This review is strictly for the new Golden Dragon Chinese takeout within the Newman Food Store…read more Located right off Fresno Street in Downtown Newman, the Golden Dragon is newly installed within the grocery store, and rivals nearby Good Times. This place is like a condensed Panda Express, with chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken, kung pow chicken, and broccoli beef as their mains. There are egg rolls and chicken wings as well as a variety of boba drinks. You can order plates (one entree + two sides) or you can even order catering. We ordered: - Plate of chow mein with double orange chicken - Taro and mango smoothies with boba/mango popping, respectively The SO is a chow mein faithful. Unfortunately, this version was not up to par (compared to PandEx). He also said the orange chicken was only OK and very saucy/less meaty. I tried a bit of both and was underwhelmed. The drinks we had were great! Boba had a good chew. Service is really nice! They do move like concrete, though. Currently, if you purchase a plate, you can either get a bottle of water or a toy (I suppose for the kiddos). We got both LOL! Overall, glad Good Times now has opps because they're terrible, but this Chinese food place is only slightly better than them. I am giving 1 extra star for being in a really well-stocked grocery store. The food itself gets 2 stars.

Shopping can be a little difficult if there are more than 4 people inside. Gathering groceries are done by utilizing a hand baskets (no shopping carts). This store fulfills the quick veggie/fruit needs of both the regular patron but more focused on supplying the needs of those who receive WIC. This store carries dairy products (milk/cheese), whole grain cereal, veggies, fruits, and bagged/canned beans but focuses more on baby food and baby food products and Enfamil milk. One thing I like about this store I appreciate is the fact that the workers are able to assist you to your car with your groceries if needed. When you have small children with you things can get a little wacky. Haha! I'm sure all the new mommies just agreed right now. There are steps and a separate ramp for wheelchair/stroller access too so that's a plus. *Giving all you new mommies all a high five* YOU GOT THIS! One thing I MUST mention is this place feels like the inside of a refrigerator so definitely bundle up unless you have extremely thick skin. Okay, that's all for now. Happy Shopping Friends!

If your job is so miserable go work at McDonald's or somewhere else. I will seriously NEVER COME here again. If there's one thing I always look for in a business is customer service the way you treat your customers is #1 they make you your business. But then again poor education and no experience has a lot to do with it. I'd rather just wait in line somewhere else. If I could I would give no stars.
