It's a decent stadium for AA ball. I wouldn't put this in my favorite category, but there are some positive attributes. Can't think of a bad seat here, as the views of the field are nice. Also the seats and bleachers are fairly comfortable, along with having some leg room. I've been here several times, and last night the Altoona Curve beat the home team. The fireworks show last night was well done. As for getting here be careful on 301 and 50. Drivers are maniacs, although the team has done well with its parking lot. Yes prices are expensive at all minor league events, but their prices are ridiculous. If you're wanting us to shell out this money, also make sure you bring a credit card, build more restrooms and get the food lines moving. Absolutely madness. Still a good time. It was fun to see Louis from Bowie the mascot again.

Bottom Line: An easy to navigate stadium that primarily serves as the home to the Bowie Baysox baseball team, the class AA affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. The Bowie Baysox are about 24 years old now and they still play at the Prince George's Stadium which is also 24 years old. Two nice things about a minor league stadium is that the parking is free and the stadium is easy to navigate. It's so nice when your seat is close to the concession stand, the bathroom and the car. Also, prices to attend a game here are affordable and they have fireworks after the game on Saturday nights. The concession stands are pretty typical. I do wish they had a big screen to replay plays because that would make the fame a bit easier to follow. Also, the fans here seem to be a great, chill crowd with good sportsmanship. The stadium has special event spaces like private boxes and a pavilion that can be rented for parties. They have a Carousel too. Prince George's stadium hosts other events like lacrosse games and concerts.

We went to a Wednesday evening Bowie (I'm not a Maryland native, so I ALWAYS say this incorrectly) Baysox game. The stadium sits sort of off the beaten path behind some commercial buildings. It's well marked, but I still felt like we were going to some big box store when we made the turn. After a short drive through some trees we came to a large parking lot. There were some attendants directing traffic, but for the most part the lot was empty and we had no trouble finding parking fairly close to the entrance. The worst part about the game was the traffic on 95/495 on the way there, so we were a few minutes late for the 6:35 start time. The good thing is that there were NO lines to get it and lots and lots of seating once we got inside. About half of the vendors were closed (attendance really was low). The stadium was clean and everyone working there was very friendly and nice. Lots of eye contact and smiling, which is pretty cool when you're taking your 5 year old to a ball game. We sat on the left side in the GA seating (orange benches) so that we would be in the shade. There was a large kiddie area on the opposite side that looked like it had some bounce houses and a carousel, although we didn't check it out up close. We ordered french fries (very good), pizza (fine), chicken sandwich (grilled with NO salt, yuck), and a pitt beef sandwich (good), with a soda and a beer to wash it all down. Also ice cream, because we were in a ball park and didn't get a hot dog, so we AT LEAST had to have ice cream. The team lost, but... it didn't really matter. There were lots of goofy activities for the kids on the field, dizzy bat races, sumo wrestling, The best part? The mascot's name is Louie, so now I can remember that Bowie rhymes with Louie, and isn't pronounced like David Bowie. Okay, maybe that wasn't the best part, but I'm still pretty pleased with it.

We went on $1 hot dog and $2 draft night at the pavilion (tent)! It ends when the game starts but it was great fun. The stadium itself is really neat for minor league play. They even have an assortment of wine available! Highly recommend going to a game and enjoy the hustle of those who want to make it to the Big leagues!

(7/24/2016) Great little stadium in Bowie, centrally located between DC, Annapolis, and Baltimore. Prices really cheap, $10 general admission. Since it was going to be one of those 100F days in the middle of the summer, went primadonna-style and got suite seats in the Diamond View Restaurant. It was perfect, felt like low-rent royalty, only $23 for access to A/C, clean bathrooms, and table service. I'm not a super huge baseball fan, but I do enjoy a live game every once in a while, and I do like my creature comforts. You also get access to the private outdoor seating section, directly behind home plate. We were the only ones out there, it was like our own private party. I have done GA before and there isn't a bad seat in the house, just if you want some shade, sit on the 3rd base side (west), that way in the late afternoon you won't be roasting. Prices are still high for concessions, considering it's just a hot dog or bag of popcorn, but you're a captive audience, no where else to go, and no outside food can be brought in (unlike at Camden Yards). The food in the restaurant is actually pretty good and the prices would be on par with any other sit down restaurant with table service. Love the minors for the hometown stunts between the innings. Come for the fireworks, they rival anything in the surrounding cities and you're out in the boonies so it gets dark, like for reals, you can see stars and everything.

