So every Denny's I have ever eaten at are generally decent for the type of place it is. Food tastes pretty much the same at each location. What made the difference here was the service. This waitress almost bought the the ghetto out of me. I felt it stirring in my stomach I couldn't ever finish eating. It was a heavy set blond I think she was European or something. I'm sure that customer service was not her calling. They where of course understaffed so Im sure no matter how she is her job is secure at Denny's. I guess I've come a long way in life. This is the worst Denny's I have ever been to. We waited 35 minutes for our food and when it came out it was cold. The two waitresses that were working were slowly walking to take care of customers. We were seated by the hostess. She got our drinks for us right away and then we sat for 15 minutes waiting on a waitress. When the waitress finally came over (after she talked with her regular customers) she was very nice. We said we already know what we want and then ordered. I ordered a sandwich and my husband ordered a burger. While we waited 35 minutes the waitress never came back over, so we got the hostess to fill our drinks. Eventually our food came out and when it did it was extremely cold. We were hungry, and of course I am pregnant so we ate our cold food. We paid $47 for the worst meal ever and sat for over an hour to see the worst show of waitressing, we will never go back. Do not waste your time here, the staff could careless. So I've read the other reviews, and I think it's important to note what meal you ate, lunch, dinner or breakfast. I happened to stumble in there last night/this morning at 2am and there was one friendly server, and one cook. I ordered the club sandwich with a budlight, my friend ordered eggs bacon an hashbrowns. Decent helping size, she said food was good, eggs were fluffy, bacon was thick and hashbrowns were good and crisp. My club sandwich came with a different style of fry, not bad at all. The club sandwich was awesome. Fatty helpings of turkey and bacon. Unlike te other reviews, this bacon was perfect. Thick crisp, like mom makes. Not sure who the cook is on other shifts but this guy has it together. Makes you wonder why the graveyard shift cook has more skills than the crackhead working the day shifts. Judging by the other reviews an all. Food came within a reasonable time and the check was on the table before I was done eating, makes since seeing how there were only one other group in while we were there. Poor fella had to get up and go yell at a toilet before his food showed up, made for an interesting bathroom experience. Puke and rally buddy. Anyway, not a bad late night munchies stop, wish there were more servers like Karen on graveyard shifts in this line of work. What a refreshing change when dining early in the am. read more

Our party went there at around 12:30am this morning. They did not have enough help, but that was okay because you kind of have to expect that during the time we went. Our waitress was really good and tried her best, the manager, however, shouldn't be a manager. He was too busy talking to his friends and screwing around instead of helping the staff. My husband and I went in for dinner on Friday night about 7pm. We were sat and within a few minutes our server came over and took our drink order. He dropped our drinks off and left, he returned about 5 minutes later and took our order. A different server brought our food out. At the time there was about 10 tables in the restaurant and I did see 4 servers working. Our server never came back (nor did another server or a manager) until he dropped the bill off, and even then never asked if we needed or wanted anything else. I drank cold coffee with my meal and my husband never got another refill on his drink. My food was greasy and I would have liked some extra napkins. This is the second time we have been there for dinner and the second time we have had horrible service. I hope they get it together, I do like the new menu they have. read more

Why is the food here so different? My favorite Denny's is the one located off of I80 on Mccarran. Food is great and staff is always nice at the Mccarran site. Fernley restaurant staff is rude. The waitress became upset when I asked for Ketchup for my fries. Next time I'll just wait till I get to Reno before stopping for food. read more

Worst Dennys experience ever. It was freezing cold in the restaurant, for starters. I overheard several other people complaining about it too, so it wasn't just me. Took our waitress forever to refill our drinks. We finally had to ask for the refills and still were made to wait. The restaurant was nearly empty too, it was late, there were only a few people there. We still tipped our waitress, it was her first day and the other waitresses were not helping. One was slicing lemons or something while the newby ran ragged all over the restaurant. The food was incredibly bland, even for a Dennys. We went out of our way to stop here because we're truckers and get tired of fast food and convenience store food. Went to Denny's recently and was disappointed. The service was really slow only got one refill the whole time I was there. The Waiters body language was way off almost as if he seemed he didn't want to be there. The waiter took my order without writing it down and he got it wrong. I Asked for scrambled eggs on my burger and was given sunny side up, low and behold my burger was soggy and runny. I told the waiter about it and he gave me a blank stare for a bit and asked if I wanted scrambled eggs, I declined though just wanted to leave. I come into this Denny's many times. The staff is always friendly. One of the best Denny's I have ever been to. The food is good.

