My mom recently passed, and her birthday is today. She and my grandma used to play Bingo when we were kids so the family came out to play. This hall is a little different from Bingo World. I feel like it cost more to play here. The clerks are not as attentive, they're nice but when you're trying to buy extra games they aren't close by. They also don't have trash cans under the table so we had to keep getting up to clean the table. The food is more expensive and they have less choices. Lastly they only take cash which was weird to me. Like no debit, credit, Apple Pay, just cash. Cool experience but I'll stick to the other Bingo Hall. read more

I've only been about 6 times but it's a nice bingo hall. It doesn't give me a feel that it is old or worn down. It is nicely lit in the bathrooms are clean as well as all of the tables. The staff are very helpful with explaining all of the games as well as coming to ask a question at any given time. The concession stand food is pretty decent and the prices are too. Don't buy the pull-tabs. I bought over $100 worth of them and got 0 players, 0!!!! I won a $1 playback and when I went to go turn it in, the pull-tab seller insinuated that I was pressed. So, if I would have spent the $1 on another pull-tab, it would have been ok, but since I wanted the cash instead, it was an inconvenient problem for him ‍? On top of that, the slot machines are fake. This place has no concept of customer service. Be expeted to be treated like garbage when they are about 25% higher than their competitors. I ordered a sandwich at the snack bar during break. I paid my 6.00 for a water and a sandwich. The girl never gave me my receipt. I came back at the first chance. They looked at me like I had 3 heads. They said no receipt no sandwich. After nearly a year of passing it by, my girlfriend and I checked out Delta Bingo a few weeks back. It was a pretty enjoyable experience. For roughly $25 a person, we got hours of entertainment watching the numbers come up and blotting our bingo cards with numbers present on our cards. We didn't win our first time at Delta Bingo (we probably should have brought good luck charms) but there is always next time. Side note to mention the small food counter- great food at great prices. I finally received the opportunity to visit and play. I was happy to see organization, a food counter, and social distancing. I wish there was a mask mandate. The games runs little fast so you have to listen closely and pay attention. There are multiple games occurring throughout the game and you can expect to be there about 2.5-3 hours. Years ago, Delta Bingo allowed patrons to bring in food be it for a birthday party, which would make it a more enjoyable evening, or ethnic cuisine to satiate ones pallet, or save a little $$ bringing in their own. The onsite snack bar didn't seem to have much of any issue at the time. Their prices were adequate. Once management decided that no outside food was to be brought in, the snack bar prices went up and the quality of the food went down, needless to say the quantity of what they give you was noticeable. When some patrons brought in food, they were told to remove it from the premises while others doing the same thing were overlooked. Managers have the tendency to allow certain players the ability to eat what they bring in while others are told to remove their items. It seems this policy is $$ driven. They have a 'Captive Audience' when it comes to supplying certain food items at higher prices during play. There have been incidences where the Managers have verbally threatened players that 'if they bring food in again, they will be rejected from the premises'. There also seems to be issues with some of the other employees who do not cater to certain groups of people. This management needs to better screen and vet hires for this kind of work. read more

I am not a big bingo or gaming person, but I did go here once with a friend. Since it's not something I typically do, I'll give the perspective of my friend. He'll make the 41 mile round trip ride to play bingo on Monday and Wednesdays and he doesn't return until they close, which is at 3 am. He says it's his therapy. read more

I enjoy playing at Delta. The games are great. I miss midnight bingo though. I don't like the fact that you can't bring in food or drinks. The food there is not the greatest, and they charge an arm and a leg for it, that's why a lot of people don't come. The competition has games that are cheap and some great food. The hot seat winners are the same people all the time. It makes you wonder. I have been going to Delta for 38 years and since they started the hot seat, I have only one it twice. WTH. I win sometimes, but then I drop a lot of money when I walk through the door. I spend on an average of $300 a night. I love the pull tabs and I love the computers, I never win on the packs. I enjoy the overall establishment. The place is fun and well kept. My issue is with the young lady at the snack bar. Most of the young women there are nice and respectful. But one young lady in particular appears to have a bad