hang them and smoke to an internal temp of 150f.

Seating area consists of 3 tables, and they've got one of those mini arcade games for the kiddos as well. Overall pretty small dining area but Gustine isn't a big city so didn'texpect a ton of seating. Menu is displayed on a couple of monitors in the wall as you come in. The pasta is cooked in an open kitchen right behind the counter as you order. Pretty neat to be able to watch them make your order. Ordered the Volcanic Fettuccine because who doesn't like a spicy Italian dish right? Got it in a bread bowl with added chicken so cost was just shy of 20 bucks because of the upgrades. Didn't end up eating on site because it was really close to closing time for them and didn't want to be "that guy" so took my order home. The fettuccine was really good, cooked well, and the sauce was actually spicy. Not as spicy as I was hoping it would be, but it did have a nice kick. I'd definitely have it again. Overall, nice family run place with home made pasta. Would have ordered a pizza, but they ran out of pizza dough, since it is house made they don't have any extra in the fridge/freezer like you'd expect at a lot of places. If you are in the Gustine area looking for some really good home made pasta check them out. Definitely worth the drive.

This place is like a condensed Panda Express, with chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken, kung pow chicken, and broccoli beef as their mains. There are egg rolls and chicken wings as well as a variety of boba drinks. You can order plates (one entree + two sides) or you can even order catering. We ordered: - Plate of chow mein with double orange chicken - Taro and mango smoothies with boba/mango popping, respectively The SO is a chow mein faithful. Unfortunately, this version was not up to par (compared to PandEx). He also said the orange chicken was only OK and very saucy/less meaty. I tried a bit of both and was underwhelmed. The drinks we had were great! Boba had a good chew. Service is really nice! They do move like concrete, though. Currently, if you purchase a plate, you can either get a bottle of water or a toy (I suppose for the kiddos). We got both LOL! Overall, glad Good Times now has opps because they're terrible, but this Chinese food place is only slightly better than them.
