Lisa was great, seeing my confused look at the dinner menu and was quick with the recommendation of the Bourbon Chicken Skillet. And I feel like a genius for listening to her advise. A savory bourbon sauce on top of broccoli, squash and potatoes sizzling beneath not 1 but 2 seasoned chicken breasts. Now, I understand the chef was following some corporate recipe. But I also know IKEA makes furniture that a 4 year old can supposedly put together and grown adults still screw those up. The point is, my meal had to be one the best renditions of this menu item recreated. The original creators back at corporate would be proud of how well this was made. Service was great, very attentive and friendly. We were seated right away, scored a booth, and our meals came out quickly. I wanted just an over-hard fried egg (perfect), roasted potatoes, and fruit. The server was so friendly and nice! She went above my expectations of a Dennys server. The food was great this time. The grand Slam never fails. One of my kids ordered a spicy chicken sandwich which she did not eat. It was like freezer burnt chicken soaked in hot sauce. It did NOT look like chicken. That's for sure. I stopped in here a little after midnight heading from Milwaukee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I didn't expect much from a Denny's at this hour. I ended up receiving the best service I have had anywhere in a long time. The night manager served me personally and was on it. Me and my family visited this location late Wed evening they were kinda of busy but they seated my party of 6 pretty quickly! Les then 5 minutes and we were sitting at are table ordering drinks! The table was very clean and the little condiment section of are table was partly stocked. Our waitress was very friendly and patient especially with small children ordering. I go to Denny's occasionally, when i walked in to this location it smelled nice and looked/was clean. Right off the bat the employees were very nice. At the booth my family was sat had a rip in the seat but was covered by duck tape. Are waiter was very nice and really funny. The food was pretty normal for a Denny's. My friend and I came here around 9am on Saturday after seeing our hotel's disappointing breakfast bar. There is almost nowhere in Elyria to get breakfast except for this place. Normally I don't go to Denny's, but I made an exception this time around because I was starving. The menu was surprisingly big. And you can customize any dish to a certain extent without getting additional charges. Our waitress was very friendly and inviting...which was nice a on rainy morning that canceled our plans to visit CP that day. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak omelet which was a little greasy, but not too bad. My friend ordered some pancakes and eggs combo. I tried to find an open restaurant on Christmas Day that offered take-out. Take out is my only option, as my husband is home / wheelchair bound. I stopped at Denny's and read a sign that they would open at 6:30 pm . So, I returned home and tried to order online, but it would not go through. I went back at 6:37 pm, and the parking lot was packed! I went in to order, was greeted and my order was put in right away. (2 turkey dinners with broccoli, and 2 orders of New York cheesecake) The broccoli was too hard to eat. There was a teeny amount of stuffing under the turkey and gravy. It looked like we were served the dregs of what was left. But the cheesecake was delicious. Another customer thanked them for opening up early. What??? Always come in from 12am-5am. My coworkers and I come here after a night of getting into trouble. The night shift waitresses are all so kind and the food is great. It's a nice 24hr place to just kick back and have a meal with some of my friends. Me and my woman of 6 years had our first date there go once a month. We had the worst breakfast of our lies this morning got it delivered for the first time ever so wasn't expecting the best meal. I cook for a living so I know how to go food gets, I got the country fried steak like always and she got pancakes. The gravy on my country fried steak you could tell was old by a few days salty and gritty our hash browns where undercook and we got the sunny side eggs nothing was seasoned. We barely ate anything lost our appetite after that, so my girl called to talk to a manager and he blames everything on the driver. I'm sorry the driver didn't cook our food your staff did nothing pisses me off more then someone trying to pass the blame instead of trying to fix the issue or a simple sorry instead of saying you don't know you want us to do. We don't get paid to figure that out we our customers and weren't happy one bit.