attitude and no respect for the customers, no matter the age or anything. I think her name is Channa or something. She's the one with the glasses at night. Ever since I've been there, she has gotten into with several customers. Plus she's constantly cursing up a storm. How she keeps her job is beyond me . I have been to this Bingo hall a total of 3 times to date. One time by myself and 2 times with other people. This hall is cash only but has an ATM onsight. They also only have the paper playing option and slot machines scattered around the facility. They have 2 time options for bingo which include early bird and regular bingo. The prices are fairly reasonable and you can pick and choose what extra games you would like to do. Some of the staff are extremely helpful and nice to beginners. Unfortunately, some of the staff can be rude and could use a lesson or 2 on customer service. You are allowed to bring outside food and drink onsite but they also have a snack bar with food available for purchase and is fairly inexpensive. Currently this is my go to spot for bingo. read more

Come prepared: - no less than $30 in cash and ask for the special boards - have a dabber or get there early enough to buy one at the carry out counter. ($2) - bring your own food is allowed, and yes... these folks had coolers cause they know they gonna be there all day - a session may be about 3 hours so have time - newbys dont go alone or you'll miss a lot (you will need somebody else there with you catch the crazy isht that happen too, and to make sure you use the right boards - newbys, again, don't get caught up in those side game (like donkey what...‍?!) They also have 3 different places to buy bingo boards, which is not efficient. Seems like you could have an all-in-one pack when you buy at the main cashier. This is a play-by-play of Bingo from the moment you drive up for the Saturday 8pm game: 1. CASH ONLY. Bring as much as you want to spend in cash. They have ATMs. 2. PARKING: Free parking, but the lot often fills up on popular nights. Get there early, at least by 7:30pm to get a parking space. 3. WALKING UP: Left door entrance is the main cashier. Right door entrance is the snack bar. There is a hallway connecting the two. 4. BINGO BOARDS AND SPECIALS PACK - BUY AT THE MAIN CASHIER: Buy your main bingo boards from the cashier. They give you a helpful printed list of the 28 rounds with snack bar prices on the back. $5 for 3 board set. $14 for 9 board set. $18 for 18 board set. $6 for specials pack (additional bingo rounds not included in the Regular pack) $1 for Either/Or. I still don't know what this is. I got the 3 board set and specials pack, but wished I had gotten the 9 board. You daub the whole set of 3 or 9 or 18 boards for every number called during a game. At the end of the round, you rip off that board from your pack and start the next one. Each board is a different color. When in doubt, look at your neighbors and see what boards they have in front of them. 5. DAUBER: This is the ink pen that marks dots on your bingo board. $2 per dauber. Buy at the snack bar. Various colors. 6. SNACKS: You can bring your own food and drink to Bingo, or buy at the snack bar or at your seat. Very reasonable prices at the snack bar. Sign up BEFORE Bingo starts. If you wait until intermission, there will be a long line and you will have to leave your ID at the desk or miss the next game. When you enter the main hall, walk to the left wall and sign up with the person at the desk. Swipe your membership card at the kiosk every hour that you're there. Doesn't matter when you swipe as long as it's sometime between 8-8:59pm, 9-9:59pm, 10-10:59pm, etc. With membership, you can win door prizes when they call member names. 9. CHOOSE A SEAT - get a good view of the TV screen and of the Bingo numbers board. Except at Delta - it's 2 giant rooms of people ranging in age from 18-80+ yelling obscenities or "No way they have Bingo!" Delta Bingo is one of my absolute favorite places to go to on a Saturday night. I haven't been enough times to call myself a regular...but uh, I'm pretty sure the woman who carries around the bonus bingo cards remembered Alicia C and I from previous trips...so I guess I'm/we're on my/our way to regular status? Delta Bingo is Canadian-owned and is played multiple times daily. There's early bird (7PM), regular (8PM), late night early bird (11PM) and late night regular (12AM) - that I'm aware of. Each early bird round is worth $100, a regular round is $300, bonus games are $1000 and the jackpots range from $500-$10000. It's a damn good thing I don't live closeby or have a car because I'd have to lie to my friends when they ask where I am / why I'm all the way in Laurel. The games are taken quite seriously and it's best to know the rules before showing up and calling out "Bingo!" when you don't actually have bingo. That being said, if you're new to Delta, just go with the 9 board cards and gradually work your way up. They sell cards that range from 9 to 18 boards. (I think a 9 board card will run you $10) I'm proudly daubing a 12-board card with minimal stress. There