This is a nice ballpark to watch the Nationals play at home, but it lacks the ambience of Camden Yards (in Baltimore) or the history of Fenway Park (in Boston). Before you arrive, remember to bring a clear plastic bag and one plastic bottle of water (unopened). Metal and glass containers are prohibited. At the main gate, you first go through a metal detector. Then, you scan a QR code to enter the turnstile gates. On the plus side, it's easy to access using public transportation via Metro (short walk to a station). However, if you are driving here, try to reserve a parking spot in advance. Some parking lots are a 15 minute walk away, so plan accordingly and bring comfortable sneakers. Inside the ballpark, you'll find several places to eat, including Shake Shack and Ben's Chili Bowl. If you're going to a Sunday afternoon game at 1:35pm in the summertime, visiting team seats on the 3rd base side get partial shade around 2:30pm-3:00pm. However, seats on the 1st base side will be exposed to the sun during the entire game. Most Nats fans are pretty friendly toward visiting team guests. Overall, I think it's a good ballpark for watching a game - but it's not the nicest ballpark on the East Coast. read more

Most vendors quick to process orders and keep the line moving. For hot days there are mister fans in various locations to cool the summer heat. Being a New York sports fan it's hard to imagine attending a live sporting event without an element of menace. A spur of the moment trip to see the Nationals in DC was an easy audible with close proximity to the Metro and a knowledgeable, hardworking staff to smooth all the edges. One note. If you look for tickets on-line, the Nats will force you to create an account with MLB.com -- a task which is somewhat involved since I have no interest in buying the team and only want two tix. As the Nats run a cash-free organization, the easiest thing to do is go to their ticket office directly outside the center field gate and they'll text you two tix without the MLB nonsense. Being an avid ticket stub collector, I should deduct a star but what the hell, the evening was a blast. A beautiful ballpark and a great time. Five easy stars. read more

NATIONALS PARK in Washington, D.C.! We were able to catch the LA Dodgers during cherry blossom season! There were trees inside, which were in full bloom, and I even found a cherry blossom chair! We secured tickets on Easter Sunday, which turned out to be a rainy day, so game time was delayed a couple of hours. Ohtani hit a home run! Final score: 8-6 Dodgers. There were A LOT of Dodgers fans! Uncomplicated stadium. Simple to navigate. Friendly staff. Nats fans were fun. Overall, it was an stress-free visit and I felt safe...even while wearing a LA hat! :-) Easy walk from the Metro Station. We just ordered the basics: hot dog, nachos, and draft beer. Prices were reasonable and the food tasted pretty fresh. I was surprised because we had to grab it from the heat rack. I saw Marine One from our 300's Section, but it was probably in training and/or a decoy. Just across the street is the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge, which you can also see from one of the stadium gates. But, I decided to walk over to take a closer look! read more

Nationals Park is not just a great MLB ballpark experience, but a great professional sports stadium experience. Located along the Anacostia River in Navy Yard, it is one of the more functional and accessible MLB stadiums with ramps and elevators. Nationals Park is the first major professional stadiums in the country to earn LEED Silver Certified status by the U.S. Green Building Council, having incorporated sustainable design elements. The stadium is beautiful, however, doesn't have the historic charm that some of the other stadiums in the league have. There is obviously plenty seating and even better, open standing room to watch the game. You'll find customer-friendly stands serving traditional ballpark food, unattended and cashless grab and pay vendors, bars, and restaurants. Surrounding the ballpark is a plethora of sports bars, restaurants, and pre-game social venues. The team's merchandise store is adequate and staff, friendly. During the spring, you can find cherry trees in peak bloom in many of the standing room areas around the park, adding a beautiful backdrop and scenery to spring games. The park is highly accessible by many roads, connecting all quadrants of the city, Northern Virginia, and Prince George's County, MD. However, parking is limited and on game day and special events, the price to park taxes the wallet. I recommend using Metro which gets you close to the ballpark, including nearby Navy Yard - Ballpark Station which gets you the closest and within steps from the one of the entrances to the ballpark on Half Street. This Metro stop gets crowded because of its proximity to the ballpark. If you have time for a walk, consider exiting the station at New Jersey Avenue or to skip the madness entirely, consider riding to Southwest Waterfront Metro and walking over, crossing South Capitol Street. read more

