Went in Saturday at 11:15 am. Waited only 5 minutes due to others ahead of me. I sat at the counter. 30 seconds later, my server Debby, took my drink order. I knew what I wanted so she took my food order then as well. 1 minute later, if that, I had my coffee ! Maybe 25 minutes later I had my food in front of me ! Let me just tell you - Debby was -ON IT ! ! I can't remember the last time I had amazing service like I did today. Debby is definitely a great asset to the restaurant. Came here this morning with my husband and we had the best server ever - she was 100% amazing , wish I had gotten her name but she did have purple highlights in her hair I believe - she was the best ! Restaurant was clean and she even wiped down our table before seating us even though it was quite tidy - she took attention to detail ! She also checked on us several times which to me is important. It is hard to describe the comedy of errors we found at this Denny's. The wait for a waiter to even notice we had been seated took about ten minutes. Then, the waiter came over and I noticed an open wound on his hand that was suspiciously ringed in red. No band-aid or anything. It took four tries and two waiters to get the right kind of creamer, and spoons for our coffee. And it's not like they were busy or understaffed. There were only eight or ten tables, and I counted five or so waiters. The coffee was cold, and the mug didn't seem clean. Brunch took forever to get made. We did come in at an odd time, but, again, they weren't busy. We got toast whether we wanted it or not. My omelette was weirdly watery and flavorless. I heard someone complain that their nachos were cold. The hash browns were fairly burnt. Something had a weird sour taste to it that I couldn't place. No one ever asked us how the food was, not while we were eating or while we were checking out. By the point we were paying, I just wanted to get out of there, so I didn't complain. Not a great place. Can't recommend. And it's not that I'm against diners, I eat at places like this all the time. read more

We had a group of 24 kids and adults after a long day at Holiday World. We arrived and could tell they had been busy and when we were asked how many was in our group, Tommyel didn't hesitate to say that she would wait on all of us, while you could tell others didn't want to wait on us particularly. We were seated at several tables close together. She didn't mind that we had other parties in the group to be on the same ticket. She was patient making sure the correct parties had their group on one ticket. She was friendly and never made us feel bad about all coming in. We had two kids spill their drinks and she didn't mind. Quickly got us napkins and refills. The food wait was only about 30-45 mins for everyone to get their food. She provided amazing service with a smile and the food came out hot and fresh. Such a pleasant experience after a long day. Several people tipped her $20 each and she deserved every bit of that and more. read more

Our family of 4 stopped in around 7pm after a full day at Holiday World. We knew there was a chance it would get busy, so we left the park early so we could eat here. What a welcoming oasis! We were greeted quickly by Travis, who seated us in a spacious booth. He was also our server. Travis is a friendly soul and makes you feel like family. He seemed to have a camaraderie with everyone there. He is very knowledgeable about the menu options and add-ons. I loved the Classic Bennys and my husband's spicy sizzler something or other was delicious. The kids also enjoyed their meals. This location comes alive at night! read more

TERRIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE!! Do not waste your time going here! I ordered an all American grand slam on the Fourth of July and come home to find my bacon and sausage were both burnt. The meal comes with eggs and there were no eggs! They don't give you a decent portion of each food. They're pretty stingy with their food especially the hash browns. I also waited at the counter for 10 mins to get my pick up order. The lady at the counter asked rudely, "can I help you??" I said I'm here for a pick up order. She looked at me like she had no idea what I was talking about. She says, "okay..." after a short pause and walks away talking to her friends. A couple minutes later a very sweet lady came by and asked if I've been helped. She finally gave me my food as soon as I told her I was there for a pick up order. This used to be THE PLACE to be. Now you're lucky if you don't get burnt food or bad service. They're a dumpster fire and I wouldn't be surprised if they go out of business soon. read more

The first night I had the fish and chips and it was really good. We liked Denny's so much we decided to try it again. After we left Holiday World we were all starved and couldn't wait to get to Denny's. This was on a Tuesday night at 7:30. When we got there there was a line of people waiting to be seated. There were a lot of booths and tables opened so we thought that was a little strange. It took them a 1/2 hour to seat us. Then it took another 45 minutes to get our food. That was uncalled for. But when I got my food and tasted it I forgot all about the horrendous wait. I ordered the pot roast and it was so good. It had carrots, mushrooms and way too many mashed potatoes. I don't know if it was just a fluke that the pot roast was so good or not but I will certainly try it at another Denny's if given the chance. We don't have a Denny's where I am from. The waiter was fine, especially since he looked 15, but the A/C was so cold people were having to go to their cars for sweaters and coats-in a June heat wave where outside temps were in the 90's. Frankly, after seeing two local hotels and the one gas station, best to SKIP THIS EXIT altogether! Service left a lot to be desired - our waitress flat-out ignored us after our order was up (but before we received it) to hit on the dude sitting at the counter for what seemed like almost ten minutes, then scoffed at us when we asked if our order was at the window (it was). I worked at this Denny's and the manager Kendall does not know how to take a joke and if you ruffle her feathers she has you fired even if you're a good server and Megan the general manager will sit there and back the manager not get the full story and mark you as a no rehire this Denny's treats their employees like garbage instead of coming to me and saying that was an inappropriate comment they fired me oh and the other day I went to go take a tray of food out and they gave me a moldy English muffin the other night when I was cleaning I found fuzzy mold under the tea containers do not go to the Dennys They do not know how to give proper service half of the servers have attitudes there are some good ones there but they won't be there long because this Denny's is like a succubus It's bad all the way around. Horrible experience. You would expect they could handle large crowds in July being a few short miles from Holiday World. There were probably 20 people waiting to get in we were told a 20 minute wait. After 1 hour and 35 minutes we finally received the food we ordered as soon as we sit down. We took menus to look over so we could order as soon as we sit down. Stopped by here while traveling across the country. The food was okay, as in it's pretty standard fare for Denny's. Our server was nice, but she wasn't very efficient. She offered to refill my coffee once, and it was 3/4 full. Then I finished it toward the end of my meal, after she dropped the check, and she didn't come back.
