Totally get that they have a lot going on, but the hoops I jumped through to be told "no" a few months later left me with a terrible experience.

I hired this company for multiple large home improvement projects: a new roof, all new windows, new…read morelighting and to construct an ADU for us. None of the projects went well: they measured and ordered windows wrong and then yelled at me like it was my fault. They ordered the wrong roofing tiles and failed to review to work done at all. When we had problems from them not hooking the HVAX back correctly he was a nightmare to deal with. The owner admitted he knew nothing about roofs and couldn't look to see the problems reported to us by our HVAC person. He promised to pay the HVAC bill and when his roofer came out- he admitted the work wasn't done correctly and sent his own HVAC person out to properly connect everything. None of this would be so bad if the owner wasn't so nasty and defensive every time I talk to him or message him. He still, five months later has not paid our HVAC guy, as promised, did not return any of my phone calls or messages and was full of denial for why he should even pay the bill when questioned by my husband today. He tried to argue that since the roof didn't actually leak from the HVAC, not being connected properly that he shouldn't even have to pay for HIS person coming up to repair the roof that wasn't finished correctly. He has again, for the third or fourth time agreed to pay the bill from our HVAC guy who brought to our attention all of the problems left by his roofer that he and his roofer admitted we're wrong !! I really didn't wanna leave bad feedback for this company, but his behavior and his inability to pay his bills that could leave us with a contractors lien against the house is totally unacceptable . The lighting project did not go well either and on every project we had no call no-show and plenty of attitude whenever we questioned why. they promised repeatedly to stand by their work and included a one year warranty, but I don't feel that we should have to force them to keep to their own agreements and all of the unprofessional behavior, especially the yelling at me is also not acceptable. I would never hire this company again and frankly fear that I will end up having to sue them over other problems with work that they've done since he doesn't like to honor his word . If I discover he does actually pay our HVAC guy the $150 service bill then I will update my review. I feel my score was overly generous. they canceled out of building the ADU- the biggest and most project at all after e a month: we were told 6 weeks to move in and 4 weeks later he called saying that their quote (which was $10k higher than our next quote) didn't have any money for electric connection. Even worse was that on every project it seems they had no idea what they were doing. Case in point on the ADU they wanted me to contact PG&E and find out if they could connect to our electrical box or whether they needed an on street connection? They also asked me, remind you after signing contract to do the project, did I expect them to figure out if it was even possible to do the project? He yelled all of these things at me while he was backing out of the project and then tried to blame it on me being difficult to please at the end he refunded me my deposit and I hired the other contractor who did indeed finish the project for $10,000 less than his quote.

I called and spoke with Jeff from JC Construction. Jeff came to my house and inspected the project and gave me several tips and ideas for completing the project. I was so impressed with Jeff that I asked him about the possibility of adding under-cabinet lighting to the project. Jeff told me he could easily add the lighting but if I wanted it done he would have to run the wiring before the tile work. Later that evening Jeff e-mailed me a written estimate. I was pleasantly surprised to find the quote was very reasonable. In fact his quote for both the lighting and tile work was about the same as others have quoted just for the tile work. I immediately called Jeff and hired him for the job. Jeff and I agreed on a time schedule for the project and I was well on my way to having a completed kitchen remodel. Jeff always arrived at my home on time to start the day. He was always polite and considerate while interacting with me and my wife. He kept the mess to a minimum in my house and always left the work area clean of debris and tools each day. Jeff never hesitated to consult with me or my wife when there were options during the project. Jeff completed the job within the time he quoted and I am extremely happy with the job and level of service that JC construction has performed. The tile job is beautiful and the lighting really showcases our long awaited kitchen remodel.. I would definitely recommend using JC Construction for all your general construction/remodeling needs. I know I will be calling Jeff again in the near future for a bathroom remodel.

After paying them WAY more than I expected to renovate a small room (over $75,000), they sent another invoice for $36,000! Their onsite team had damaged the project so extensively that I had to have an expert from Arizona DRIVE TO STOCKTON EMERGENTLY to fix the damage. I should not have had to pay ANY of that final invoice, but I made a fair offer of $15,000 to settle and instead they hired a lawyer to sue me. I am a 30 year veteran of the US Army and I will not be taken advantage of. The owner didn't even have the decency to call me and discuss this man to man. Stay away from CRC. Bad business. Bad people.

The work being done was in a bedroom and there was a lack of effort in keeping area clean. I had paper laid out to keep existing floor clean and the paper was ripped. There was dings left on the door molding from hoses being used to texture wall. Employees cleaned their paint and plastering tools on our front lawn and side flower bed which left paint and plaster in two areas. There is much room for improvement which is what warranted this review. I reached out to the company to express my concerns and was told that there was nothing they can do to make up for these defects. I went with CRC to patch a wall and patch flooring that had been damaged by a water leak. The representative came in person and visually inspected the area that needed work. He provided a quote which I believed to be fair for the work being done and scheduled an appointment. When the contractor got here he communicated that the wall would be good to go but he had concerns about the flooring since it wasn't the type of flooring that the representative quoted for. Again, representative came in person and saw the wall and the type of flooring we had, nothing to be surprised by here. The contractor made some calls and communicated that he would make it work but would have his flooring specialist come the following week to complete job. I agreed and we moved forward. This should have been a 2 day job according to what was communicated but it turned into a prolonged 3 day job and no flooring repair. The first day they poorly patched the wall and had to come back the next day to do the wall all over again since the job was that poorly done. The flooring specialist came the following week and communicated to the contractor that he did not want to take on the job because it would be too tedious to remove 13 boards instead recommended that I replace the entire bedroom floor. My quote quadrupled in price with their suggestion to replace entire room. They did a fine job on the wall the second time around I decided not to move forward with the flooring because of the miscommunication on their end and the huge quote increase. I was left with a half completed job, dinged up door moldings and paint on my lawn/flower bed.