My most recent experienfe at Nationals Park was extremely disappointing to a point I am strongly considering not coming back. I went on 05/15 for the first game of the Beltway Series. I am an O's fan so this rivalry means something to me. I also really enjoyed the Nats giveaway that day. A hot dog hat. Normally I am underwhelmed by the Nats giveaways even as a baseball fan but this was the only one I really felt excited about. I sat in Club Level and I was a little shocked that no one in staff at the park was checking peoples tickets. They were letting anyone go up to club level which was an issue for several reasons. Problem #1: It was hot dog day and the food was $5 so the lines were absurdly long and there were people from the lower and upper levels going to CLUB LEVEL to get concessions. At Camden Yards the staff actually checks your tickets to seeing you're supposed to be at Club Level. That's what makes club level great the lines are smaller but the cost is that you don't get the specialty food options like on the lower level. The only person checking tickets at club level were the guys at the door if you were supposed to be in like Sections 206-210 Problem 2: Because no one was checking club level when entering there was issues with people sitting in my seat. Where was the usher in my section??? Idk he wasn't there and some jerk took my seat saying since I was wearing an O's jersey I didn't deserve that seat. I paid good money to sit in club level and not being able to sit in my seat was ridiculous. Additionally I was harassed by several Nats fans during my time at the park. To a point one of them stole my free giveaway hat because "you're not even a fan". I paid for the ticket and I waited ALMOST AN HOUR at the gate being one of the first people to enter the ballpark and to get my hat just taken from me was a slap in the face. I already filled out the survey with Nationals Park and requested that a staffer call me and I hope they do because of all the times I've been to Nats Park in my life I've never felt as disrespected as I did on my most recent visit. read more

So many memories here. My first game was back in 2009 when the ballpark was quite new, there were very few fans, and the team was bad. I'm a Cardinals fan first so have seen them play them in regular season and postseason often. In 2019 I enjoyed seeing them make history by sweeping the Cardinals in Game 4 of NLCS. I have been here for a Savanna Bananas game and have set anywhere from the upper decks, lower sidelines, first row behind dugout, PNC club, club level, suites to the outfield you name it (but not yet the Terra Club). The food and drink options are quite good there although beverages are pricier than most parks. Why do I rate this park 4 stars and not 5: layout is odd as some ADA sections require walking across a bridge to get to back of upper concourse, the view of Capitol has been obstructed, and most of all it lacks the strong character of other parks such as Fenway. read more

I really like this stadium. Coming from the NYC area home to Yankees stadium and citi field I find both overwhelming labyrinths that I have to take a deep breath before entering. Here, I feel smaller city comfort with a minor league stadium feel (not in a bad way, concessions are still very much MLB prices). My only gripes are if you sit under the scoreboard you can't see much else but the field and the bathrooms were a bit yucky. The employees are super friendly and helpful. read more

Normally when we have gone to Nats stadium it has been enjoyable, but our experience in our last visit was a bit unacceptable. This summer in DC has started and continued to be unbearable hot and so we opted for some club seats so we had access to AC should we get too hot and need a break inside. Well guess what the AC was broken. When we asked the employees who also looked to be extremely hot like the rest of us we were told the AC was broken for 3 prior home games and the stadium had done nothing to rectify the situation. Not even some type of industrial fan or portable AC! If paying for club seats and expecting AC the stadium has to do better for their fans and the employees. The prices for food have also gotten out of control and there isn't anything special about a burger or hotdog. I'm not sure we'll be back as often as the Orioles stadium is not too far from DC and offers the same items just for a different team. read more

When visiting the city during the MLB season, one should definitely make time to catch a game. The Nationals Park is conveniently located in Naval Yard. Getting here via the metro is super convenient. Onsite parking is available at the stadium. Tickets can be bought ahead of time online at MLB.com or at the onsite ticket box office. It is located adjacent to the center field gate. Tickets can be purchased there as early as 3 hours before first pitch. If you arrive early they usually have promo giveaways like bobble heads depending on the day. The concession stands are standard with no standouts. You are allowed to bring in food as long it is carried in your hands in an approved container. Overall the Nationals Park is a fantastic park to visit. read more

I was in town for Breezy Bowl... First the CON: Getting to Garage C was an absolute nightmare. There were various streets blocked and the traffic was ridiculous. Luckily, I stumbled on Nationals Park IG post that had important info. and purchased a parking pass in advance because there was permit parking only. The PROS: Once I parked, we were able to enter the stadium from the lower level of the garage. There was no line at (at the entrance from the garage) all at around 7:20pm. Once we entered, there was a gentleman with an "ask me" sign which I thought was good since I'm not familiar with the venue. There were a it of staff walking around to assist if needed. The restroom on the upper level was clean and had paper towels and tissue paper at the time I went in there. There were multiple vendors selling food and drinks as well as selling Chris Brown merchandise. read more

It's been a while since I've been to Nats stadium. I came most recently for the Saturday night Savannah bananas show which was a 10 out of 10 experience!! All baseball games should have dancing. I think the stadium itself is absolutely gorgeous. I love the views of the Potomac and of downtown DC. That being said, with the food and drink prices the way that they are, visiting the stadium for me is a once a year activity at most. I spent almost $100 on a burger, fries, a bottle of water, and a cocktail. I get that stadium prices are outside the norm but it really feels like the prices have gone through the roof in recent years. A decent venue for music and concerts. I attended a post-game summer concert, which was nice because they allowed visitors to sit closer to the stage if there were available seats! Great food options too, with good deals during baseball season. Beware that the Metro gets INSANE after games and concerts, but that's a given for any busy event in DC. I'll be attending their MCR concert next year, so curious to see how their organization is for an actual touring concert instead of a post-game summer series. read more

