I was just visiting in this town for a couple of days. I was leaving Planet Fitness and I looked up in the parking lot and there was a Krystal and a Burger Bros' within 400 ft of each other. So I decided after my workout to put some really fattening high calorie greasy food in my body. I am literally doing a side by side taste test. So this will be the same info on Krystals.The Krystal's cheeseburgers and Fry took about 5 minutes to come out in the Drive-Thru. I didn't go inside because I was on my way home. I ordered two cheeseburgers and a fry. I walked over to Burger Bros and ordered their specialty cheeseburger with onion rings. Now if you know anything about me I love freshly battered onion rings never Frozen! They said they have hand beer battered onion rings! I also have two different choices for packets of ketchup. Krystal's uses Heinz and Burger Bros uses some generic name called 'Red Gold Ketchup'and in small print, 'with a cause.' if we start with Krystal's ketchup tomato flavor good stuff. Burger Bros ketchup was overly smooth and look like it was supposed to be ketchup but didn't taste like ketchup. Bummer. Crystal's burgers were how you say chicken or the egg? Who came first Krystals or White Castles? I was born and raised in Detroit and White Castle burgers are the thing to have after a club night. I think Krystals bread on their burger is trying to hard to be special. I like the fact that they leave some skin on their French fries. But it didn't help the flavor much. Burger Bros regular cheeseburger comes with some special sauce, tomato and lettuce. I didn't want to add a subtract anything so I got it just the way they want to give it to me. Even though Burger Bros took longer to cook I wasted my time. The highlight was talking to the young man behind the counter it was very helpful and pleasant. He said he was the son of the owner. More power to people of color owning businesses. But I digress, I enjoyed the onion rings with Krystal's Heinz ketchup. Good thing I had some leftover Texas Roadhouse dipping sauce from the night before. Everything tastes good with that stuff! I went inside Burger Bros because they had no drive-thru nobody was there very small seating area. Oh yeah remember this is all around 8:00 p.m. tonight. Yeah I know I just worked out for nothing. So same review on Burger Bros . The only thing that was harmed in the making of this review was my colon. read more

Our first time here & we're having the double cheeseburger, onion rings, and strawberry shake. And it all tastes better with a discount for paying with cash! Everything was very good. The burger got messy, but that's a bonus in my book. The onion rings were cooked perfectly & the strawberry shake was yummy. Can't say that I'd change much about this place. We were an hour + after the lunch hour rush, so the wait for our food was fairly short. We did not try the Cali or Bros fries, maybe next time. We'll be back! read more

I have lived in Columbia for almost a year now and I've seen people post about this place a couple of times in a group page. I have had a hectic crazy week and did a curbside pickup (2 actually) and didn't feel like coming back to cooking even though I had taken something out of the freezer to cook for dinner. I came here not knowing if they had a drive thru (they don't) and it was starting to storm, but I found a close parking spot and went inside. I have been craving a philly cheesesteak sandwich so that is what I ordered and I upgraded to onion rings. It was on sale for $7.99 and included a drink. It didn't take long to cook, there was about 3 people seated at the small inside area waiting on their food. The person at the counter was very kind, and helpful when I told him it was my first time there. From the areas I could see it was clean. They have a pretty good size outdoor seating area with a window to order too! I opted for carry out, came home and boy it was really good. Not the best, but tasted different and was just what I needed at the time. They had the correct way to make philly cheesesteak after living up in NJ/NYC for over 20 yrs. Provolone, steak, onions, peppers and mushrooms with mayo! Hit the spot! Everything tasted fresh to me and you can't beat the price! I will def be back! Thank you Burger Bros! read more

First of all the wait was too long and as a long as we waited you would think the fries would be delicious...burnt and salty...the burgers were ok kinda put me in the mind of Wendy's burger and for the price you pay the burgers could be a lil bigger along with the cup size for your drink...needless to say I won't be back read more

No thank you. Due to the price I was expecting a juicy decent sized burger patty. It's hardly bigger than McDonald's. The best thing was the fries and amount of them. The milkshake was obviously from a shake machine, you know the quality not really that good. The worst thing was the guy at the counter gathered up the floor mats, took them outside and shook them off. Came right back in and didn't wash his hands ( there's a sink right by the counter) instead grabbed a rag and went out and wiped the table tops. That's why I cringe every time someone grabs my drink cup by the rim. Sorry won't be back. read more

I really enjoy this place and I've been there several times, but there are a few key issues that are starting to annoy me. First I like a double burger with no cheese and they do not have that as an option. You have to pay for the cheeseburger, even though you do not want cheese, which most restaurants adjust for a plain burger. Just look at the single burgers on the menu and they are different prices with or without cheese. Secondly, they have raised prices three times in the short time they've been open. Yes I eat here often, and I have tracked it to extent that they are now charging a higher amount for the combos that is even listed on their digital menu. Between these mystery prices, the 3.5% credit card fee, and their request for a tip, we are now approaching sit down restaurant prices. Lastly, the biggest issue of all is consistency, and the lack there of. I am getting orders, incorrectly made, undercooked french fries, and fries that are so heavily seasoned or no seasoning whatsoever that it's driving me crazy. Please Burger Bros, don't ruin a great thing. Offer a double burger combo without cheese for a lower price, adjust your prices to match what you charge, be consistent most of all.. and frankly, any further increases in prices is really gonna make it difficult to justify the expense. read more

Went there today was hoping to have something enjoyable unfortunately I ended up getting the Philly steak sandwich. They need to take that off there menu. They're not very good at making this I will go back and try a hamburgers sometime I saw somebody else get one of those and they look pretty good. And also as for their menu, I have no idea what they're doing. The price on the menu says one thing then you get the receipt and it says something different. You get a cash discount of 3% why because I saw somebody else saying that they were charged extra fees for using a credit card they just need to go back and charge. What's on the menu and put a sign at the register that they charge Three or 4% whatever it is they charge credit cards and stop all this stuff because it's very confusing. I mean my Philly steak sandwich was more than what it said on the menu however, my onion rings and my strawberry shake was like really a lot lower than what it said so I'm not sure what they're doing but people Want their receipt to reflect the prices on their menu so do yourself a favor and change it so it does so people won't be so confused thank you.
