Very basic patty on the burger and the onions rings were just okay. Tried it and it was my first and last time. Guy behind the counter was nice though and the food kept me from starving.

Burger was great. Service was good but a little on the slower side. Overall I will be back for sure.

This time I asked the owner for recommendations. He was very friendly, asked me some questions…read moreand gave me some guidance. I had the werewolf with a side of collards. So good! Everybody I know loves their Granny's collards best, but I swear that these are truly outstanding. The werewolf was great, I really liked the slaw/collard/mayo synergy, with a generous amount of roast beef. Service was great today, so I am assuming my previous visit was the exception. Every time I pass through (or near to) Columbia, I shall be back.

Ollie and Finn's Counter…read more Tucked away in a little brewery near the Columbia square is this little sandwich shop. I have been recommended this place by multiple people throughout the years and finally got a chance to give it a try. (Well, I say that but mainly because I go to Gold's Deli everytime I'm in Columbia. So it was time to share the love) They have a pretty large menu of various sandwiches, I wish I had grabbed a picture of them. I asked the cashier if she had to pick one sandwich which one would it be, she gave me a list of about 3 that all sounded amazing. The fourth she suggested was if you're overwhelmed or unsure just get the Italian. I LOVE Italian sandwiches so that is what I ended up with. Everything here is fresh so I waited about 5-10 minutes for my sandwich to get made. I will definitely be trying out some of the more adventurous creations next time but this was so good. This Italian has a freshness to it that I have a hard time describing but their olive oil blend is lovely, the olives, banana peppers and lettuce helped with that fresh taste as well I'm sure. The bread is incredible! It taste house baked, crisp outer crust with a pillowy interior. The house chips were also really good and salted perfectly. The inside is cool, it's a microbrewery and there's subtle like alien themes throughout? Overall can't wait to try it out again, stop by if you're ever down in Columbia!

Hubby got the biscuit with the sweet jam, very yummy. I got the smoothed salmon, I liked the dill sauce, but it slightly overpowered the other flavors. But, still delicious and a good portion. I'd love to come back and try a breakfast boozy drink in the weekend. I can't wait to come back again!

Connected conveniently to the entrance of The Factory; The August Sage Cafe sets the brunch bar high in Columbia. * The decor is modern, laid back, and inviting. * The staff was very kind, warm and a pleasure to interact with. * My honey cinnamon latte was hot, well crafted, and a nice balance of bitter and sweet. * The breakfast taco was a fantastic blend of flavors and presentation-- definitely was worthy of sharing on socials. I'll be honest, I was so in the moment and enjoying my time that I forgot to snap pics of everything. I guess you will just have to take my word for it and go experience this great find for yourself. Rest assured, you are in for a treat. Add this to your list of local business to support and frequent. It has definitely been added to mine.

He said it was soooooo goooood! There are varieties of jam and jelly to purchase. They also have T85 Organic flour and bread flour for sale as well. The sandwiches are good. They have stiff competition with Gold's (best lunch counter in middle…read moreTennessee, about 100 yards away), Bruno's Italian (other side of Columbia) and Boot Stomping BBQ (same building - top notch). The restaurant itself is in an old industrial building, the CAB, that has been a number of establishments just in the past 4 years. I don't know why most places can't sustain themselves in this location, but my guess is that they are hidden and if you don't know they are there, you'll never find them. The menu is limited to about an about 8 or 9 different sandwiches. The matador is a good, traditional roast beef sandwich. Again, it's not going to knock your socks off, but it's good. Sides come separate. Here's the rub though, the couple of times I've been in, nobody has ever been very friendly. You go into Gold's or the BBQ place, you get a warm welcome and good conversation. Here, it's dark, industrial, and eh, "what do you want for lunch" kind of attitude. I'm not knocking the place. It's a decent lunch, but they need to "wow" their customers so they tell people about it because of its hidden location. I hope they do well, but somehow they need to do better than what's been a revolving door of lunch counters and coffee shops that have populated the Columbia Arts Building. The Pepper Popper Burger was outstanding--juicy smash burger patties topped with spicy cream cheese, bacon, jalapeño poppers, and hot pepper bacon jam. It hit that perfect balance of savory, smoky, sweet, and spicy without any one flavor overpowering the others. The burger was cooked perfectly and loaded with flavor in every bite. The crispy Brussels sprouts were a pleasant surprise and paired really well with the burger. I do wish they had some sort of sauce to dip them in or to pour over. They were certainly good on their own. The pork rinds were fresh, light, and crispy--not greasy at all. They made for a great appetizer and were perfect for sharing. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, the food came out quickly, and everything tasted fresh. Eighth & Main is definitely worth a visit. I'll be back!

The food is definitely made fresh and to order vs. being fast food. The dining room is large with lots of tables and booths. There are a few more near the entrance too. I ordered the Fungus Among Us. It was a double smash burger with Swiss and mushrooms. The burger was tasty and the bun was nice and buttery. The sweet and spicy Brussels sprouts were simple and tasty. My husband had the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich and thought it was pretty good. My daughter had the kid's meal with a corn dog and fries. She enjoyed it. Overall, this is a solid spot if you're in this area and craving a burger.