I have been wanting to check out this stadium for at least a year. Once the Orioles schedule came out and I was able to see the match up Orioles vs Nationals at the Nationals stadium I instantly had to put together a Family Field Trip as I call it. I purchased 2 rows of seats to accommodate my friends and family. The stadium is beautiful and accessible to public transportation which was great to avoid parking and traffic. Everyone had a great time. We were able to get decent ballpark food, great seats and take pictures with the mascot. I am really not a baseball fan but I do love great family experiences and we had just that. My only con was realizing you have to download the baseball app to redeem your tickets which takes some time to do when you are ready to enter the park. Next time prepare to do it before getting at the gate. There is also a bunch of restaurants outside the stadium to enjoy prior to game time. Unfortunately, the Orioles lost this game but, we won the next game the following night. Will definitely plan to visit again read more

Let's start with the bad- parking around the stadium sucks, so plan in advance. A lot of the street parking around the area is not available during game days. And parking garages are typically $30+ on game days. Things that I appreciated: -Staff was nice and helpful -The playground for kids is such a big hit, let's be honest- baseball games can be a little long and boring so this is a good break for kids. I like that they time in in 15 min increments so it doesn't get too crowded inside. - when we went they were giving free hotdogs, chips and water to kids, not sure if it's always the case but that was pretty neat. Attended the Rangers series at Nats Park. Stadium 23 for us. Tbh there isn't too much to say about the park. They isn't a lot of things to see around the stadium. They have the bobbleheads and some historical facts but no cool photos ops or anything really, there was a cherry blossom statue. We never even ended up checking out the upper concourses. Guest Services have first time certificates and buttons. If you buy your ticket from the box office you'll get a paper ticket but they aren't able to convert online to paper tickets. They sold commemorative tickets for $5 not sure what they looked like. Food wise - get the Half Smoke from Bens Chilli , the dogs as Haute Dog were pretty good as well. The ice cream with a chocolate chip cookie was pretty good too. One set of our tickets included a $15 food and drink credit on them, which was an unexpected bonus. Just scan your tickets at the concessions to redeem your credits. Didn't work with the beer vendors in the seats though unfortunately. Get $5 buds before 1st pitch at the Bud Terrace, in outfield. Sunday was a rain delay and they didn't continue to sell the beers discounted after the scheduled 1st pitch time. Game was delayed 90mins and last call was called during the 4th or 5th inning and all the concessions didn't stay open either. Taking the metro to the stadium is easy, a lot of choices of bars to pre/post game, most places on Half St will automatically add 20% tip. Friday was the summer concert series which was pretty cool. Haven't done a post concert like that at a ballpark before. They did continue to sell beer later for that night. 3rd base is your best bet for shade. Saturdays game was still pretty warm even in the shade. You can meet the Presidents at the 5th inning in section 133. read more

This ball park is really nice from the outside of the building to the great seating views. The crowd in this stadium was very live and into the game. I also got a chance to walk around inside the stadium to see nice memorabilia and some statues about the team's history. The food and drinks were very expensive like any other ballpark. We are HUGE baseball fans and we travel around checking out various MLB and Minor League Stadiums. I'll go right out of the gate why I went with 4 stars. $50 to park is a little insane. I know, I know, i could park a mile away and pay $12. No way I'm dragging my family a mile to and from the stadium after driving 4 hours. Stadium experience was great. Everything was very clean. Bathrooms were clean. Great food variety. Staff was helpful and the environment was great to watch a ball game. We had the Korean Corn Dogs from S'Songs which were excellent. Then had a smash burger from one of the concession stands which was equally as good. For our traditional 7th inning stretch ice cream, we went to one of the vendors that advertised milk from "grass fed cows" and only chocolate ice cream available.... and no raspberry sauce (as advertised). On a chilly day in April? What happens in July? Which also contributes to the loss of a star. That can't happen, especially against a big match up like the Nationals / Mets. All in all, a great stadium to watch a game. Very good food variety. Parking can be rough. read more

I used to live in the Navy Yard and would attend Nats games often. I recently attended the Breezy Bowl and had a good experience. I learned from experience not to park on site. I booked a garage 3 blocks away and had a relatively easy entrance and exit. The stadium is clean and has a variety food options. I have sat everywhere in the stadium at one point or another and there really is no bad seat in the stadium. Now for Breezy Bowl we had floor seats. Regarding the floor seats in this venue for a concert, if you can't be in the first five rows on the floor, then I would suggest moving up to the 100 level for a better view. There was no line and no wait for VIP. The staff were friendly and helpful. The sound was excellent. I highly recommend. read more