This was a nice ballpark with wide concourses and good sight lines. The only problem was the concession stands, they took forever and I missed three innings during which the Baysox scored all the game's runs. Also fans in the general admission area leave a lot to be desired. Few watch the game, most arrive late, and young kids jump from seat to seat not caring who they disturb.

She was excited for the game to start, showing off her free bat on kids appreciation night.

Woah. WHAT WHAT? A couple things that have blown my mind…read more 1) There is a Major League Lacrosse team. Like, at all. and 2) ANNAPOLIS has a league. WHAAAAAAT? Right? I'm confused and blown too. My husband played lacrosse in high school and loved it. He had always played football and was a football jock (ugh, I know, I hate them too...fortunately, he's lovable enough to overcome this unfortunate flaw), but when his best friend in HS introduced him to lacrosse, he found what really made him happy. So one day, we're out, and having dinner when the bartender turns the TV to a lacrosse game. My husband immediately is rivited and starts explaining why I should be utterly fascinated by this. As he's talking, the guy sitting next to him, starts telling him about the Annapolis team...and how we're actually pretty good. WHAT WHAT? We have a *league*?!? So, clearly, tickets were immediately purchased and the next thing I know, I'm sitting on the first row, at the 50 yard line, watching incredibly adorably hot guys run past. Right. Best part about lacrosse: uber hot guys. Second best part about lacrosse: uber cheap tickets. We were sitting at the 50 yard line, front row...and tickets were something like $25 each. Third best part about lacrosse? Sitting 10 feet away, staring at uber hot guys. Seriously, why didn't anyone ever tell me about this???!!!??? Arguably, my new favorite sport in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD now. Um...I think we won. I really wasn't paying attention. But my husband had a blast, I had a surprisingly good time, and, again...uber hot guys. Right.

The difference is that women's football is rarely recognized as a viable sport, and the support from the NFL and large corporate sponsors has been close to nil. In fact, the Divas used to belong to the "WNFL" division (Women's National Football League, obviously) until the NFL whined and cried, claiming that this name was a trademark infringement and that the women's league would draw attention and fans away from there. Are you SERIOUS? Why couldn't you help elevate women's athletics, NFL? Why you gotta be like that? I still love you, tho...I can't help myself. (Now the Divas are part of the IWFL, or Independent Women's Football League.) Anyway. The Divas are an incredibly hard-working, dedicated group of women who practice their asses off, play their asses off, and don't get paid a dime to do it. They do it because they. LOVE. football. Period. Their season is Spring/Summer, and their home games are at the great venue of the PG Sports and Learning Complex, directly in the shadow of FedEx Field. General admin tickets are a complete steal at $12, while military, police, fire, and EMS, as well as seniors and children, receive nice discounts. You can buy your tickets online or at the gate. For $20 you can also purchase VIP tickets which get you 50-yard-line seating in bleachers with backs on the seats, a program, and WAITER service! C'mon, that's cool. Concessions (burgers, fried fish, fries etc) are supplied by a lively and friendly family-run vendor, and beer, wine, and mixed drinks are sold at a separate concession stand. Rita's usually sets up shop, too, y'all! Other than the food and beverage vendors, all the games are completely staffed by volunteers, from the chain gang, to the merchandise vendors, to the ticket booth. They're mostly good friends and family of players, but some are just die-hard Divas fans. In fact, most of the coaches, team doctors, and trainers are all volunteer as well. Husband and I have been selling tickets at the gate for the past four seasons. Games are so much fun. I love seeing little kids come through the gate to their first game screaming, with their eyes bugging out of their heads, "Those are GIIIRRRRLS playing?!?!?" Yeah, they sure are, and they're GOOD. They put that other burgundy-and-gold DC football team (who shall remain nameless) to shame. Last year they went to the IWFL Superbowl in Austin, TX, and lost a heart-breaking game but played like champs anyway. They were world champs in 2006, tho! Please come out and support a wonderful team of women who are passionate about what they do. Bring your kids, your friends, make some noise, drink a beer, storm the field afterwards and meet some players. They love their fans. A lot.