We eat there a couple of times a month and always happy with the food. Consistently good. There was a table of 8 in the middle of the restaurant next to our booth. The tables were pushed together. After they left my wife noticed the waitress had separated the tables and first wiped off the chairs then table tops at all four tables with the same rag. She pushed all of the excess food and crayolas onto the floor and just left it. We left and there is a machine we play just outside the restaurant. We kept watching and how lone it would take for them to clean up the mess. Almost 40 minutes before someone swept up the food on the floor, very obvious. The manager we were watching obviously didn't care about the mess. He spent most of this time setting on a stool up at the counter and back to the wall. Not very clean and will not be going back. You would have thought that the floor manager, for a Sunday, very busy day, would have been all over the staff about cleanliness. My wife and I have managed kitchens and dinning rooms and this was not acceptable. We live in Fernley. read more

Service was not good at all. I asked for a booth there were several open booths, and a few half booths. She asked if I wanted a full booth or a half. I said full. She kept leading me around all the booths and then another waitress asked if she needed help. She said in a very loud voice that "she doesn't want a half" and then said to me, "well I guess I'll just have to put you in a large booth and if a large party comes in they will have to wait" ok rude!! Then while we were waiting for our food another waitress felt like she needed to complain about a few customers right in ear shot of us. Apparently she wasn't very impressed with the people sitting in both 64 or 65. She was very gossipy and we heard it all. She was complaint to the manager who was taking it all in. depends on the day and time. i have had great wait staff and i have had horrible wait staff. one time i had to walk out because it took forever to get out food. finally we left and the manager gave us a free meal the next time we decided to come in. other times the food was on time, hot and the service was great. so i can't say the best, because the service is sporadic. but most of the time it's good. most of the wait staff are excellent. they do honor free birthday dinners with just a show of ID, you don't have to sign up for the coupons from their website. read more

I go there for the tortilla burger. Had 2 previously and they were good. Today my chips were way over cooked and the hamburger party has shrunk in size and was over done and dry. I spoke to the manager and she said the patty size has been reduced (no price reduction) by corp. She did ppoligize for it all being over done and took it off our bill. I'm a regular customer at this Denny's and I've never had an issue here until today. Went in for breakfast. The other guests with me received there food and I was waiting for at the very least 15-20 min for my food. Really not a big deal but my table had already finished there food and I was still waiting. I went to the waiter to check on my order. Maybe something got mixed up, I thought. The response was rude and completely unprofessional. Instead of looking into it she looks around the room and says "can't you see why? I know you can't see it from your eyes but we are busy! Can't you see!?" At that point I asked her to cancel my order. I spoke to the manager and his response was "I'm sorry that we are losing you as a customer." Completely condescending. I don't want free food but i expect a good attitude and some customer service. What I received from the waiter and manager was disappointing. My final point. Don't expect great service coming into this place on a consistent basis. I wouldn't expect much from the manager either. The first two times we had lunch at this Denny's it was consistent with Denny's fare. The third and fourth time it was positively awful. The service was painfully slow and our lunch hour was over by the time we got our food. The food was cold, sandwiches not toasted at all and key ingredients left off of our sandwiches. The waitress only came by once and did not make up for our sandwiches being made inconsistent with the menu. The last two times there was hardly anyone in the restaurant and it still took forever. When we had lunch here yesterday the waitresses were arguing with the cook and the food was coming back to the kitchen because it was not made consistent with the menu. Our waitress was not attentive at all and while we were waiting forever for our food, never apologized for the wait, never checked on us or filled my friend's coffee cup until we were ready to leave. The people sitting across from us shook their heads as they got up to leave and wished us good luck in receiving our food. The experience was very uncomfortable and did not feel like a typical Denny's. I kept hoping Gordon Ramsey from Kitchen Nightmares would walk out of the kitchen to fix this restaurant. read more

my wife and I went to dennys on 10/1/2018 she ordered waffle ,strawberry's when it was brought to our table she ask for some whipped cream the waitress said they did not have any .....I ordered the turkey dinner, when they served it the waitress said they did not have any mashed potatoes. the mashed potatoes came when we were ready to leave. why didn't the waitress tell us that before hand ??? also must have been the mgrs. day off there were at least 5 tables that needed bussing or cleaned. they were still like that when we left .. we ask the waitress how much the turkey dinner to go was she did not know she had to go get another employee. we ask here the same question she tried to tell us but could not talk right as if choking on here words or something ...
