We stayed on the east side of Evansville this weekend for our son's hockey tournament and always eat at local joints when out of town. This place did not disappoint! Curb appeal for the place isn't the best but the food is great. I got the sweet heat smash burger and it was AMAZING. Our son got the slider app as his meal (plain and cheese on the side because he doesn't like melted cheese) well done patties and they came out exactly like we wanted. Spouse got the Cesar blackened chicken salad and loved it. I sampled the dressing and it was killer! The pretzel bread stick that come with salads was also really good. Prices are great. Beer and spirits options were amazing. And let's talk about the service. If the people who run this place are reading this, Brandon gets a 6/5 star review. Staying in town on my way to work, I decided to see what was available. This was a great surprise! While it looks like a strip mall esque chain, it's local and is very inviting once you arrive. Couple that with being ULTRA clean and you have a great first impression. The staff were very pleasant, helpful, and quick. I sat at the bar and the service was extraordinary. As for the prime rib; ABSOLUTELY amazing. Perfectly cooked to my specifications, complimented by a baked potato with basic accoutrements at my request, this was the perfect meal! One thing is that they list cash discounts on the menu instead of the actual price before the discount. Not sure this is even legal but doesn't matter. We were looking for a nice place to have dinner and drinks before a football game and Prime Time did not disappoint. My husband was able to watch the Hoosiers on multiple TV's... as well as other sports networks. Of course I was excited that they had Michelob Ultra on tap and it was perfectly chilled. My husband ordered the old fashion and was pleased with the taste. We were especially excited that they served us pub chips while we waited. Our food was served quickly and our first bite was the French onion soup. It was good, but the taste was a little different. When we arrived we were seated immediately. It was 1pm on Saturday. A bowl of complimentary homemade chips were served. They were cold and overcooked. Some were almost burned. We ordered onion straws as an appetizer. They were limp and left a greasy taste in our mouths. Served with a smoky Ranch dip that did not work for me. My wife and i ordered the Prime Dip sandwich. I added peppers and onions to mine. My wife did not. The large bun was split in half with thin sliced beef piled over the bun with melted cheese and onion straws heaped on top. It was so much there was no way to fold it to dip it in the au jus. After she started eating her sandwich, she found hers had been made with peppers and onions too. She just pulled them out because she didn't want to wait for a new sandwich to be made. Service was okay but only around four or five tables had customers. When our server came to ask if our food was okay, my wife hadn't found the onions and peppers yet and our server never returned to see if we needed anything. The restaurant was nice. My kids took me to prime time Newburgh June 14 for Father's day. Our took our orders and came around a second time to make sure he had everything right. 5 of the six of us ordered salads and asked they be served before our entree's. I ordered a 12 ounce ribeye medium rare and a baked potato. Our entree's came out followed by our salads. It isn't very often I say the salad was the better part of my meal. But it was. My baked potato could have passed for one fixed the day before. My steak was closer to well done than medium rare. I should have sent it back but didn't want to be there all night. My wife and I were cordially invited out for an honorary evening and while we were in the Newburgh area we decided that we would go out to eat afterwards. We decided upon this place after a little debate on trying something new and eating Indian food. As you can tell I lost the debate and we settled for a truly American style restaurant. I have never been here before and was thoroughly pleased with my wife's selection. We entered the restaurant and only stood there maybe two minutes before being seated. The booth was nice and the ambiance was great for an evening meal for two. The table was sticky though. From what I gathered it was the paint and would be willing to bet that every table was sticky. We were served water without asking for it and also some house made chips were brought in a moderately sized bowl. I was the first to try the chips and the water. I later gleaned my wife's take on them both. The water was absolutely tap water. No filter. The chlorine after taste was superb. The chips were certainly very crunchy but felt almost stale, albeit they did have a good flavor and I was hungry and ate most of the bowl assuming the texture was supposed to be as it was. We were also offered more water before our chlorinated pitcher was empty so I was obliged to say of course. Then our waiter came by and took our order. She didn't come back but to deliver the bill and receive payment. Our food was delivered accurately and seemingly promptly. The food was wonderful. I had the prime burger. I mainly chose this because the menu wishes you luck in the description? My wife ordered the prime dip with onions and peppers, for a little extra $$. It was served with a Au jus sauce and some horseradish sauce. The prime burger was great. When I ordered it I was asked "Red or no red" . I said no red. The burger had the patty, bacon, and bbq on it and it was really good. The fries were good too! Especially dipped in the horseradish sauce. I tried the prime dip as well. It was really good too. Not going to lie I felt a little out of place based off my skin complexion and not knowing exactly where I was at first. When I went in to eat, my waitress was super sweet and actually funny. I was treated great and friendly and was checked on by multiple people. The beyond burger with mushrooms and onions was "Bussin Bussin" I wanted to stop there again. 10/10 for me the homemade chips weren't bad at all. I'd given them an 8/10 and the tots were great too. However, the ribeye was very bland, and overcooked, which thankfully I ordered rare, because it was medium rare, with only a slightly red center. My GF ordered the blackened salmon, with the bourbon glaze, which was hard and dry, blatantly overcooked. Not sure how that made it out of the kitchen. The mashed potatoes were... horrible. Walked in at 5pm and were greeted and seated right away. Food: complimentary for each table is water and homemade pub chips. Not a bad way to start off while looking over them menu. But not an option for the low-carb, Keto people. Overall it's not good. In fact it's the reason I don't think this will be repeated again. We ordered the prime rib, broccoli and Caesar salad. Also the sea bass, seasonal veggies (zucchini, squash and onion) and Caesar salad. Our waitress took our order and returned to tell us they weren't serving salads and were out of lettuce. The other options for sides were all carbs or applesauce. (Seeing a trend yet with the menu?!) Our meals were brought out in 17 min!!! While most of the time you want fast service- how quick did they cook that meal? Or was it microwaved? And just as one would suspect the tasting went awful. Broccoli was cold in the center, refrigerator cold. The prime rib was order med well and was cold in the center. (That would not be med well!) Sea Bass was decent and warm. All veggies were Lukewarm as well. We overheard our waitress with another table and she brought them salads. Even tho we were told they didn't have any. A manager walked past every table asking how they were doing and surprisingly one never stopped by our table. Our waitress never bothered to ask how everything was either. The hostess ensured our fur babies and both of us got water quickly, as well as house-made chips (yummy, salty goodness!) The bartender, Trey, made a perfect old fashioned for me & sported awesome old fashioned socks and gave our fur babies some love! My husband and I each ordered an 8 ounce filet with side salad, his with fries, mine with broccoli. The steaks were seasoned perfectly! Yum! A few fake plants are scattered about, and someone stenciled the name of the pub on the wall here and there, but otherwise it was pretty spartan and gave off a bare bones vibe (e.g., this is one of those restaurants where the condiments and seasonings are so precious, they have to be hidden in the back out of reach, lest a customer get too carried away). Although the service was prompt and the fries were seasoned really well, we left feeling we had paid an arm and a leg for slightly-better-than-standard American bar food. We got wings as appetizers but they didn't come till after the food because they were frying chicken for a catering gig. They should have a better set up for that, if it was any busier, that would have been a huge issue, especially since they were driving the carts through the dinging area and out the front door to get to their other location.
