We called D Plumber because my dishwasher hose was plugged, my hot water faucet needed to be…read morereplaced, one toilet needed a new ring, and two sink faucets in the master bath needed to be replaced. We purchased the faucets (the two sink faucets and a new hot water tank and faucet. We had the ring for the toilet. George arrived, came in, discussed what we needed, and went to his van to figure out an estimate. Came back with a price of $721.00. Because my husband cannot do this job at his age and condition, he reluctantly agreed to have things fixed. George started on the toilet ring (45 mins), then proceeded to the dishwasher for 35 minutes. He then went to the bathroom, pulled the old faucets out, installed our new ones, and finished the job in 2 hours. He then started under the sink. He said we needed a new tank as well as a faucet. The project was stopped, and we ordered a new tank from Amazon. At that time, we paid him $721.00 via c/c to George. George returned on 9/2/2025 and hooked up the tank to the faucet, which took 30 minutes. He charged us $350.00 for this, which I wrote a check for. We are both in our 80s, and after he left, I told my husband that we had paid D Plumber $1,071.00 for the installation of two faucets, a plugged line in my dishwasher, a new ring on the toilet, and the hookup of a hot water tank to the faucet on my sink. I feel like someone took advantage of us. Now, on their website, they offer a senior discount. I would have asked for it if I had looked them up prior (my husband handled this transaction). But I didn't, and it was not mentioned at the time of the estimate. I had to write this review because I feel businesses like this one take advantage of Seniors. From now on, I'm calling an honest "handyman" available on Yelp. So, if you are a senior, like me, and you are more mindful than I was, don't let your husband handle the repairs without three other estimates. Thank you for reading this review.

About a week later we noticed a puddle around the bottom-what?! Turns out there was a tiny chip in the tank portion-definitely caused by delivery. Valentine came that same day again, and his son was able to adjust the water level to be below the chip, which allowed us to keep using the toilet while we waited for the replacement tank.
