Small coffee spot over here in a plaza at West Gray and Montrose. They have a few coffee and speciality drink options as well as pastries (that they say are made in-house). Nice to have lowkey chill spots that aren't corporate chains.
Cute spot! i had the fireside chat and it was good, not overly sweet & came with a marshmellow on top. I also tried the sourdough english muffin with earl grey spread- as a huge fan of earl grey this was soo delicious! it also came with pineapple jam, very fresh and fruity.
Nice spot!! I appreciate the parking lot in Montrose. Beautiful space with windows and tables. The coffee options are plentiful- enjoyed my iced flat white, nothing fancy but hit the spot. The tacos are tasty, a little pricey ($4-5 for one) but delish and the staff is very nice!
Nut allergy friendly: They do have pistachio and other flavors in baked goods, but most are toppings. I mentioned it when I ordered my croissant and they said they're very good about allergies. Parking situation: Pretty rough, there's parking behind it but it shares with several stores and when it's around brunch time, it can get difficult. I arrived at 11:20AM and there was a line of about 10 people in front of me. You can also order pickup via inKind. I got to the counter at 11:30AM and received my order at 11:36AM, so their service is pretty quick even with a full house. Note that their tacos only go until 11AM, they swap to a lunch menu afterwards. I got a warmed croissant and the Fireside Chat, hot, +$1 for a large size. The croissant was nice and flaky, a great breakfast treat. A bit pricey though. The Fireside Chat came with a cute toasted marshmallow and the nice salty vanilla notes really do remind you of sitting by a bonfire. I paid via inKind in person with no issues. Just ask for the check number.
The cafe was super cute and the seating area, although small, was super cozy. The coffee was sooo delicious and strong! The service was super nice and very fast! Cannot wait to come back and try a different flavor!
Unfortunately I have to update that Della is no longer my go to. I'm not sure what's changed in the last year but I've tried about 3 different times now and the coffee does not taste the same. It almost has a peculiar taste. Bummer.
Private parking lot in the back. Vibes are great and decor is nice! Has a small conference room and ample seating in a small space. Service was super friendly The chorizo taco was good and made with sourdough tortilla. The vanilla latte with pistachio milk was different. The pistachio milk had a lot of complex flavors that were deeper and nuttier than other pistachio milks I've tried. You can tell they make it in house.
Cute spot, friendly service. The guava croissant is 10/10!!! So yummy and a must. Had the flat white flavored coffee it was good just not spiced to my liking. A little pricey for the size though
Great little spot for a quick breakfast or to work for a bit! The food was delicious! We ordered their Roses taco and the veggie taco. The customer service was on point! Cashier was kind and energetic. Food came out quickly! We also ordered the sourdough banana bread. It was perfect! Not too sweet. The only thing with the banana bread is that it has chocolate chips. I usually don't like chocolate in my banana bread but I didn't mind it too much here. This is a small joint so it can get full pretty quickly. My husband and I sat at a high top and it had outlets so you can plug in if you need to. I also noticed there was a conference room you can rent which is pretty cool. Not sure if it's for a fee or what. If not reserved, anyone can sit in there. I would totally come back again because the pastry selection seems so good! I need to try more of their items in the future. I found this gem through the InKind app which if you haven't heard of it I would totally recommend! If you message me I can send you a referral and you get $25 gift! You can also buy gift cards at a discount through Costco and their app. This has saved so much money for us! Happy eating!
Can I give them 10 stars?! Wow! How had I not been here before? I came on a Saturday morning and even though it was busy, I didn't have to wait long. They have free parking in the back of the building which is always a plus. When you walk in, you place your order and then find a table. It's a small but cute and cozy coffee shop. There are so many great options and they even have a seasonal coffee menu. I ordered the Fireside Chat coffee with maple, vanilla, smoked sea salt and toasted marshmallow and it was SO FREAKING GOOD! I also ordered the BEC (sourdough english muffin, bacon, egg, havarti cheese, avocado spread, arugula, pickled onions, pickled mustard seeds) and again, SO FREAKING GOOD! Service was good and everyone is very nice. Needless to say, I will be back!
It's a nice cafe. Great light. Plenty of tables, including a large closed off table and room. Our drinks were great. They came out fast too. No issue there. I wish the banana bread had an accurate label that said it had chocolate in it so I wouldn't be surprised when it came out, but other than that no issues. It's clean. Staff is friendly.
Preface: I ordered an iced lavender latte and definitely received what I think is an iced vanilla latte but because the drink I received isn't bad, I will just write a review based on that and not take into account that they messed up my order... :D For an iced vanilla latte, the drink is pretty good - not too sweet and has a toasty vibe. It appears their standard size is a 12 oz which i feel is smaller than usual (to me a standard is 16 oz) but their pricing is the same as other coffee shops so maybe not as much of a deal in that sense. There's a parking a lot in the back which is super convenient. At 8 in the morning there were a few parties either hanging out or working. Another thing to note - not sure if my cup was faulty or what but the cap was very prone to popping off if I held my cup near the top. Not something I experience with other coffee shops At this point I'd probably give Della a 3.5-4
OMG!! one of the BEST lattes and sandwiches i have ever had, so serious. From the moment I walked in, staff was so friendly and welcoming. You can tell they are all so genuine and care about not only their customers but staff as well. My friend and I loved everything about this place from the cute decor and setting to the yummy flavors of our food and coffees! I will be back to try more!

