Bojangles is an NC based fried chicken fast food restaurant offering a "Cajun" style heat and spice to their food. They offer a variety of different sides than KFC along with your classic mac cheese and mashed potatoes. Cajun, to me is an extremely spicy and hot delicacy from Louisiana that is hard to compare with unless you're in Louisiana. Again, this is not true Cajun heat or spice but it does offer a different taste (that's edible) than Popeyes. The chicken (white meat) has a nice crunchy shell along with tender yet spicy meat. This is a great dish by itself, not truly Cajun heat but just dialed down enough to give a hint of Louisiana. Unlike Popeyes attempt, this chicken reminds me more of New Orleans while Popeyes remains a vendor cart outside New York claiming fame rather than being good. The sides were great, if you love mac n cheese along with mashed potatoes then you're good. They don't spice these items to death like Popeyes. Then you have a sweet spicy French fry option that will make your toes twirl. My wife loved the dirty rice and pinto beans combo, they were gone in a matter of seconds.
