I will start off by saying that i have never written a review, but i created an account to do so. I have gone to this salon for years, and would have never stepped foot back in due to how this place is ran, but one of the nail techs is so good that i have continued to go back. The last time i went i sat there for an 1 hour and 15 mins waiting, they would not call to see if the nail tech was coming back. They were rude, short, and i had to ask more than once if i could just soak my nails off while i waited. after almost an hour and a half of waiting i left. I stopped back by 20 mins later and the tech was there and they told me to come back in 45 mins. Fast Forward to Today... i called to make an appointment and the lady told me in a very rude way that she would not make an appointment for me BECAUSE I WAS RUDE,,, ARE YOU KIDDING ME...I spent 4 hours on a Saturday trying to get my nails done, paid full price, left a great tip, and was very patient and kind. I stopped in today to get an eyebrow wax and was seen right away. It was the first time I'd been in the salon, but I'd always heard good things about it. I assumed I'd be taken to a waxing room as this is what has happened every other time I've ever gotten a brow wax. Instead, I was seated at the first manicure station and told to just slouch down in the chair and lean my head back....a little awkward considering I was wearing a miniskirt. The wax job was quick and relatively painless and the woman did a good job. I was also pleased that it was only $10. Overall it was fine and I'd go back, but I would prefer a little more privacy I think. read more

I love the atmosphere. Its a great location. Even when they are full. There is never a wait time. I couldnt imagine waiting longer than 5 to 10 minutes here. Im always helped right away. I think as far as accomodations. The only thing that could be added is snacks and ipads. Possibly lotion options as well. I mean....Who doesnt want a nice lotion to finalize with after nails are dried and work is finished. The place is not cheap nor is it expensive. I am picky with who and where I get my nails done at. Paul, which I just became accustomed to is probably one of the better manicurists. I had my feet done by another gentleman who did a great job with pedicure. I truly love the front door girl Mickie she is accomodating and pleasant. Only negative thing is the fact that I have gone here and walked out just okay with the work. This isnt a bad thing necessarily being new. I basically had to find a specific person I was satisfied with (trial/error) So my suggestion is to ask for someone good when you want someone good. I used to come here all the time when I lived in Kyle (ever since it first opened). Came back today after having not been in in about a year or so. Whoa Nelly has this place changed for the worse! It was incredibly busy and I felt like herded cattle. The nail tech who did my pedicure was rude and kept looking between my legs (wearing shorts). 5 minute massage for $35 pedicure and leaving out the mask and upgraded lotion and scrub- um, I know the difference. Lady at the front got ugly with me too when I pointed all of this out and raised her voice at me in front of all of the people waiting. Not cool. I get you're busy but you still need to respect the fact that most people want a decent service when they're throwing down for an upgraded pedicure. Won't be back again!! read more

3 days into my shellac manicure my nail bits literally sucked. I spent 2-3 hours here just getting a basic shellac manicure and pedicure. Time Management is not they're best suite. You think as long as they take and as much as you spend, they would actually do a decent job but I've been here enough times to know they do NOT do they're best. The front person is always rude. The older lady with the curly hair sometimes in the front (might be the owner) is super rude. I would not recommend this place. Not the best place. read more

Sometimes good, sometimes not, never great. But, customer service severely lacking -- especially when there is something wrong, like the shellac peeling off your nails within hours of the manicure. For me, the last straw was the posting of two people's names and personal info on the reception desk with the claim that they had "stolen" services and that other businesses should not do business with them. As I sat there waiting, it bothered me more and more. I am a small business owner. Yeah, I get ripped off. Unfortunately, it is part of the cost of doing business. I have to say - I had really BAD luck with nail salons while I was visiting Austin. This one was slightly better, but not much. And, yes, I am picky, but I explained up front exactly what I was picky about and how I wanted my manicure to look. I made an appt the day before for a gel manicure, and was greeted by a very polite man who I spoke with the one the phone. He immediately offered my some water and I was seated with a few minutes. However, once my nail tech began, I could already begin to see her sloppiness as she applied the gel. Basically, the gel was sitting down in my nail beds and getting all over my cuticle. And, this is exactly what I said I was picky about since I am a cuticle biter, and anything stuck to my skin will bug the heck out of me. When I finally took my hands out of the dryer, my manicure was a complete mess. My nails looked better before going in. When I explained to her how unhappy I was, she said it was because I had only asked for gel, not the whole manicure. So, she didn't remove any cuticle or anything and that's why it looked so bad. I was shocked because, first, I didn't realize I had to be so specific and second, I am going to a salon for their expertise. If my cuticles were so awful, I would want her to tell me that I need the whole manicure otherwise they aren't going to look good! I mean, seriously, they are the professional - you tell me what I need to look good! Finally, she put my hands in acetone and started to soak off the first set. At this point, the man (owner?) came over and said he was going to get my another technician who was more experienced with gel. My new nail tech came over, and told me that she would have never applied gel without first removing all my cuticle (well, duh, but I was glad to hear I wasn't crazy that it looked awful). At this point, I literally started crying in the salon. Yes, I cried. I know, ridiculous. I was just so upset that my manicure was now taking hours, and somehow it seemed like it was my fault once again. After I soaked everything off, she proceeded to take off a huge pile worth of cuticle. Now, once we chose a new color, her gel work went off without a hitch. Seriously, she gave me a flawless application that didn't touch one bit of skin. If this was my initial experience, I would have given this place at least 4 stars. Unfortunately, due to a lot of gel still being stuck under my nails and in my nail bed from my first application (the second nail tech simply couldn't get it all off), my manicure simply didn't hold up as well as they normally do (they started peeling in less than a week). But, it did look about a million times better by the time I left. So, moral of the story is, if you go, PLEASE request a nail tech who is very experienced with gel application and be very specific with what you want. My time spent in Austin somehow resulted in my two worst manicure experiences, but don't think I am just a salon hater! It made me appreciate how much I LOVE my nail tech at home (I get gel every two weeks, so am pretty used to it) and I am promptly writing her a glowing review after this :) read more