I'm not the biggest baseball fan but I do go on occasion with friends and it's always a treat. National Park is one of the nicer stadiums in my opinion and I've been to a few in the Mid-Atlantic region. Very easy to navigate and to get into the stadium. And It's fairly clean for the most part. There are good number of varieties of food choices. You've got the typical hot dogs and fries vendors and the more unique ones like Korean corn dogs. Prices are astronomical but you've got to expect that at sporting events. I highly reccommend taking the metro into Navy Yard as the parking is limited and VERY expensive. I went to the April 16, 2025 game against the Mets and paid $50 to park! We lost the game against the Mets but a good time was had. I can't wait for the next game I go see at Nats Park! read more

I've been to Nats Park a handful of times for games and concerts. It's a good venue - I've always enjoyed my time here. Pros: - The stadium is metro accessible - a short and easy walk from the Navy Yard metro (green line) - Great food options both inside and outside the stadium. Inside, they have a lot of food vendor stands like Shake Shack, Roaming Rooster, Swizzler, Ben's Chili Bowl, Rockland's BBQ, Ssongs Korean Corn Dogs, and Arepa Zone... to name a few! There's also the typical concessions (hot dog, fries, pretzels, popcorn, chicken tenders, nachos, ice cream, etc.). If the line for typical concessions is too long, keep walking and find a shorter line - they're located all around the stadium and on different levels - Free WiFi works great! Sometimes, in a large crowd, your phone doesn't want to work, data is slow, etc. I've been able to connect to the WiFi easily and reliably here - Bags are allowed, as long as they are CLEAR (or small clutches). Note: Backpacks of any kind (even clear) are NOT allowed - Small snacks and water bottles are allowed (this allows you to save money so you don't have to spend it on pricey concessions) - Stadium is easy to navigate and walk around to find food, restrooms, water fill stations, etc. There are also staff members wearing shirts that say "Ask me anything" who are willing to assist. There's also fun displays on the walls of concert posters of previous performers, Nats memorabilia, etc. - Lots of covered areas and standing areas to take in the stadium and hang out away from your seats - I went during a rainy game, and once the weather cleared up, the ushers offered to wipe down the seat for you Cons: - Crowd control can be an issue sometimes. Long lines will form before gates open, especially for popular events. Plan accordingly. - City traffic always stinks - I highly recommend taking the metro. - This is a baseball stadium, not a concert arena. Sound at concerts can be weird, depending on where your seat is. I've heard crazy echoing and laggy sound at concerts in this venue before. - Netting stays up during concerts, which is minor, but a slightly annoying obstruction. - Restrooms are dated, but there are plenty of stalls; supplies have also been fully stocked when I go use the facilities Go Nats! read more

I have to give kudos to Nationals Park Security for the Chris Brown Breezy Bowl Concert. They did an amazing job keeping the crowd orderly and safe. They kept everyone in the seat that they paid for and if fans moved closer to the stage, staff escorted them back to their seat quickly and quietly. This made for the ultimate concert going experience. We could enjoy the amazing show without drama, confusion, frustration and complications. Entry into the venue was crowded but that was to be expected for a 3-Night Sold Out event. Once we were guided into the appropriate locations for entry and made it through bag check, inside traffic moved smoothly. Great job! read more

The park was cool easy to navigate but was hard to get to given it is in Washington DC. I went to see a concert there on the same day there was a hockey match at capital one arena on a Friday it was a shit show to get too. The traffic to get to the park was crazy!!!! I should have alotted more than the 2 hours I did. There is lots to do around the park. The bar venue in the park were very slow. They need to set up their products differently so they are moving to much. Maybe they need to get someone to take the orders and then make the drinks. Food vendors were good. We're Yankees fans, and the Yankees won. Positive experience. Ticket prices for great seats were more reasonable than what we were used to at Yankee Stadium. Positive experience. And that's where the positivity ends. Concessions were WILDLY expensive. Staff was blasé, as if they were in a deliberate work slow down. Terrible attitudes. Unfriendly. Lazy. Indifferent from the people outside doing a terrible job directly traffic to the people working concessions who could not be bothered to smile and say thank you. The guys selling beers in the stands hustled. But the concessions inside were run by an organized union of the lazy and unpleasant. Nats Stadium post-game offers--what would it take for you to come back?--met with some scorn. I'll come back as soon as I get a refund on the food and drink. Do yourself a favor and do not buy food and beverages inside, and you might get out of the ballpark for less than $500. read more

I've never felt to pushed up against other people when walking around for food, compared to the Orioles Stadium. Going through security is pretty quick and easy.
