An 8 ounce double burger... yummy!!

Yes.... This ole dive of a place is pretty awesome.... You can get like a two pound hamburger here for like twenty bucks!! The service is simple and straightforward.... The ambiance is super Route 66 vibe while not being anywhere near it... I like it... check this joint out for sure!!

A friend of mine and myself celebrated "Galentine's" day on the 14th with a day off of shopping and lunch. We had lunch here, she had seen it on Facebook (she lives in M'boro) and I had seen it a few times b/c I live here now. We decided to have lunch here. It is small, only about 5-6 places to sit inside with tables outside as well (but it was a bit chilly that day) This place was packed from about 12-2! I mean filled to the gillls!! I got the medium sized cheese burger with onion rings and a coke and my friend got the small cheese burger with fries. There are only a few ladies working in there and they were pushing the petal to the metal. It was delicious. I find myself craving this now. It was served to our table (we snagged one) in a plain brown paper bag piping hot. The onion rings were out of this world and so was my cheese burger. Please be patient and kind to them if you go there as they go as fast as humanly possible to keep up with the demand. I am definitely going back soon to get some take out. I wish they had a printed menu to take with you, next time I will take a picture of the one on the counter so I have it for future orders. I loved this place. Oh and the prices, OMGOSH so reasonable. ! thank you Jumbo House, I will be back!

We have dined here for over a year now. Everything is affordable and delicious. This is a go-to place for a good hearty burger in the Columbia area. I love the livers & gizzards, corn nuggets, burgers, fried chicken, and chili dogs. Service is always great. Just be patient with your order. It will 100% take a while to get your food. (15-30 minutes wait) Ps. If you have plans to go somewhere after dining inside, you may need to spray a perfume or Febreze on your clothes. You know what I am talking about? That greasy frying oil smell will stay on your clothes and hair all day.

Great fried burgers...long wait, I am not sure the taste overcompensated for the wait. Better than most fast food though.

Everybody I know loves their Granny's collards best, but I swear that these are truly outstanding. The werewolf was great, I really liked the slaw/collard/mayo synergy, with a generous amount of roast beef. Service was great today, so I am assuming my previous visit was the exception. I have been recommended this place by multiple people throughout the years and finally got a chance to give it a try. (Well, I say that but mainly because I go to Gold's Deli everytime I'm in Columbia. So it was time to share the love) They have a pretty large menu of various sandwiches, I wish I had grabbed a picture of them. I asked the cashier if she had to pick one sandwich which one would it be, she gave me a list of about 3 that all sounded amazing. The fourth she suggested was if you're overwhelmed or unsure just get the Italian. I LOVE Italian sandwiches so that is what I ended up with. Everything here is fresh so I waited about 5-10 minutes for my sandwich to get made. I will definitely be trying out some of the more adventurous creations next time but this was so good. This Italian has a freshness to it that I have a hard time describing but their olive oil blend is lovely, the olives, banana peppers and lettuce helped with that fresh taste as well I'm sure. The bread is incredible! It taste house baked, crisp outer crust with a pillowy interior. The house chips were also really good and salted perfectly. The inside is cool, it's a microbrewery and there's subtle like alien themes throughout? Overall can't wait to try it out again, stop by if you're ever down in Columbia!

When we arrived, we were warmly greeted. Inside is clean with 4 tables for sitting inside to eat. The restaurant is small and cutely decorated. The display cases with meats, cheeses and different salads and condiments looked great. The deli meats for the subs is sliced very thin. We started with lasagna and garlic bread that Dave and I shared. The filling had beef and Italian sausage and it was delicious. The cheese pull was good and not too much. The red sauce was very good. 5/5 We ordered foods to go after eating the lasagna in store. I failed to take a picture of the lasagna. Suffice it to say it was inhaled quickly. We tried the eggplant panini in store too. Everything else was to go. I ordered a Bruno Sub and asked for roasted red peppers to be added. Honestly I couldn't taste the roasted red peppers as there weren't very many added. There was a thin slice of 1 onion ring on the sub so I couldn't taste any onion at all. For me that's a fail as I like to taste ingredients. 4/5 The eggplant panini came with a side of marinara. I have had eggplant panini's before and was anticipating this one. When I saw it, I was very disappointed. There were 2 very thin slices of eggplant inside a sub roll that had been put in a panini press or under bricks to smash the bread down. The only taste was bread. Marinara was good but couldn't rescue the panini. 1/5 We bought 1 arancini and it came with marinara. I heated it up along with the marinara. One bite in and I was sold. I would definitely go back and order arancini again. The meat inside was flavored well and the marinara made everything come together well. 5/5 We ordered a pastrami. For us there was way too much fat and we couldn't remove the fat like we can in a Jewish deli because this meat was sliced paper thin. 3/5 The potato salad was lacking in flavor to me. There was a significant amount of mayo in my opinion. Dave liked it. 3/5 The marinated artichokes were delicious and so were the white bean salad. 5/5 Dave ordered a Super Sub. It had 4 meats plus lettuce, tomato, and cheese. There was a tiny sliver of onion but we couldn't taste it. He loved his sub. 5/5 The two cannoli's were delicious. I favored the vanilla and Dave favored the chocolate. 5/5 We will return as the food was good. If you are missing an Italian Deli taste, please stop by. This place makes everything from scratch. It was worth the trip.

The restaurant itself is in an old industrial building, the CAB, that has been a number of establishments just in the past 4 years. I don't know why most places can't sustain themselves in this location, but my guess is that they are hidden and if you don't know they are there, you'll never find them. The menu is limited to about an about 8 or 9 different sandwiches. The matador is a good, traditional roast beef sandwich. Again, it's not going to knock your socks off, but it's good. Sides come separate. Here's the rub though, the couple of times I've been in, nobody has ever been very friendly. You go into Gold's or the BBQ place, you get a warm welcome and good conversation. Here, it's dark, industrial, and eh, "what do you want for lunch" kind of attitude. I'm not knocking the place. It's a decent lunch, but they need to "wow" their customers so they tell people about it because of its hidden location. I hope they do well, but somehow they need to do better than what's been a revolving door of lunch counters and coffee shops that have populated the Columbia Arts Building.
