I'm so sad about this, but this was not my favorite experience at Leavened. Customer service was great of course but my selections fell short. I got a mushroom and ricotta croissant, which was fine. I forgot the ricotta was supposed to be there because it mostly tasted liked mushroom, but it was good. I also got the cinnamon monkey bread. This was not good. It was seemingly cooked in the paper that it was served in so the top of the bread pieces were crunchy, the middle was softer and then everything else was completely stuck to the paper. I didn't get to eat about 1/3 of what I paid for and I had to work really hard for the other 1/3. Also, the bread had a very spicy taste. It must have been cinnamon and allspice, but it was entirely too much and very overpowering. It truly tasted like a spicy savory bread which is not what I was expecting or wanted. Monkey bread is usually gooey and sweet. This missed the mark, but that's okay. I'll certainly return for another treat soon. Also the bread was looking fire this day.

I think I've tried this place enough to finally declare it an overall disappointment. Today I tried…read morethe hoisin tofu sandwich. The bread was fresh and crusty, there were two small strips of tofu that had maybe been dribbled on by hoisin sauce at some point, some lettuce and jalapeño slices, and carrots. The sandwich was dry as a bone and a really sad empty version of a banh mi. The chocolate rye cookie I bought as a back up was thankfully still deliciously chocolatey and soft as usual. The guy at the register said the bread pudding still has a "cinnamon roll base, so it has orange in it" despite nothing in the sign denoting this awful addition to bread pudding and the fact that cinnamon rolls are not orange rolls. But I digress and I won't fight with a cashier over their poor decisions lol. Also got a cherry chocolate sourdough on impulse. Pray it is soft inside.

It also happens to be an important lyric in the fourth movement of Beethoven 9. In any event, this place lived up to that. The location is off Lake Road and they have interior seating and a beautiful pergola during the warmer months. I sat on the pergola and enjoyed some beautiful background music. I had their salmon avocado toast that was honestly perfect. Normally with this type of toast it doesn't lend well to knife/fork action, but this was an exception! The toast was somehow crunch yet soft enough to be cut. The avocado was nice and salty, and the salmon was flavorful. The cherry tomatoes also added some nice contrast. I was told that the toast might be filling enough, and it could've been, but I had to try a crepe, so I got one! I was just about to go get some water from their water jar inside, but then without missing a beat, the server provided me with a water bottle. The blackberry crepe I ordered was super purple, colorful, and just as fun to eat as it was to look at. Overall, this is a wonderful find in Avon Lake, and it's worth a brunch stop for anyone interested in a quaint lakeside joint!

Despite being alone and ordering a coffee, I was minding my business and trying to enjoy my cup. The owners were disruptive because I moved to the limited window seat. The male owner approached me and asked how long I would be sitting there, despite having a reservation in 30 minutes. He then came back and said they arrived early and asked how long I was staying. His partner, possibly the wife, set a wooden table note with a time at the same time of beginning the conversation. I didn't move because I knew this behavior and lack of service were below even being poor quality. I heard one of them say they would possibly call the police. I don't know about you, but food and beverage quality from lack of poor service is unacceptable. I only made a mistake if I was charged dine-in tax, but I still didn't deserve this treatment. The male owner mocked me for going out to my car, which has no bearing on enjoying coffee or timelines. Word of mouth and reviews are everything to a business, and I read the reviews from prior patrons, which clearly show their unprofessional and uncaring attitude towards the community. I believe these two individuals need training in running a professional cafe. I will not be coming back here, and the coffee shop down the road, Love Coffee Roasters, is much better. The Love Coffee Roasters is a small business that prioritizes hard work, love, and passion. There is outdoor seating but it was chilly out and the vibes inside are cute and Instagram friendly, so we ate inside. There were 4 of us and we each ordered a different drink and a different crepe. I ordered the Hawaiian crepe and an iced matcha latte with oat milk. The other 3 ordered a dirty Chai, a regular Chai, and a brown sugar oat latte for their drinks and the chicken tuscan, Parisian, and the bacon avocado crepes. We were really happy with our delicious crepes but were mixed on our drinks. The crepes are huge and definitely worth the money! I can only speak for mine but I thought my Hawaiian crepe had a generous serving of ham and pineapple inside and the pineapple sauce was chunky and slightly spicy! For the two of us, my bf paid about $45. So the crepes were great but I'd like to mention a few things that bumped this down to just a 4 star experience. The limited time drinks didn't have the prices listed on their special menu. I think that, if they read this review, they should write the prices next to all items they offer. Also, they forgot to charge my bf for his crepe and didn't put in his order so the other 3 of us had our crepes for a few minutes already before he asked where his was. They apologized and whipped his up immediately so he didn't have to wait in line. They still had him pay at the end though. Oh well! And lastly, they ABSOLUTELY need better ventilation here - your clothes will smell like fried food until you get home and wash them! Don't wear something non-washable here haha. Anyway, I'd come here again if I'm in the area for a crepe or two!

