The stadium is actually not as bad as people make it. The lower seats are actually quite nice. Staff are friendly and food selection is decent but drinks are sky high expensive. It is true not located near much and traffic is awful. It's quite a walk from Metro and some games and many concerts end after it closes. Hence the new DC stadium will be a welcome change plus having large concerts in the District on 3 metro lines will be a huge plus. The first game against the Seahawks (go Hawks) in 20 for Monday Night Football on the upper deck in 2021 was not impressive at all but beat the experience of the Dome in St. Louis. The upper deck in Baltimore is way better. However our last experience several rows back in the lower deck near the end zone for the Sunday Night Football game for a nearly sold out crowd in 2025 was amazing. While the Commanders (then Washington Football Team) beat the Seahawks narrowly in 2021, the Seahawks beat them in a landslide in 2025. We felt bad seeing poor Jayden Daniels get reinjured though. read more

This is the closest stadium to my house, and I have been going for decades at this point. I have always enjoyed it because I've never had to worry about the chaos that is the parking there. My friend lives in the neighborhood right at the edge of one of the roads leading to it, so I usually park at the edge of that neighborhood and walk over. It takes a good 20 minutes or so, but I need the steps anyway. So if the weather is nice, it's a win-win. I have mostly been for football games and most recently a soccer game, which I really enjoyed. As you can expect in most stadiums, the food and drinks are very expensive. This was the first time, however, that I recognized a new vendor that owns a restaurant nearby that I frequent, and I couldn't believe that there was a 50% upcharge on all of the items, omg!! I don't recognize most of the vendors outside of the stadiums, but do all of them do that?! That's pretty wild. Anyways, I have always appreciated how efficiently lies to check in and go inside go, and my interactions with the various event staff have always been pleasant. I have witnessed a handful of folks getting dragged out and getting into arguments, but from what I can tell that's on them. I don't have too many other stadiums to use as a point of reference, but I've never had any particular issues with this one. read more

It gets a little frustrating that for major DC stadium concerts and events, we're forced to pay these premium prices for less than premium experiences. I've seen a good amount of major events and compared to other stadiums across the country, the former Fed ex field is bare minimum basic. The concourse is always packed with tons of lines. The concession prices are highly inflated. The ushers never check tickets and so there's always individuals sitting in the wrong seats. This also is an open air stadium so every event is at the mercy of the weather. read more

This is by far the worst stadium in the area. It has progressively become worse over the years. I went to the Beyoncé concert in July. Temperatures were sweltering. Parking was insane. I walked about 2 miles in the sun to the stadium. Upon entering, I was told to discard my unopened water for entry and that, "they selling water for $8 in there"...... There were no cooling stations or water easily accessible. The lines for water were extremely long. The bathrooms were disgusting and the heat/funk combination made them unusable. The experience was so bad that I would not go to another concert/event here. I would travel out of the area to see Beyonce again before I return here. read more

How did you spend your 4th of July????!!?? I spent mine rocking with Beyonce at the Northwest Stadium (formely FedEx Stadum) in DC. Very entertaining..... About the stadium - getting to and from the stadium is a bit overwhelming plan for stadium food prices (as popcorn was $12.99 - see size in pics - and margaritas were $28.99) The stadium is an open venue, so dress for the weather (also when dressing, plan to walk at least a mile for transportation - IF not parking at stadium *good walking shoes a MUST*) Of course, as with all stadiums (small bag or clear bag) - there are $15 lockers in case you forget About the show - Not a Beyonce fan - so show was mid (at best). I expected more dancing and showmanship but I sung the songs at the top of my lungs anyhow! read more

I've been here a few times over the last 10 years as my friend is a season ticket holder for the Commanders and a super fan. She has VIP parking into the stadium which, if you can get it, is fabulous bc the interstate takes you right there and they prioritize traffic in and out for you. If you do not have that, parking is an absolute nightmare and we spent about two hours trying to get into a parking lot from a side street bc my husband decided the GPS said "it was faster" so he didn't listen and got off the interstate. Bad call. We missed kickoff and about 1.5 quarters of the game. The stadium itself is very nice and has tons of food options, shopping, and things to see and do while there. I enjoy the games here but, boy, is parking bad. read more

The stadium itself is great once you're inside, but the parking situation really brings the experience down. Parking is disorganized, and the long lines make getting in a slow process. On a positive note, the restrooms were very clean, and the staff at the concession stands were friendly and helpful. Overall, I'd give it three stars mainly because of the parking issues. read more

