    Dinner garlic bread

Mom and I came in around 11PM after craving anything other than fast food. Staff was friendly and attentive, but not my favorite Dennys location. The restaurant was recently built after the old location was remodeled, so it's a bit smaller now. The steak and eggs were...worrying. We ordered medium rare, and we got something closer to rare. Honestly the eggs were my favorite part of the meal. I was still hungry so I also got a side of seasoned fries. The dinner garlic bread is also super good. The fries were freshly fried, but unfortunately even the prices here are too high. Dennys is a solid place in a pinch, but also only when you have nothing else to grab in the area.

Hubby's choice for dining when I give him the chance to pick. And although I much prefer supporting small, family-owned restaurants, I try to enjoy it anyway. Haha To my surprise, this place can get crowded on Saturday mornings. They need extra workers. Standard American food, as we all know. Quality is okay, not the best. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and a side of mozzerella sticks. Food is just okay. I didn't think my chicken sandwich was very tasty at all. Hubby loves their breakfasts, can't go wrong with breakfast. Lynn has served us several times. She's a hard worker that serves with a smile. We do appreciate her.

Great 24 hour spot to eat. Food came out really fast and was delicious. The waitress is really nice and takes care of you. The menu has new things in it. The bourbon burger was huge and so delicious. Fries are always good here along with the ranch dressing and milkshakes. The only thing that gave me a huge shock factor was some of the new pricing. I know inflation happened. It is not as affordable to treat yourself out as much as before. See menu for Dec 2023.

Super personable, great energy, and made the whole experience feel effortless. I ordered the peanut butter and jelly burger--smash-style patty with bacon, peanut butter, jelly, Tabasco, and pickles--and wow... one of the most unique and satisfying burgers I've had in a long time. It hits that perfect balance of savory, sweet, and nostalgic. I asked Paul what he would pair with it, and he absolutely nailed it. He introduced me to "Chimp My Ride" from Solano Brewing Company, a rich stout with chocolate and peanut butter notes that complemented the burger perfectly. It honestly brought back that childhood lunchbox feeling in the best way possible. On top of that, Chef Jamie personally brought out the food and took the time to connect--great conversation, great presence, and you can tell there's real pride behind what they're doing here. The vibe, the style, the food, and the people all come together here. Easy five stars. I'll definitely be back.

Some of the best dining experiences aren't planned, they're discovered…read more With the thermometer climbing to 103 degrees, the Spain vs. France World Cup semifinal kicking off on the big screens, and a craving for an ice-cold craft beer, I wandered into Rustwater Kitchen & Taproom, a downtown Fairfield favorite that's been serving locals since 2017. Within minutes, I knew I'd found exactly where I wanted to spend a hot summer afternoon. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between neighborhood tavern and craft beer destination. Vintage bicycles hang overhead, dozens of rotating taps line the wall, and the energy is lively without ever feeling chaotic. Whether you're catching the match, meeting friends after work, or simply escaping the summer heat, Rustwater has that welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay for another round. Following the bartender's recommendation, I ordered the Chicken Ciabatta from the specials board with a side of crispy tater tots, and it was absolutely the right call. The sandwich arrived beautifully presented on a perfectly toasted ciabatta roll with just the right amount of crunch. Inside was juicy grilled chicken layered with smoky bacon, melted provolone, crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, and a flavorful pesto mayo that brought everything together without overpowering the fresh ingredients. Every bite delivered a wonderful combination of textures and balanced flavors. The tater tots were exactly what great tavern food should be, golden, crisp, and light on the outside with a fluffy interior. They became downright addictive when dipped into a combination of ketchup and a Ghost Hot Sauce that once they are out they are out adding a slow-building kick that complemented the crispy potatoes perfectly. As I enjoyed a cold pint from their outstanding rotating tap list, Spain put the finishing touches on a 2-0 victory over France, sending them to the World Cup Final. Great soccer, an exceptional craft beer, and a fantastic lunch, it doesn't get much better than that on a scorching summer afternoon. Rustwater has earned its reputation over the years, and it's easy to understand why. Friendly service, an outstanding craft beer program, elevated tavern food, and an atmosphere that invites you to linger long after the final whistle. If you're looking for one of downtown Fairfield's best spots to enjoy creative tavern fare, explore an ever-changing lineup of craft beers, and catch the big game, Rustwater Kitchen & Taproom deserves a place on your list. I'll definitely be back to see what's on tap next, and without question, those crispy tater tots will be making another appearance on my table with the ghost hot sauce, if still available, due to the company going out of business.

Our wedding dinner on July 24, 2026 was unfortunately a very disappointing experience…read more I believe staff would benefit from additional training on handling large parties, as well as on communicating with guests in a respectful and professional manner. The waitress spoke to my mother in a condescending way, as if she were a child. There was no reason for her to be treated that way, and it made several of our guests uncomfortable. The waiters took our COMPLETE order in the beginning from drinks to dessert. They forgot drinks everywhere, the way they brought the food out completely disorganized, then they had to ask for our dessert AGAIN after the main course. Another major disappointment was the last-minute change to our seating arrangement. This was never discussed with us beforehand, despite us having reserved this event well in advance. We had carefully planned our seating based on the agreed arrangement, so separating the bride and groom from part of our wedding party was both unexpected and upsetting. I can't imagine any couple wanting to be split from their guests during such an important celebration. While the food itself was delicious, much of it arrived cold. The service throughout the evening was disorganized. The male waiter repeatedly forgot items after being asked, and my father-in-law had to request three separate times to have his bottle of wine uncorked. When it was finally opened, the wine was spilled on the table. What saddens me most is that every single person seated at our tables commented on the waitress's passive-aggressive attitude. It wasn't just one person's impression--it was something noticed by all of our guests. It truly breaks my heart that this was our wedding dinner experience. Not only the money that we spent but Your wedding day is something you look forward to and can never relive. While the food was excellent, the service overshadowed the entire evening and left us with memories that should have been joyful but instead were filled with frustration and disappointment. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously so future couples and guests do not have the same experience we did
