Almost three months later, they said the part had been drop shipped but they still had not received it and they would let us know as soon as they did. We instead contacted Bluffton Appliance Repair. Within 5 minutes the technician discovered that the problem was that one of the electronic boards wasn't plugged in all the way and that no parts were needed. We'll be in touch with the cost of replacing the cooktop". Shocked, I told him I wanted to speak with his employer. Craig spoke to me disrespectfully,not like a customer he wanted to do business with. More like a surly teen talks to his mom. He claimed to have explained this on the phone (news to me) and that this is a completely normal way to do business. Craig said it is what plumbers do. I am in my fifties. I've used many plumbers and other repairmen through the years. But I have never been billed for someone driving 15 minutes and taking a cel phone pic. I have only paid once things were fixed, not for a snapshot. I would rather lose $95 and have a broken cooktop than deal with this sort of business again.