The Valor team absolutely abolished the Baltimore Bregade! It was obvious that there was a lot of talent on the field. I saw good sportsmanship as well. Players on both teams would help each other up after a fall. The players, and coach, also interacted a bit with the crowd. We are close enough to hear every word and all of the in-game coaching decisions. QB Meyer executed the offensive game plan beautifully and WR Washington was all over the field. It's going to be exciting watching these guys all season. The prices for beer and food is what you would expect at the Verizon Center (overpriced) but the tickets to the game are reasonably priced. This is definitely a family event with lots of excitement to be had by all. I even caught a ball and got to keep it! The prices go down and the seating availability goes way up. The deal here for us was booking same day front row seats next to the visiting dugout for a luscious 11am day game. If you would have taken away the school groups in attendance, maybe there would have been 200-300 there at best. At higher-level minor league stadiums (AAA or even AA) you usually get more personal or corporate season ticket sales which to the team means the seats are sold, but most of the year no one is using those seats. At the A ball level here, it's more of a free for all where if you come for the right games on the right days, you can have amazing seats and it's all up for grabs. As for the game itself, it was a 0-0 pitcher's duel until Delmarva brought in Edgar Portes and he coughed up a three-run bomb in the 7th and then another solo shot in the 8th. Delmarva's offense came up small and they didn't get a runner to third base until the 9th inning which is why they went down 5-0. A few random thoughts and observations: You can buy and print your tickets at home along with pre-paying the $5 parking charge or you can just show the PDF on your phone. Easy enough except the day of our game none of the staff had scanners and all they were doing was taking pictures of your phone screen with their personal phone to I guess show someone else later. So difficult and beautifully inefficient. I love it. You also could in theory park for free. If you drive down Hobbs Road past the main entrance/exit area for the parking lot, there is a small dirt road which I guess is supposed to be an overflow exit for busy game nights, but it's not patrolled, and you could drive up into the back of the main lot and no one would know. Prices are reasonable, the weather was great, the play on the field was as good as it gets for A ball and I don't care about overpriced crap minor league baseball cafeteria quality food. The overall experience was great. A++

Concession lines were long as expected, but they moved fairly quickly this time. It was also nice to see more access to ice cream stands on both sides. The biggest disappointment was the kids' zone. They've changed it to an $8 wristband system, but the activities were very limited and repetitive -- mostly variations of throwing a ball into something. There was minimal staff, and it felt unorganized with kids not really taking turns. For younger kids especially, it wasn't worth it. On the way out, there was a foam/bubble area that the kids enjoyed, but it was pretty messy and not well-managed, especially considering the cooler weather. My father called ahead of time since him and I are both disabled (we both have handicap placards and my father has a permanent disabled license plate) He finally got ahold of someone and they said if we want handicap parking up close get the gold parking pass. I paid 200 dollars for parking. Yes, 200. Parking up close is VERY important to me.. Nobody was helpful in guiding us to the lot we paid 200 dollars for. Also, they told us when we got there there's no handicap places, we just have to go and sit on a blue bench and call a number for a golf cart to pick us up. I called the number 3 times and somebody did answer. They were nice but not helpful. We ended up having to give up and walk. No workers were helpful, and when we would try to flag down other workers on golf carts they would not stop for us. They did not even look at us The stadium is very outdated. It looks extremely industrial and not welcoming Very crowded Lines were long There definitely was not enough bathrooms or food areas to keep up with all the people it can hold However, I did enjoy the seats we had. I liked the view. And the field looks great. I will say, the bathrooms for the MOST part were clean for over 50 thousand people being there. I did see a toilet overflowing onto the ground though. But workers were taking care of it This stadium needs a huge update. Do not waste 200 on up close parking. It wasn't even that up close and nobody came and picked us up despite us calling and waiting for 43 minutes (the game had already started while we were waiting) Again, I do have to hand it to the woman on the phone who kept answering.
