They informed us the part needed would cost several hundred dollars and it would take approximately a week for them to receive it. Almost three months later, they said the part had been drop shipped but they still had not received it and they would let us know as soon as they did. We instead contacted Bluffton Appliance Repair. Within 5 minutes the technician discovered that the problem was that one of the electronic boards wasn't plugged in all the way and that no parts were needed. Bluffton Appliance Repair saved us several hundred dollars and fixed the problem immediately.

He claimed to have explained this on the phone (news to me) and that this is a completely normal way to do business. Craig said it is what plumbers do. I am in my fifties. I've used many plumbers and other repairmen through the years. But I have never been billed for someone driving 15 minutes and taking a cel phone pic. I have only paid once things were fixed, not for a snapshot. I would rather lose $95 and have a broken cooktop than deal with this sort of business again.

We are very disappointed that 843 Appliance Repair did not take responsibility for their employee or help resolve this situation.

A few weeks later my fridge froze over again. Miguel Tellez came back out and said it wasn't the heater or thermistor. He said it was the control board but offered no solution. They also damaged my fridge with their heat gun. I have wasted over $700 on their diagnosis and my fridge is still broken and now damaged due to them. I would recommend using a different company.