are also bonus rounds that are definitely worth purchasing as well as the blackout jackpot cards. They're bonus rounds are $1 each and the jackpots $2 each and honestly, it's silly NOT to buy them otherwise you'll be sitting there bored for 2 blackout rounds. While you're playing, of course you'll need some kind of nourishment. There are several ways to satisfy this... 1. They have a snackbar that you can either order from directly OR you can flag down the snackbar runners who will take your order and take payment from you and then deliver your snack. Or 2. You can bring your own food and drink (just no alcohol). My suggestion is to pick up mini-burgers from newly opened Matchbox in Rockville on your way up from DC because let's face it...they are the perfect size for nibbling while you daub. It can be kind of scary to sit near the intense regulars of Delta Bingo, but if you chat them up, ask them why they have 4 daubers or offer them a cookie/cupcake or whatever treat you brought, you'll easily make a new friend or two. They may even loan you a napkin and/or fork (because who doesn't have a stash of them in their Mary Poppins carpet bag they brought along?)... That is...unless you prematurely call bingo. Delta is open in Laurel so kudos to them. The set up is good and user friendly. They are pretty good at applying the safety standards for operation. They could/should be more stringent on proper use of masks by patrons and callers. Patrons are not monitored or corrected to the extent they should. Noses have been uncovered on occasions I have played. Most disturbing is a caller who didn't wear a mask for the full session called. That is inexcusable, as the caller made several announcements during the session. The food options are minimal and outside items are not allowed, except water. Value of the games is good. I was so very disappointed with this establishment! Nothing like the website. My family and I drove an hour and half to go Saturday Night! Such rude workers and the people that were there were mean and very rude! No one wanted to answer questions, it was so hot and crowded and the bingo caller was terrible! Couldn't understand her and we lost money on pull tabs cause we had no idea when she did them! I am used to the Bingo halls in Texas and this was Nothing like we were familiar with. And OMG IT WAS SO AMAZEBALLS I CAN'T EVEN!!!!!!!!!!!! But Delta Bingo is fraught with bingo-tastic danger as well - so here are my lessons learned: 1) If you want the 8pm game (and, believe me, you do), get there by 7:30 at the latest. It'll take you a good 15 minutes to figure out what the hell is going on. 2) If you are going with large party (more then 4 people), be prepared to split up. But don't worry, you're not losing out on anything, because THERE IS NO TALKING IN BINGO. It's quieter than a library. Seriously. 3) When you go up to the counter to buy your sheets - DO NOT ASK THE GUY WHAT TO BUY. You will end up like us, and have a 18 sheeter, and nearly have a heart attack to keep up. This is what you say (REPEAT AFTER ME): "I want the 9. And yes, give me 2 of the Jackpot". I know this means nothing to you - don't worry, it'll make sense in a minute. 4) Go up to the snack bar to get the daublers. Do not buy the cheap $1 mini ones. Invest in that $2 and get the large daubler. it'll make life simpler. 5) After you find your seat, turn to your neighbors and be nice. If you let them you're a noob, they may even help your butt out. Do not interrupt them between calls...because they can, and will, cut a bitch up. 6) Wait until 8. During this time, look around the room. Notice the boards with the numbers. Get into the swing of things. Looking adorably clueless will get sympathy from your neighbors (who will then help you out...but again, DON'T interrupt their play. They *WILL* cut you...and I will back them up). 7) Once the 8pm game starts, pretend it's the SATs. Remember those? Daublers up! FOCUS! Ignore distractions! DAUB YOUR LITTLE HEART OUT! This is is what seperates the ivy league from the community college! DAUB DAMMIT! DAUB! 8) At this point, you can now thank me. Because the "9" means you only have nine "boards" to contend with during each game. Yes, I know you're sitting there going...wait...9 boards? That's ludicris! I can manage 30 boards! No. NO YOU CAN'T! We got the biggest board and nearly passed out from the stress. Our neighbors ended up helping us daub...because we just couldn't keep up! 9) Pay attention. Some games mean that you use the same board for both games. If in doubt, watch what your neighbors do. 10) After the game (and the 8pm game runs until 10), go up to the customer service desk next to the men's bathroom, and get a membership card. It's free, but it'll make you feel like a high roller, even if you didn't win. The best part of Bingo? That was 2.5 hours of entertainment...and it cost less then $20. *I KNOW*. OMG SO CRAZY FUN! We were dying to know what was so great about it so we checked it out. I agree with others, it is bit to understand at first but watching the pros sitting right next to you makes it easier.
