It is conveniently located right next to the baggage claim on the lower floor. Upon arrival to the lounge I could not help but notice how clean the facility was. As with all USO lounges most of the staff is volunteers. This lounge is available for active duty servicemembers, retirees, national guard and reserve members, and their dependents.

You know, 15 minutes to get to a terminal on the completely opposite side from where you've just landed. That goes for any airport though, doesn't it? I give three-stars because though we never had any issues, there isn't anything spectacular that warrants more than an "ok/good" rating. Also, on that note, sometimes employees aren't very good at giving directions. Other than that, it is a lovely piece of architecture and it's clean. So, yay.

There is plenty of parking at various stages- from the daily lot right by the terminal to the economy lot with fairly affordable parking and frequent buses. Getting through security is relatively straight forward. But then comes the fun part- do you get to take the train to the A. B or C gates? Do you end up in the tiny cramped A commuter gate terminal? Do you end up in the very convenient and easy to access Z gates? Or do you end up in the D terminal cramped like cattle into an ancient people mover? Honestly, if you do end up in D and its not from an international flight, just walk down to C and get on the train. There are lots of food options as long as you don't end up in the A commuter terminal. The one really confusing thing for people is getting out of the airport. there are multiple levels to exit between the arrivals area, the departures area and the taxi/ ride share/ bus parking area. You really need to watch the signage.

The welcoming front desk advised us to find seating in the section behind the elevators, which featured a huge fireplace, a living room-like atmosphere, and huge floor to ceiling windows looking out over the airport. On this side, there was a fridge with some fruit and yogurts, plus a drink counter with sparkling water taps, teas, and coffees. On the other side is the bar, bathrooms, more seating areas but mostly tables and chairs, and the food. So we walked back and forth from each section, but preferred that to being in the busier part. We found 4 comfortable chairs facing each other and ended up at times sitting on the rug in between playing board games. The bathrooms were pristine, and my kids loved the cherry blossom display next to the door. The food was ample, with fixing to make sandwiches with, plus soups, and lots of other items to snack on, plus granola and nut mixes, brownies and cake bites, and a coke machine that had so many options! Plus, the handmade guacamole station- the guacamole was delicious and my kids loved it. So yesterday to show my pride I stopped in for a cup of coffee at the USO at BWI airport. Of course I was going to give a little extra to help those worse off than me. I told the lady I didn't see where I would sign and she said just put your name down and we would figure it out. So I did. The lady then said show me your ID and I proudly pulled out my Drivers License from NV that shows I'm a Veteran. She said oh we don't take licenses. I said it shows that I'm a VETERAN right here. She said no I cannot accept this. She said if you have a DAV ID then you can come in. I could have shown my CAC to show that I was a Government contractor but I accepted her rejection like many veterans around the US does. For the first time in my life I finally see what our veterans struggle with just because I wanted a coffee.

The Admiral's Club near the C Gates at DCA has become my go-to lounge whenever I'm flying American…read more The biggest perk for us is that they allow pets, unlike the American Express Lounge. Since we travel with our cats, the smaller side rooms away from the main seating area are a huge plus. They give us a quieter, semi-private space with less commotion, which helps keep the cats calm before a flight. The lounge has all the basics you'd want: coffee machines, drip coffee, a cereal station, continental breakfast options, and a hot food station. The food quality is decent for an airport lounge, and the staff does a good job keeping everything stocked and clean even during busy times. There are also plenty of outlets for charging devices, the Wi-Fi is reliable, and the bathrooms are consistently clean. The only downside is that this lounge feels a little dated compared to the newer Admirals Club at the E Gates. Still, the pet-friendly atmosphere and quieter layout keep us coming back.

When I Switched my cell phone from Airplane mode the Drivers voice was right there confirming that he was Already at the Airport to greet and meet us. The ride home was relaxing and the conversation was enjoyable, he caught us up on the news from my local city while we were away for five days. My grandson accidentally left his favorite stuffed animal in the car and the driver found it before we had the chance to miss it and rung my doorbell to return it to us... Representative A appeared to be very customer service oriented and offered to met me at an alternate location so I could examine the vehicle that would be used. I arrived at the location and it was an office building. I tried to contact Representative A with no luck. I then went into the building to see if the company was listed on the directory and to ask if anyone had heard of Freddy Go2. Again, no luck. I tried the customer service number for Freddy Go2 and eventually received a call back from Representative B. She said that Representative A had called in sick that morning but had asked that someone contact me to cancel the appointment. Representative B stated that she would find out what happened and call me back in 15 minutes. I had not heard from Representative B 4 hours later so I called back and was told that she was glad that I called because she had been unable to reach me. Really????? She said that Representative A was really upset that no one had contacted me and that she would be willing to meet me with a vehicle rather than having me come back out. I was to expect a call the following day when she returned to the office. After waiting 3 days and not receiving a call, I called back and spoke to Representative B. She said that Representative A was due back in the office that afternoon for the first time that week and would definitely be giving me a call. That was 4 days ago!!! I'm glad that this happened BEFORE I paid my deposit. Please imagine 15 people with luggage trying to make last minute arrangements at 5:00 am to get to the airport because the shuttle did not show up.