I have been going to deluxe for years. I have never had a bad visit until today. I have always asked for a design and they have always done amazing. Today I asked for on and it looked like a 5 year old did it. I asked him to take it off. I wasn't please with my pedicure either. It could of been him playing a game on his iPad that he had standing on the back shelf or the game he was ALSO playing on his phone. They did give me $5 off. :/ read more

I have been going to this salon for 6+ months, loyal customer and am finally ready to break up. I had two terrible pedicures with Lisa (I believe this was her name), and just had an awful gel manicure. I had to go back for them to re-do it, and instead of sticking me with someone else, they had him re-do it. It's still extremely thick and clunky and uneven lines. I pay a lot for my services and expect a good job. Ready to give another salon a shot. read more

I went for a color change on my fingers and toes, the lady painted the first coat then told me to put my fingers in front of a fan to help dry. The customer next to me was getting acrylic drilled and the dust flew over on to my wet nails. The lady continued to paint my nails with out even trying to take it off. Then put my feet on an old plastic jug to change my color, and didn't put on a clear coat. read more

I went to the nail salon on the 29th of October 2021. I had one nail break the next day. Then I had another break this morning. I get the dip powder method. I have never had problems with this it. Well, I went in today (a trip that I shouldn't have had to make) and a woman at the front reception desk was there to talk to me. I explained the situation and after my new dip manicure today she wanted me to pay for a new set. She told me that I should have come in immediately after the first nail break and I should have had the original nail person fix the broken nails. She did not explain that to me. when I first came in. Now that I think about it I would have to come by 8 more times for each broken nail. I noticed the cracking under the first set. I was charged $61 for the original manicure and today I was charged $51. Weird. The nail tech today was amazing and I can really tell the difference in quality. I am a long time customer and I have referred many friends to them. I asked her for for a list of the the rules for the salon. They don't have a list. So I paid and I'm very very disappointed with this as well as the cleanliness of the salon. Do not go there. read more

Every time I am here the manager tries to sell me something I don't need. I was going to this location for about 4 months now and after my recent visit I do not think I will be returning. I received a pedicure and sns manicure (which I asked to have started at the same time) they finally did. After my technician was extremely slow. This was my first visit here. I was impressed with the esthetics. Very posh appearance an I was greeted immediately. This made it worth the wait. It was good to see it bustling on a weekday early afternoon. This must mean something good. I came in with my daughter for a nail day. They were busy so of course we were super rushed. It's almost impressive how fast Tam finished my nails but she left powder everywhere, no massage, no cuticle. My daughter got gel and the gel was all spotty. I told the guy in charge after I had paid because I'm not trying to get a discount but just let him know and he said "yeah okay", so I wouldn't come back here unless you want a half ass job done in less than 20 minutes. read more

I paid extra for one of the better pedicures that included a scrub and callus treatment, but she didn't scrub my feet very well. She may have spent 30 seconds tops scrubbing the bottom of each foot. Not only that, but one of my big toes hurt afterward and I realized she gave me an ingrown toenail. I don't remember the lady's name, but it was not a good experience. read more

Dirty and cluttered. Storage areas for their boxes were in the corners of the room. Additionally, employees who could care less about you. I lived in Austin all my life so when I moved to Kyle I was still going to my place in Austin. But when Deluxe Nails opened, I was ecstatic!!! The places across the street in the HEB center are small and dirty. Deluxe Nails truly has a spa-like atmosphere, with flat screen tvs, chandliers, and CLEAN everything! I came here all the time to get pedicures done they did a great job!! Massage, drink some wine, hot stones and paraffin wax. However, It was so incredibly busy one Saturday. I have two girls get waited on before me. Then the tools they used were dirty!!!!!! They had them in the bag but never sterilized. I work with autoclaves and sterilization. It was unbelievable. I've gone here for years and have spent a lot of money at this place. But now that Lush Spa has opened up across the street I will be going there. The reason I won't be going back to Deluxe is because of 2 extremely rude and unprofessional employees. One a man maybe late 30's and other an older woman. I don't know their names. Both have been so rough while working on my hands. Cutting my cuticles over and over I had to jerk my hand back. BUYER BEWARE. Do not waste your time here if you want your fingers intact!! My mom went in to do her nails and the person doing them slit a chunk of her finger off from the far end of the finger. Her finger was bleeding so bad that they put GLUE out of all things to stop it. Not only is that unsanitary but that just shows mere carelessness. And they still made her pay over $100 for that crap! Shady business! ... The last time I was in here, the guy doing my nails was so rough when he was filing them, he kept pulling on them and that is not fun! You could definitely tell he was not happy about being there. Worst of all, i had accidentally scraped a little off of the paint and he got so heated and he started scolding me and talking about me with another of the employees... Horrible business.
