Yeah, Dennys, I know what your thinking. Mediocre food, equivalent service and simple atmosphere. However my fellow yelpers, NOT the case in this point. I've been to a few denny's in my day and MOST of them are the stereotypical high volume/low quality restaurants that you would expect but this one is a bit deferent. The seating was a bit delayed but it was to be expected on a Sunday, returning church goer afternoon. It IS a smaller dennys. Once seated, I was greeted by a friendly, prompt waitress that seemed, and delivered, care and appreciation. The food was well cooked and presented in the speed you come to expect from a five star establishment. Clean restrooms, clean restaurant, except for the floors in the dining area but that's thank to messy kids and adults. No upkeep cleaning was done near my or anyone else's, table during our meal. Good stuff from what we come to know as a mediocre franchise. Better staff, cleanliness and food quality than some more qualified restaurants. BIG thumbs up. went through the drive through today the car in front of us was ordering and then the person taking the order stopped talking. so the people just said "hello" the person taking the order then rudely replies and raises there voice at the costumer saying. they're training and they need to wait. When we get to the window to get our food and they open the little doors we over hear them standing and gossiping with the window wind open mind you about customers. overall they were very rude and I was not impressed at all. +Cobb Salad was extremely subpar. More of a garden salad filling one third of the bowl. Many brown lettuce stems. None of the standard fixings of the cobb were present. Order with the prime rib add-on. 4-5 scraps of meat were included. +Ordered strawberry pancake pups. Came out looking burnt but flavor was okay. + Ran out of onion rings! + Server was very new. No interaction with customers. Did not explain issues (only one serving of onion rings). Ask three times for a iced tea refill. On the upside the restaurant was clean and tidy. read more

Sat down at our booth. I'm a big guy and barely fit the booth. Not to mention it was very sticky. I felt physically uncomfortable the whole meal. My drink had food particles floating in it. I would avoid getting dark colored drinks just so can see what you're drinking. They mentioned they use a dishwasher. That's an absolute no no. Dishes at restaurants should be hand washed! If you're looking for a good place to eat some classic diner food... then don't go here... Burger patty was bland. Only thing that gave it some flavor was the grease itself. Fries tasted like regular old frozen fries you'd get at the store. The burger was HUGE and LOOKED great. It's a shame. If the burger had more seasoning it would Of been a good exceptional burger. My Girlfriends breakfast food was awful. Mushy undercooked pancakes, rubbery eggs, cold/still frozen hash browns, cold rubbery sausage links, biscuits and gravy had a strong metallic taste. What a stain on the Denny's reputation! Greasy omelettes with slimy ingredients and overly salted. Well done hash browns are barely cooked. And please don't look for buttered toast, it is only a smear of butter in the middle. Other Denny locations have been very good, so we thought this would be a nice start to our day. Boy! Were we wrong. Not sure how they can call a fried egg on an english muffin with a cheesy "hollandaise" sauce eggs benedict. My suggestion is to go elsewhere. read more

This Denny's is a total disappointment . I have been there 4 times early morning before a flight out of ATW. For lunch and breakfast. Every time they are under staffed, out of the food they have on special. Dirty tables, it feels like a bad truck stop. They apparently have a POOR manager! Horrible Denny's! Never been to a worse Denny's! Food was cold. When our hamburger was falling apart and taken back to be remade it came back less then a minute later and was in the exact same condition. Our chicken tender sandwich was so cold the cheese didn't even begin to melt. We didn't even bother sending it back after the experience with the hamburger. Every time we come to this Denny's the experience with the food is the same. . . TERRIBLE!!! They clearly need new kitchen staff. The dining area is always a disaster. I never see anyone cleaning. I know Dennys is cheap sit down food. But really. Ok so I was finishing my burger and there was a long woman's black hair in my food about 12in long, not from my wife. As my wife has short hair. Ordered the bacon avocado burger and got no discount for them being out of avocado. Refill for drinks wasn't very fast. One napkin for messy burger. You guys can honestly do better. read more

I wish I could give it 0 stars. My family was served foreign "material" with our meal. I took the plate to the back myself - because our server was paying no attention to us - and asked for a manager. The staff member who took the plate offered no apology, just asked if we wanted a replacement - NO. I politely informed him we would be leaving as I did not feel we needed to pay for any of the disgusting food they served us. They watched us leave, did not say ANYTHING, and then decided to get law enforcement involved. I will also be getting the health department involved. read more

This place is so inconsistent. Makes huge differences who is in the kitchen. Sausages with your eggs are always cold. They are the precooked type. I truly believe they take them out of the box and put them on your plate if they are in a hurry. If that's not the case, then they need to figure that problem out. The other problem they have is toast that isn't toasted, kinda like getting warmed white bread with a glob of grease in center. Can't wait for toaster to brown the bread. Just get it out, fast. The hash browns are not consistent as well. Sometimes over cooked to brown and stiff, next time white barely browned. Consistency is terrible! read more

