We already had a working heating system. We contacted Home Depot, since we needed an Air Conditioning system installed before my husband underwent surgery for cancer. The AC Installation cost us close to $10,000 for air conditioning approximately 1800 -1900 square feet. . We were informed that the installation would take a maximum of a day and a half. The installation was scheduled to complete well before the surgery. The two installers from Delta Mechanical worked for 2 days at a time (in May 2012) for nearly 4 days and could not complete the installation. They nicked the front door frame and did not repair it. The installers from Delta Mechanical wrongly informed us that the refrigerant line could not run through the crawl space, since they claimed that access to the crawl space was blocked by 'the concrete basement'. However the crawl space was not only accessible through the sideboards, it also had AC ducts and a TV cable running through it. Consequently, they ran 20 ft of refrigerant lines along the side of the home, anchored to the siding and exposed. This not only looks ugly but would need to be relocated if we choose to build on that side of the home. One electrical conduit leading from the AC unit, was fixed on one side of the home towards the back of the home. It is also exposed and ugly to look at. We were not offered any options. One of the Delta Mechanical installers, Hector repeatedly complained that what he was doing was 'work'. He was unable to connect the AC unit to the mains during the first 4 visits. After some diagnostic health work had been completed for my husband, Hector returned and connected the AC to the electrical mains by forcing a wire through the existing conduit. The air conditioning worked feebly. After the first code inspection failed, a different mechanic from Delta Mechanical came and corrected the code violations. The AC installation next failed the second code inspection also. This time even more exceptions were noted. After my husband's surgery, we again took up the issue with Andre Bedgood from Home Depot who was very efficient and called in mechanics from Home Depot and Delta Mechanical. This time a third installer from Delta Mechanical called Enis came to see the work and said the previous installation was of poor quality and he would reinstall everything on August 31st 2012 starting at 9:00AM. I worked from home on Friday 8/31/2012, in order to give Enis access to the house. However he came only in the afternoon and only corrected the code violations pointed out in the inspection report - he did not reinstall the AC as promised. He insisted that it was not possible to pull the refrigerant line through the siding and crawl space due to the concrete basement and left the refrigerant line exposed for 20 feet. In addition, Enis also laid a prominently exposed electrical conduit that joins the mains right next to the carriage light in the patio. He did not consult us before laying the conduit in this way. There were alternative ways to lay that conduit. By this time, we had work done by Delta Mechanical installers over 7-8 visits on the same AC installation. We subsequently obtained quotes and opinions from other AC installers who informed us that the 20 feet of exposed refrigerant line could have been run in the crawl space which also contains AC ducts and television cable lines and that there were other less conspicuous ways of joining the mains than penetrating the newly painted siding, exactly next to the only carriage light in the patio. Carlos Barboa of Delta Mechanical had assured me over the phone, that he would take care of all our concerns after the final code inspection. We have now been informed by Delta Mechanical through Home Depot, that they consider the outstanding issues of exposed refrigerant lines and exposed electrical conduit to be merely 'aesthetic 'issues that they will not correct within the contract for the completed AC installation. Delta Mechanical have further advised us through Home Depot, that they would move the exposed refrigerant lines and exposed electrical conduits to less visible locations for an additional payment, the amount of which they are willing to negotiate with us. Delta Mechanical have also not paid for the final code inspection as of today. Inspection cannot be scheduled until it is paid for. Same situation - Southeast Colorado: I made arrangements through Home Depot Customer Service to have a new water heater installed in a family friend's home because their hot water tank was leaking/old. I was at the local Home Depot making the arrangements at 9:30am (before 12pm for same day installation) and was told the information had been sent over to Delta Mechanical and I would here from them between 2 - 4 hours. After waiting the 2-4 hours for the call back from Delta Mechanical, I call the customer service phone number I was given and spoke with Devin. However, Delta Mechanical had not received any of my information and since it was almost 2pm, it was too late for the same-day install. Devin took all of the information and said he would call back within an hour to let me know if he found a plumber willing to work on Sunday or it would be Monday morning. Devin called me back within forty minutes stating he had a plumber, Andrew, who was willing to work on Sunday as long as he was able to return home to watch his Seahawks! Sunday morning, Andrew called thirty minutes before the schedule two-hour window and verified some information and he was on his way. However, Andrew soon regretted that decision-- it was a nightmare install (basement, dirt (mud) and an old house). The install took ALL day (10:15am - 5:30pm), but during this Andrew was great throughout the entire process. I only spoke on the telephone with him, but the owner of the home and my father was there and they confirmed that Andrew worked very hard and in a professional way and not a complaint about the install circumstances! Andrew left after checking the water tank and pipes for any leaks; however when it rains it pours! After an hour after leaving, there was a leak which turned out to be the sewer line and had nothing but horrible timing to do with the install of the hot water tank. The problems I had where with the 1-800-HOMEDEPOT. I called them on Monday morning to explain what had happened and suggest they needed a confirmation process concerning the installation process. I spoke with a completely different representative but it was determined that the "lead" or my information was created and sent from Delta Mechanical Saturday evening. All of the time sent and information given Saturday morning was completely lost/unknown. Yes, I was physically at the local Home Depot, but all I was told was to call the 1-800-HOMEDEPOT to make the necessary arrangements. I wanted to thank Andrew for his time and patience during this interesting install. This was not the first time I have used Home Depot or Lowe's for some appliance installation and never had these types of issues before. This was the first install done by Delta Mechanical and it was great!. Andrew called on Tuesday to finish the paperwork, but his system was not working properly so he had the office call me back which they did immediately and e-mailed the invoice to me right after the telephone call. Horrible, horrible, horrible company. Run, do not walk, from them. Yelp needs a negative star rating JUST for these guys. And so you all know, Delta is not going to be Home Depot's vendor in this arena. They were contracted to install a Mistubishi heat/ac unit. They "lost" my contract, started days late, and had attitude from here to the moon. They removed a furnace with asbestos flaking tape and took no safety measures, did not cap the old gas line and did not clean up. The first installer closed the order before it was finished and I've had three other teams out here. One unit shorted out, multiple trips to replace or reinstall equipment, multiple trips to finish the job. They didn't pull permits that had been paid for until I screamed then they lied about it. While we passed electrical, they have failed mechanical three times primarily because they are lazy, but they only had to look at a handy diagram left by the inspector to pass the job. Each time here they damaged property or broken things and not told me. After my roof leaked around their access point, destroying bedding, I spent the winter with puppy pee pads taped around the access points. From corporate down, they are resentful about me insisting they do the job paid for, rude, they fail to respond to emails and phone calls and have no problem bad mouthing each other. Nobody takes responsibility for anything. Ever. I've managed major retail build outs with HVAC, painters, carpenters, flooring, electrical and plumbing all working at the same time and have never, ever had this much delay or this many problems. A three day job turned will turn six months old in 12 days. HD has hired another group, inspections are due next week, I'm happy and we should (after failing THREE times) pass inspection next week. But run, run fast and run far, if Delta is ever presented to you as an option. read more

