They recently handled a large repair and restoration on a home that had a large amount of water damaged. Not only did they bring it fully back, I would say beyond its former beauty. Poor quality and service. They were sent out to my home by Insurance for water damage. Eric was sent as my project manager. Eric came in promising to dry everything out remove what was damaged and fix it all new again. We were excited and looking forward to this being a no hassle issue. This service master came in and unnecessarily ripped out all my flooring (kitchen and laundry room was the only affected areas) cut a hole in my wall and placed a few driers and a dehumidifier. They never removed my cabinet that was severely water damaged and they never moved my furnace to clear out water. Once they removed all the easy issues this service master disappeared and would no longer return calls and when we did get a hold of them we were told by Eric "you got good money from the insurance can't you handle it" and my favorite "I don't want to come out there if it's a waste of my time". If you didn't want to do the job you never should have accepted it from the insurance company. Since they did an extremely poor job drying my home we now have mold growing around the furnace behind the cabinet and God only knows what's under the cabinet. I have filed an official complaint with my insurance company about the fraudulent behavior this company is doing. They just want a fast payday from your insurance and don't care about you or your family's safety. read more

*Do Not Hire this company* Zero stars Service Masters out of Lodi was referred and hired by our Triple A insurance company to demo and build back our master bathroom, kitchen and support beams due to a water leak from the upstairs bathroom caused by a shower pan failure. We are now officially 2 weeks away from our 1 year (yes you read that right) 1 year anniversary of our initial claim. We are still at step 1. Absolutely nothing got done. This company is a complete fraud and they take absolutely no responsibility for anything. In an 8 month period, we went through 3 different Project Managers who each blamed the previous ones for the lack of work/communication/follow through and it seemed each time it got worse. The owner of this company never once reached out to us for resolution. In April of 2021 (9 months from our initial claim) we finally fired them as the contractor they subbed out to do the work quit (again! He was initially removed from the job by service masters then rehired then quit--see the pattern) this was after their workers showed up to our house while we were on vacation (convenient right?!!) and did 4 hours of demo work where they removed the remaining bathroom fixtures (toilet, tub, mirror and sinks) and left them in the middle of our master bedroom. We couldn't even get into our room upon our return from vacation! We had to carry everything downstairs and pay to have it picked up and taken to the dump. (of course this was a line item on their payout-shocking right?!) It is now 2 months post firing and they still have not returned our $1,000 deposit after several calls from us and our insurance. But here is the grand finale: they were paid close to $50,000 by our insurance at the start of the claim! Yes back in 2020!!! Can you believe it! They had to return $40,000 in payout money because they were paid for a job they never did (of course they found $10,000 worth of "work" they supposedly did like dump runs for the bathroom fixtures!!) DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO DO ANY WORK IN YOUR HOME!!! We now are stuck finding another contractor (because of course they are all booked up due to the boom in work which is great for the industry) and everything that service masters "supposedly" wrote out for the scope of the job is wrong (shocking again? See the pattern!!! They are not a build back company) Every GC who has walked the job and looked at the paperwork left by Service Masters has laughed out loud at the scope of work outlined. Beware and do not allow them to do any work. I'm still waiting for the owner to reach out of at the very least return our $1,000 deposit. I know you cut checks on Tues/Wed or at least that is what your payroll dept told us and Triple A. You are free to overnight the check to us. read more

Our AAA insurance arranged for Service Master Advantage to respond to water and mold damage caused by a broken sprinkler shooting water into a window over a period of days, and boy are we glad they did. They responded very quickly, arrived the next day to assess the damage, and started the mitigation the next day to remove the mold after setting up a protective barrier. All the employees we dealt with, from customer service., to inspectors, to those who did the work, were professional and a pleasure to work with over the days of ensuring the moisture and mold were gone. I would give this company a -1,000 stars and thats being generous. This company needs to be shut down and put out of business. Ive submitted a claim with the BBB also. Besides screwing us over and lying to our insurance company while not completing any work in a years time. Communication is non existent all around. Been waiting for my insurance deductible check to be refunded by this company and every time i call i get the run around or no call back. 3 months later i'm still fighting with them to get my check. They were quick to respond to our flood damage...vacuum up the water...but this is where they stop being helpful. Lacking of detail inventory list. The unsafe work site was a problem caused me physical harm. Damage to items that were caused by poor demo. Then the harassment came when they wanted payment, daily phone calls, messages demanding payment, threatening to take us to court and collections and three years after the incident they came up with a new bill for pack in and processed to accuse me of taking the money and of nonpayment of a invoice that was not submitted for payment to the insurance or me. I have been harassed daily for the money. Note if you store anything passed what the insurance will not cover the dates be ready to pay a small fortune to get your thing back. read more

During the recent heavy storm, part of my roof was damaged which caused water damage on the inside ceiling and walls. I have uses service master twice before and they were great and for those times I gave them 5 stars. This time I give then 1 star. They came out a couple days after I called them and 1 guy spent about 5 hours hear cleaning up the damage. Then they brought in drying equiptment. They did not cover the hole in the roof. I emailed, texted and called and it took them three days to get back out to cover the hole in roof. They put a tarp and sandbags on roof. It took less than 1.5 hours to do this. The bill I received from the to put the tarp on was 1767.68 plus and additional $219.72 because they said it was a high roof. Its a two story house. So total to put tarp on is $1987.40. Service master spent less tan 8 hours here total and the bill $3162.11. This in my mind is thievery and I will not pay them that amount, especially the $1987.40. I will also file a complaint with whatever regulatory state department controls them. Do not hire this company unless you want to get ripped off. read more

Service Master Advantage responded promptly to our home flood. That is about the only thing I can say that recommends them. Since using them for flood abatement and storage, we have had nothing but problems. Jackie does not return phone calls, Karen says she called when she didn't, and absolutely NO ONE can do any account reconciliation there effectively. They have hounded, and I mean hounded me to pay an invoice for cleaning carpet in my home following the flood. At the time of the flood, they removed all the carpet from my home, it was all destroyed - so what carpet could they possibly have cleaned??? Although I have spoken to every one there - including the CEO, they still persist in sending additional invoices for this supposed service. And this is after telling me they would remove it several times! This group does not have their act together at all. read more