Place is decorated well, lots of seating. The cashier/barista was friendly and helpful. They have coffee but it's only a portion of what they do. Most of their menu was going over their food options rather than their drinks. I opted for a toasted marshmallow latte and a cookie warmed up. I got my latte and took some sips. The latte was very light on coffee flavor. Mostly got milk and light sweetness of marshmallow. The cookie was over warmed, became crumbly and was not very flavorful. Price was a little high, but about them same as an average Starbucks order. As a local shop, it meets the requirements of a standard coffee place. It's nothing special, but functional.

I decided to visit on a Friday morning in mid-June 2026. MY ORDER -- The Lemon Blueberry Scone ($3.75) and a breakfast sandwich on an English Muffin ($4.95). Both were absolutely delicious. I can't wait to return to order exactly these 2 items again. I also bought a Pressed juice shot (Multivitamin and Guy Health one) which I drank right at the ordering counter after paying for it. The lemon blueberry scone is made fresh in-house and is a perfect pairing with some tea. The egg and bacon breakfast sandwich on an English muffin (without cheese) was equally delicious. I was expecting just an average breakfast sandwich but this one was really good. I don't know if butter was added on the inside of the English muffin but the combination of the English muffin, crispy bacon, and thick egg was tasty. SERVICE -- wonderful. I was greeted upon walking in. The young high school employee (a new employee) was nice and answered my questions that I had about the cafe menu. Pro Tip: Heated patio available…read more I stopped by at Tutti Frutti Mix after so much social media hype. The place was just ok, nothing amazing. No aspect of it especially impressed me. Just a little laidback eatery. The eatery is located in West Park with street parking (complicated to find parking). This cozy spot blends savory Mediterranean flavors with indulgent dessert options (crepes with various toppings). The entrance is through covered heated patio that has cute flowers hanging from the ceiling. The outdoor area has a lot of tables. Inside has only a few booths, and a lot of Nutella buckets. The latter is fun! I ordered my order to go but peeked inside the boxes before leaving. Gyro Sandwich with fries (extra charge) had a lot of meat, but was very light on the sauce. Fries were too salty and over-fried. It wasn't the best gyro that I experienced. I also ordered pistachio crepe with strawberry and Nutella. The crepe was made to order and you could watch the prep process. I'm pretty sure this crepe was Dubai chocolate inspired but it had very faint pistachio taste which dulled it. It had too much chocolate and was ok. There were also ice cream choices but I didn't try them. I had much better Middle Eastern food in the area. Food order was made quickly though which was a plus. Think of it as Middle Eastern fast food. The place had signs that if you ask for your food to go then dine in, there's a special $4 charge. The place was pretty busy considering it was Saturday a little after 9 PM. The service wasn't too friendly. I had to repeat my order multiple times and the response was - "what?" Just wasn't warm or welcoming. Overall, I'd recommend this place only if you're in the area and coming home from the bars. It's open late, which is clutch if you're craving something sweet and savory after hours.

The first time we came here, my husband and I split the Lotus Crepe and a Belgian waffle with fresh strawberries, Nutella and white chocolate with Oreo ice cream. Both desserts were excellent and decadent but we both enjoyed the crepe the best. The next week we came back and again split a Lotus crepe with lotus ice cream and a fudge cake crepe.