I know event parking can be a whole ordeal most times but the way Northwest stadium handled parking for the Night Nation run was so silly! There was no signage for the blocked off street leading to the venue (which is where most people's GPS will take them). After finding my way to the specified lot. There was a 30 minute back up in traffic as 2 people working for the venue stood outside taking manual payments on a hand held device for parking. Signs would have a least helped to explain what was going on, as people were looking for answers which caused more confusion with the line and made things take longer. read more

If you had asked me two years ago... maybe even only one year ago... I would not have recommended coming to an event here, especially a football game. The stadium was full of broken electronics (monitors, speakers), peeling paint, and a dingy look and feel all over. But... Since the Harris Group took over the team, the atmosphere and infrastructure have improved greatly. Let's see if that plays out for the rest of the season, but... in 2024, so far - so good! My one biggest complaint is still the traffic. It's a nightmare getting in and out for major events. I think the way they handle the road leading in and out from one side is fine, it's where this meets the main road (214) that things become a nightmare. The traffic light still gets in the way, and people don't pay attention, so you don't get through the light efficiently. Otherwise, things have gotten MUCH better inside the stadium. I'm hoping the on-field product keeping improving too, but this is about the facility only. ;) It's still a work in progress, I suppose, but things have gotten much better in the past year alone. I'm impressed. It's a place I'm proud to watch a game at now. read more

I got injured unfortunately before my Cowboy Carter show and I must say the staff really did help me navigate through that big stadium. The staff were amazing and so helpful. I had direct access via the ADA entrance to have an easy, hassle free entry into the venue. I was provided water and was escorted through the venue via wheelchair accessibility. The staff was very polite and emphatic to my injury and my needs. The Manager allowed me to sit in the ADA section to ensure my safety viewing the amazing show. After the show, I was escorted to the parking lot safely. I thought the staff did an amazing job and I can not wait for my next show. read more

I felt welcomed in the home of a rival. The patrons around us were not rude, as we were Philadelphia Eagles fans. There were quite a lot of Eagles fans in the house. It was a cold, brisk day, with the sun shining directly on us, but it was comfortable. We were comfortable in our warm outdoor attire, and I didn't need gloves. Getting into the stadium was straightforward. Our seats were in the upper level and on the 50-yard line. The view was incredible! The prices on food and drink were typical for a stadium and the lines were not long shortly before halftime. Exiting the stadium was not straightforward. For about 15 minutes, we approached the parking lot only to find the walkway blocked. In the cold, brisk weather, now with no sun, we had to walk 3/4 of the way back around the stadium to the other side to access the parking lot. This was a bit much as our hands and feet began to get cold before we reached our car. read more

A bunch of (mostly) rude people who would rather spend their time arguing and shouting at guests instead of trying to control the line. A bunch of people came in to create another line right next to us and they got priority over us, and security kept holding up everyone when someone spoke to them in a tone they didn't like. read more

We recently came to the stadium for a concert and the concert was AMAZING! Now that that is out the way the stadium itself, first off they said parking opens at 3pm, it did not. Next it was advertised that doors open at 5pm, they also did not. We waited right in front a gate with what appeared to be hundreds of people until about 6:15-6:30pm before the gates opened. There was no communication as to why the gates weren't opened or if things were delayed but that would have been extremely helpful. When it came to seats, no one was really helping guide people to their correct sections and rows the way I have seen at other stadiums we have been too. This left for many many many people to bother us what felt a ridiculous number of times about how we were in their seats, when they were in fact in the wrong section. The stadium can use some improvements in these areas, and we have never encountered this many mishaps at other stadiums. read more

This stadium couldnt' have been any worse. FedEx field just got renamed to Northwest stadium. Yesterday was the home opener. We paid extra money for GOLD LINE passes. We were in line for 45 minutes because apparently machines went down. This is the FIRST game of the season and the stadium folks can't even get it together to make sure everything is running smoothly and ensure enough staff is equipped. We asked one staff member where the gold line was and he had no idea! When we got up to the front of the line finally, I complained to the lady working that this was the worst service ever and she looked at me as if everything was fine. Their security machine went down and so did the ticket scanner. I thought things got better once Snyder left, but clearly MD still can't get it together. What an awful first experience. To whoever is running the scene, you did a horrible job yesterday and should be fired. read more

I had season tickets for many years to Redskin games. I didn't go to any games this past year. I lost interest and gave the tickets up. The traffic to and from the stadium is horrific. It's a mile walk from the metro. The food is fair at best. The stadium feels very old. I'm glad they're going to build a new one. read more

Terrible access, middle of nowhere, obsructed views, bad technology for screens/PA system.... completely underwhelming. Good luck getting out of the area, 1 hour cab or taxi minimum. if 0 was an option it deserves a negative one. read more