Have to admit after reading these reviews I was hesitant to go with Delta to install my daughter's water heater but not much choice when they're HD's contractor. Early in December I installed a powered exhaust water heater for my daughter. I've installed a few wh in the past so thought I would save her $800-$1000 on the installation (those are the quotes I was getting from different companies in Las Vegas). Well, about a month later it started leaking, decided to go with Delta this time because let's face it..the going back and forth for the parts you need tends to kinda suck and Delta was on the low end of the estimates I received. Once I explained to Customer Rep Rudy what had happened, "So, this is a warranty repair?" Well, I think so...I did purchase it a month ago. Rudy then took care of everything. He said they would come and pick up the old water heater and take it to HD for an exchange then drive back to install the new unit. I had to ask him to repeat this twice since my daughter lives in the NW part of town and the only HD that had this particular wh was in the SW. Rudy gave me a window of 1200-1600, Nick and Nick called at 1425, showed up at 1445..very professional and to the point. They took care of everything...removal, exchange (I did have to meet them at HD to show the store my receipt), installed new supply lines, new pressure relief drain line, replaced the existing seismic straps and surprised me when they added some insulation to the hot water supply line. Little touches like that impressed me and no nickel and diming for these extras...final cost was what Rudy initially told me. Btw, no hassle whatsoever from HD on the exchange. read more

