We ate dinner here with my daughter's softball team and they were very quick to accommodate ~30 of us on short notice. They have a lot of seating available and a decent size bar. The main items on the menu here are burgers, sandwiches and sushi. I got a teriyaki chicken bowl which tasted good. I was told from other members of our group that the burgers were tasty. read more

Drake's was a casual restaurant and bar with some American favorites and sushi selections. The restaurant was covered in TVs with various programs on, including sports and a great variety of music playing. We were seated immediately, pretty late on a Friday night. Our server was attentive and our drinks were always full. We started with a small order fried pickles with ambrosia ranch and regular ranch. The pickles were delicious and hot. Ambrosia ranch has a strong dill kick. For entrees, we tried the patty melt with tater tots and the build your own chicken tacos. My date said the patty melt was good, but got a little salty at the end. My chicken tacos were delicious! read more

I had lunch with a couple friends today at Drakes. This was my first time. I chose the Chicken Chop Salad - chopped greens, roasted chicken, bacon, cheddar-jack cheese, tomatoes, roasted sunflower seeds, tortilla chips and honey mustard dressing. I opted for the dressing on the side. The salad was huge. I loved how everything was cutup and the flavors all blended together. It was one of the best salads I've had in restaurants. The server was very helpful and attentive even though the place was packed. Even though it was busy, we didn't have to wait long for our meals. However, it's noisy so it's hard to carry on a conversation, but then we were seated near the bar. Next time we go I'll just order the side salad which a friend had ordered and it would have been adequate for lunch. I couldn't finish the regular size. read more

Absolutely love eating at Drake's! The experience has been great. Every time I have eaten there, which is a difficult task in and of itself. I have eaten many different items there and they have all been great. But I absolutely love their club sandwich! I have a hard time, not ordering it every time I go there! read more

It was about 11:30P on a Friday, and I wanted sushi. Honestly, I did a search for sushi just to see what would happen and Drake's showed up as open. Double checked and they were still taking orders. Placed and online order and didn't think it was going to happen, that I would show up and it would be closed. However, they weren't, and the food was indeed excellent. The presentation was very nice, and they included everything I needed. It was just a poke bowl because I didn't want to poke the sushi overlords, and really wish I would have thrown in a roll. The menu looks extensive and, as I sit here in my hotel room eating, I'm already thinking about what to get for dinner tomorrow night. The very lovely lady who brought my food out was super nice, with a big smile on her face. I love that they do curbside!! I just worked a 18 hour day and I don't want to walk. Delicious sushi at midnight in Southern Indiana, what a time to be alive! read more

It was an oddly eclectic menu with a lack of direction and a subsequent lack of focus. This lack thereof meant that food was subpar. The sushi was dry, incoherent, and lacked presentation. The pubgrub was greasy and under seasoned. Overall - I took this on a recommendation, but neither would I return of my own volition nor would I trust this individual's recommendation again! I will say that the service was great and I really did enjoy the vibe there, so perhaps for a beer I'd venture back. read more

We are passing through Indiana headed to Louisville, KY and took a detour into Evansville for dinner. We stopped at Drake's. It was Friday evening and the weather was fantastic. The parking lot was packed but we got in and got a table on the partially enclosed patio. Our server was prompt and very nice. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and my wife ordered the buffalo chicken sliders. The restaurant was kind of an industrial/garage design and was nice. Our food came out in a timely manner. That's where things went south. The burger a covered in cold fries. Not like warm, cold fries. At first I was impressed with the size of the burger until I realized it was deceiving. The "patty " was not whole and was just bits and pieces of a patty that was falling off the bun in every direction. It, too, was cold. The burger was dry and cold. There were about 3 slices of mushrooms on the mushroom and Swiss burger. My wife compared the buffalo chicken sliders to Arby's . Her fries were cold as well. How can food be this cold when they are that busy? We had no napkins or utensils and our server never refilled our drinks. I know she was busy, but no one checks on us u til long after we were done. I think. The next time I find myself in Evansville, I will opt for one of the other many restaurants. read more

It was my first time at Drakes and I was really surprised at home much I enjoyed it. We stopped by for a later meal - around 9 pm - and the restaurant was still packed! Service was a little slow but it was a busy night and we weren't in any hurry. When we finally placed our orders the food came out quickly. I ordered the crab Rangoon roll and the tuna poke bowl, both were fantastic. The crab Rangoon roll was deep fried with crab and cream cheese inside. It was also covered in a sticky sweet sauce which was delicious. Very filling! I also ordered the tuna poke bowl. It's a little on the smaller size but filled with pickled, avocado, carrot and more. Only weird thing was the very large sliced jalapeños which were not spicy at all. I added some hot sriracha sauce and it was divine. I'd highly suggest the sushi menu there! read more

Really enjoyed the experience. The service and food at all the Drake locations is excellent!!

The crab rangoon sushi roll is always a hit. They usually have good mixed drinks and always changing them up.

get regular barbecue sauce because the barbecue sauce you have taste like ass! No one wants that nasty shit.