I've never been disappointed by Denny's until coming to this one on College Ave. This review was made after two separate visits, both equally bad, but especially the second time which warranted this review. I should have taken a picture of my Grand Slam because I'd like to show how pathetic it was. My bacon was the equivalent of a thin one inch piece of bark. Completely dried out. Food was cold on arrival and bland. Normally I would have sent it back, but I was in a hurry and couldn't wait for it to be re-made. Love free Grand Slam on your birthday. This wasn't my birthday but birthday boy loved his breakfast (eggs over easy, bacon, hash browns, toast) with the exception of the hash browns. He asked for them to be nice and crispy and they over crisped them-so crunchy were hard to eat. There were 5 of us and waitress said sure to all the little tweaks we wanted to our orders. I ordered the thing I always order. Super Bird with crispy bacon and a side of ranch. Told immediately that ranch will be $.59. Husband ordered 2 sauces and didn't get a charge. I joked that my ranch better arrive in a bowl for $.59... and it did. ‍. Not sure if they dropped half the fries on the ground or if they made half an order to make room for the bowl of ranch. This restaurant is the kind that would put things in your food. I am visiting from out of town for a business meeting. It is unlucky for me that the Packers and Vikings are playing this week. I arrived late in the evening and was tired and hungry. the meal came slowly and was not particularly good. Poor service. I ordered 2 items off the menu for pick up, strawberry pancake puppies and caramel apple crisp. Arrived a few minutes after my pick up time just to be told that my order wasn'tk ready yet but neither of the staff members at the front went to go check if they even had a take out order. About 10 minutes later they asked me what I had ordered because they hadn't received an order though I received a confirmation email. They acted like I was wrong for waiting for my food I ordered. 15 minutes of additional waiting and I received my food with no apology or anything for the extra 25 minutes it took from my pick up time. read more

I wanted to love Denny's so much. My husband and I had our first few dates at this location back in the end of 2016. But since then it has absolutely gone down hill. Not only is the food mediocre at best (but i mean, it's a Denny's so what do you honestly expect?) but the atmosphere is horrific. There are tears in seats/benches now. Stains everywhere. And 99% of the employees are so disrespectful. We had a horrific experience a few months ago when the servers had children with them. I had one kid, literally a 5 year old, grab my pancakes and take them back to the kitchen while I was eating them. My server brought them back a few minutes later giggling about how silly kids can be. The same server interrupted herself while standing at our table to scream at her kids for throwing stuff on the floor of the prep area. So I reported the health code violation and reported the incident to Denny's. Since then I calmed down and figured I would give it another shot. HUGE mistake. My server was wonderful and being the only front of house staff taking care of phones, billing, the tables, etc, I was impressed. But our food was barely edible. The machine taking my payment crashed after accepting the charge but never pushed it through to their machine. No big deal, we paid with a different card. BUT the charge did go through on my credit card. I have the receipt as proof I paid with a different card thank goodness because I can dispute with my credit card company. However when I called to discuss if the location could dispute the charge (then my credit card company can take care of it in 3 days), I was hung up on. I was told by another worker (who wouldn't get a manager for me) that they didn't believe me and good luck. Stick to Perkins. Better food, better service, and better business. read more

We were finally seated and then we waited 15 minutes and no one came to take our order. 4 waitresses were in the back and only 2 other tables were customers were. I even stood up and looked right at them and none came over to see what we might want. When we got up to leave the one that was vaccuming said Have a nice evening. Upon arrival our waitress made a point to inform us that we were currently her only table but you would have never guessed it from her lack of service. After we got our food we never saw her again other than eyeballing her from across the room while her and 5 other employees huddled in the corner on their cellphones, completely disregarding us and the other 4 groups at the counter waiting to be seated or pay their bills. The waitress literally set it down and he saw it, she was very nice and apologized profusely. She had new food made, the manager came over, apologized and said she took the meal off our bill. It's a Denny's. You get a large menu with a bunch of different pancakes. Some omelettes and skillets, a cheeseburger if you desire. If you don't know what you get when you go to Denny's, imagine Perkins, just without all the pastries and pies in front. They do have excellent pancakes, and the coffee is good. I have ordered delivery through door dash over 20 times from this restaurant. They have gotten my order WRONG at least 16 times... usually forgetting to send something or sending the wrong thing entirely. Or the shake machine is broken, or they're out of something. Their customer service and district manager encouraged me to give them another chance, and I did, many times. I don't understand why filling an order correctly is such a challenge....