This is the second time I have had to write this review, as my previous one was removed. That alone speaks volumes. I am extremely disappointed by the leadership and management within this company. The project manager, Nate, creates a toxic and divisive work environment that is rooted in favoritism, unprofessional behavior, and blatant disrespect toward employees. I personally witnessed him use excessive profanity, speak negatively about team members behind their backs, and make racially insensitive comments. Work assignments were distributed unfairly, with consistent favoritism shown toward certain employees while others were overlooked. This pattern of behavior damages morale, creates hostility, and undermines the integrity of the entire team. Leadership is supposed to foster accountability, fairness, and professionalism. Instead, this manager has repeatedly demonstrated the opposite -- contributing to a culture that feels discriminatory, unstable, and deeply discouraging for hardworking employees. What makes this even more unfortunate is that the installers and laborers themselves are skilled, respectful, and genuinely good people who deserve competent, ethical leadership. It is disheartening to see strong workers subjected to such poor management. I sincerely hope ownership takes these concerns seriously and reevaluates the leadership in place. No employee should have to work in an environment defined by favoritism, hostility, and disrespect. read more

I just wanted to express my appreciation to Delta Mechanical for their professional and outstanding service. I had new floors put in and they came and removed and reinstalled my toilets. The whole flooring project with a different company was not so smooth and to say the least very frustrating and stressful. I waited patiently after they scheduled to finish a job 3 weeks after leaving me with 1 out of 3 toilets in my house because the floors were not put in. I had family staying with me and had to move my grandmothers 90th bday to a different location. After the 3 weeks they wanted to reschedule me because the worker who was suppose to come and finish my floors was still in California. I was not happy!! They rescheduled me and I finally got my floors done. I called Delta explaining what had happened because I had to have them come back out due to the flooring company's mistakes in scheduling and they were able to accommodate me and send someone. The technician who was suppose to come out was delayed from another work order but Delta was on top of things and sent another technician to come and install my toilets without having to reschedule me. Now that is customer service! Keeping your customer happy and satisfied!!!!! Gavin and Eriberto were both professional and friendly! Thank you Delta for not making me wait another day longer to have my new toilets installed. read more

I don't understand all the bad reviews on this company! It sounds like most of the issues have been due to manufacture error, not install, despite what they are writing. I think this company went way up and above my expectations. Especially since I was in a bind and needed a water heater the same day. They guaranteed that and also the lowest price. They were definitely right. I called 4 difference companies who all gave me a base price that was very low. Had I not known any better, I would have went with them just to be charged a lot more when they got to my house. Delta told me and warned me about all the extras that could happen and I was very impressed by it. The opposite of bait and switch, which happens often in the plumbing industry. The installer who came out was very knowledgeable and was proud in his workmanship. I could just tell. He explained everything. Now, the Home Depot on the other hand, was a nightmare to work with. They gave me all of the wrong information and it was impossible to get a hold of someone there. I understand this review is not about Home Depot so that is all I will say. As for Delta Mechanical, I have referred them to plenty of my friends and they have all been extremely impressed with their service too. read more

I contracted Delta Mechanical thru Home Depot during my counter top installation. I can say that I am extremely satisfied with Delta Mechanical. Delta Mechanical was responsible for the disconnect and reconnect of all plumbing for the counter top installation. Julio Hernandez was polite, knowledgeable and professionally and expertly disconnected all plumbing, and carefully removed the old sink without damage to anything. After the counter tops were installed Julio promptly returned and reconnected all plumbing expertly, making sure there were no hanging sink, plumbing lines, or electrical cords from the disposal unit. Having done home repairs myself including all types of plumbing I can quickly notice professional and expert work and can appreciate it when plumbing is done right. Julio does it right. I would highly recommend Delta Mechanical to any one needing plumbing work. read more

I went right to Home Depot and Delta gave me a price over the phone. Without my hubby I am usually worried about being over charged because quite frankly I have no idea what I should be looking for! I feel so lucky that Ivan took my call, he was patient and explained everything to me, he answered all of my questions. I felt reassured because they guarantee to beat prices, and I was not asked to pay ANY additional when they got to my home. Hi I ordered a new water heater from Home Depot and they (Delta) came out to my home the next morning at the exact time they said they would . They said, because of the height difference of the piping, that they need some additional piping parts that would cost about 65 dollars extra. My wife and I were like "oh dear" however the technician said "hold on" (while talking on the phone to the office). When he got off the phone, he told us it would be free of charge! we were grateful for that. The work was done within an hour and my family/home was back to normal thanks Home Depot and Delta Mechanical and their staff!