Came for dinner with work colleagues and everyone really enjoyed the atmosphere and food! We started with a crab Rangoon roll and then ordered a second while we waited for our entres. We had sushi, salmon, patty melt and american mini burgers. If you get the sweet potato fries ask for Carmel sauce! No joke, amazing! read more

I've been coming to this restaurant since they opened. And while for the most part I absolutely love them, the last few times we have visited they have either been out of soda or food was not cooked thoroughly. Highly recommend the BLT tots, Cheeseburger sliders in any of their sushi. They do not have call ahead seating or an app where you can be placed on the waitlist. But I don't think we have ever waited longer than 30 minutes to be seated My husband and I also think their stools are very uncomfortable and some of the round tables are very very small read more

I I had the bacon lettuce and tomato salad in there and one of my friends had chili. Both plates were really good. I forgot about telling the waitress that it was a split the cost of our dinners so she handed him the bill automatically assuming he was paying the biWell. Luckily I caught it in time and told him. I was paying the bill. I went to the bathroom and when I came out he had already paid the bill. So then I got really mad. And Brown embarrassed both of us. read more

...I don't live in EVV, so I don't know how long this place has been in business, but the service is ATROCIOUS. The server was sweet, but totally inept. As for the food, OMG ~ other than the tater tots, nothing was appetizing. The sushi was big Hunks of stuff, in short, faux sushi. The fish in the fish and chips was over cooked and the worst was the burger. It was DRY, had a weird taste and nearly made us gag. NOT a fan. read more

Great night out with family at Drake's. They made sure to accommodate our seating for my wife that currently has broke foot. We never requested special seating, but they took care of us as soon as we walked in the door. The drinks and food are reasonably priced and really tasty!! My Atlantic Salmon was perfectly cooked and the seasoning made my taste buds pop with the flavor. The Filet and sushi was really good as well. Really good variety of drinks too! Our server Grace was the BEST!! She was a sweetheart and made sure our first visit here was the best she could make it! THANK YOU! read more

I like the variety of choices on the menu. The food is served promptly and it's always hot.

While traveling through, I stopped for a quick bit. I didn't know where to go but ended up at Drakes because it appeared to be a nice and clean restaurant. The atmosphere was very good, the service was outstanding, but the Smash burger was terrible. I had chili and a burger. The Chile was very good, not great, but very good. The burger had good taste but was filled with gristle and I had to spit out something about very three bites. It's possible they got a bad batch of meat and I hit the wrong day, but this was disgusting. I hope this is not the norm. read more

I've been here a couple times but just never thought about doing a review but at this visit I had some really outstanding service so felt like a review was in order. This is a fairly new establishment in Evansville but obviously very well loved based on how full the parking lot and restaurant was when I got there. They have table seatings, booth seating as well as seating at the bar. They have a nice fireplace and multiple televisions placed thruout with different sporting events playing on each. The ambiance is casual and depending on how full it is it can be pretty loud. It was packed when I was there so it was definitely loud! The menu is packed full of lots of options. Smash burgers of all kinds, sandwiches, tacos, steaks, sushi... They have several different beers on tap as well as a full bar menu. I had the Turkey Swiss and avocado grill sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries and it was delicious. The sandwich was loaded with smoked Turkey and the guac on it is made in house along with the remoulade sauce, fantastic combo. Their servings are huge so I had plenty to take home for lunch the next day and it was equally as delicious after I popped it in my air fryer. My group also got the fried dill pickles and they are outstanding. Very nice sized pickles with just the right amount of breading and the dip they serve with them is amazing. It tastes like it has a tad bit of horseradish in it. Definitely a great place to check out if you are really hungry! Now on to the service which is the main reason for the review. Our servers name was Cody I believe. He was outstanding. It was obvious they had a pretty busy time right before we arrived but he was very quick with taking our orders and he brought fresh drinks out before we needed them. I like not having to ask for refills! He did a really great job and we appreciated his attentiveness. read more

We decided to try Drake's last night and the parking lot was mostly full on a Wednesday, but we were seated right away. Both of us got burger meals. I had the Patty Melt because Grant, our waiter, suggested it. It was great! My husband got the slider sized burgers and he was impressed. Our appetizer, the pretzels with beer cheese and hot mustard was really great. Love that they had the Quaff brewery choices too! Here is a photo of the Patty Melt. We will be back! read more

The sign said seat ourselves. We stood for a few moments, not greeted, then walked and found an open table. After we walked, the couple behind us was greeted by a server and told they could sit anywhere. We waited 8 minutes, watched 7 employees come by, 4 behind us doing nothing. We did get a smile from an employee and she kept moving. Nothing in 8 minutes. They weren't overly busy. When the lady that at least acknowledged us with a smile saw us get up and leave, there was still not an apology, your server will be right over, nothing. I've been to Drakes several times, but after this experience, it's highly likely my husband and I won't return. We left and went to Bubba's. read more

Love the loaded tater tots and the sushi rolls are very good. Get atmosphere and the wait staff is friendly. We will be back.

This place spits in the face of Veterans. Decided to take my wife here for Valentine's day sat down ordered drinks just for the manager to come to the table and tell me I am not allowed to drink but charge me and my wife for the drinks we ordered. Noted the management all they tried to do was give me free soda. Don't eat here. I REPEAT DO NOT EAT HERE. THEY ARE SCAMMERS WHO TAKE YOUR MONEY. If I knew how to give them 0 stars I would. I am honestly disgusted and hurt by this establishments treatment towards veterans WOULD LOVE TO TALK TO THE ACTUAL OWNER OF THE ESTABLISHMENT. I WAS ONLY TREATED THIS WAY AFTER SHOWING MY RETIREMENT ID TO YOUR "MANAGER" AT WORK AT THAT MOMENT. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

Nice sports bar. Plenty of TVs, first time I went bartender was great. Always came to check on me and did a good job. Next time brought a friend and was extremely disappointed in the service. Mid afternoon and wasn't too busy, but both bartenders acted like it was an inconvenience that we were at the bar. Could hardly get anything from them had to wait to get silverware after our food came out. Must have walked by us a dozen times before they asked what we needed with an attitude.
