At about 2 pm today a technician did arrive and then he said he'd have to go buy supplies--which is weird because why wasn't there shared notes between technicians regarding what was needed for the job--highly inefficient. So the technician left to the store after never actually working on our issue and never came back. We then got a call saying that they'd need to reschedule to Monday or Tuesday because the technician wasn't prepared. This doesn't work for us and we already communicated to the previous technician that Monday/Tuesday didn't work for us because we work full time. And regardless at this point, this business has proved itself to be inefficient and unreliable. I called the business to communicate again that Monday/Tuesday didn't work. I was told that I'd get called by a supervisor and they'd try to get someone out today. That was hours ago and there has been no communication since. Seems like the supervisors must not have a stand up character. The least they could do is call and apologize for the inconvenience. So in summary, Roto-Rooter is unprofessional and unreliable. After turning off the water to the unit, I immediately went upstairs to file an insurance claim with USAA. Being Easter Sunday, I figured it would probably be Monday when the crew would arrive. Surprisingly, they arrived on Sunday roughly an hour after I had filed my claim. The immediately went to work putting dehumidifiers and fans in place and cordoned off the area with tape and plastic liner. The following morning, I awoke to a huge pool of water that had spread to my kitchen. Apparently the water heater, which was full when the water was shut off, had finally given way overnight and had emptied the water through a good part of my downstairs. The first remediation company that responded, inspected our home and set a few fans out and cut some parts of the rug out. They left our home and didn't return for several weeks. During the weeks that went by, i noticed nats and could smell moisture as days progressed. I'm no professional in this business but knew that this wasn't good. I was referred to Rapid Response Remediation (RRR) and decided to give them a call. This team responded out immediately and informed us that moisture levels were high, mold was growing and the situation wasn't good and could be health hazardous potentially. Employee Israel and Cory responded to the scene. These guys are punctual, respectful (addressing everyone by Sir and ma'am), dependable and safe. Most importantly, they were transparent as they explained what they were doing. They got right down to business. They tore out the walls , ceilings , and showed me the mold.