Della, Damn Good Tacos! Ok I got the Roses and Chorizo and they are just damn amazing with their hot and fluffy and chewy sourdough freshly made tacos - oh yummy in my tummy. Gourmet with two different salsas and I just wolfed them down. Service is friendly and I tried the Chai Latte with oat milk and it was good, a little light with the flavor and luckily not too sweet. Two clean bathrooms and a closed group room. Ambience is sexy and way too cool for me to be sitting here. I just feel relaxed but also jazzed up, the music selection is rocking. It's an intimate cafe with some outlets and cool art from Archway gallery. Prices I feel are reasonable for such amazing breakfast tacos, I dare say the best in Houston I have had!!! Small parking lot. Avoid the school hours because it took longer than expected to get here this morning, but totally worth it. Highly recommended! I see a bunch of regulars here. read more

This coffee shop is really pretty with the natural light, and bits of art around. The matcha was really dull and watery, lacking in a lot of ways. I wouldn't order it again. The avocado toast was so good! I am not a goat cheese fan so I took that off but otherwise it was really good. The garlic oil was really flavorful, nice about of spice, avocado wasn't too hot like it had been sitting out for a while and not ice cold from the refrigerator. Perfect crunch on the sour dough! Definitely a fan. I'd try their espresso lattes next time. read more

I decided to try Della Coffee yesterday since it's close to my place and is new, let me just say that I will 100% be back!! This coffee shop is so cute and located in montrose, so it's nice to try new coffee shops in the area! I got an iced chai with oat milk and it was absolutely delicious! The flavor was spot on! They also had pastries and a food menu that looked really good too. The service was really good, once I ordered I got my drink within a few minutes and they delivered it to my table which was really nice. This is a great spot to work from home or catch up with friends. The music they were playing was just amazing, I could really vibe while I worked! One thing I will say, is that if you're working make sure your laptop is fully charged. I only saw one wall outlet and there were outlets on the bar seating. But if you want to sit at a middle table bring your laptop charged. Also bring a jacket, I was chilly! Overall, I had a GREAT experience and I will be back! read more
This place reminds me of a health conscious cafe with good lattes. The place does have a variety of coffee/latte options. One thing I do like is that this place does have plant based milk options. I got a matcha latte with oat mill iced and it was amazing. I got vanilla syrup added to it and made the drink taste even better. Definitely refreshing drink to have if you're coming from the gym or doing a self care day. Della cafe in a sense does mimic a vegan like Starbucks spot. I ordered the iced matcha latte with strawberry milk and this was a very yummy and refreshing version of matcha. As I was ordering I expressed my concerns of whether or not the matcha flavor would become over powered and the drink would end up tasting like strawberry milk as this tends to occur with strawberry purée in matcha. The lady at the register was so kind and suggested I try it and if I didn't like it would be willing to change it for me. I ended up liking it but the customer service was so great. The ambiance inside was very cute and I could definitely see myself coming here to study or do work. Plenty of parking in the back as well as that was one of my concerns with it being in downtown. read more

I am so glad that I finally got to try this place! I actually came here on my birthday a couple weeks ago and studied for my NCLEX (nurse board exam). I got an iced matcha latte and 2 breakfast tacos (Roses and Bubba). When my food and drink was ready, it was brought to my table so I thought that was very nice. Since I went around 10-11am, the inside was peaceful and quiet and a great environment to get some work done. The matcha latte was really good and not too sweet. As for the tacos, I enjoyed both but my favorite was definitely the Roses taco! I typically don't like bacon but the black bean taco with both red and green salsas had so much flavor! I would have definitely gotten 2 of the same tacos. The Bubba taco was also good! I do wish that it had a little more flavor in the eggs but it was still good. I was able to get a lot of studying done and the place didn't get busy until around 3-4pm when I left. Highly recommend this place for your next study/work spot! Wanted to try a new coffee spot, and Della did not disappoint! I enjoyed their salted mocha with housemade pistachio milk. The barista was very helpful to assist our choosing options. I also tried a breakfast taco that was pretty tasty. There is a glass-door conference room that can be rented on their website. It has a large TV monitor that you can connect to, also. The shop also features local artists' artwork on the walls that is also for sale. Easy parking on a Sunday morning; little to no line. read more

Vibe- This is a nice new coffee shop in Montrose with the cutest interior! It's so calming and relaxing. It's named after the owners daughter and it definitely gives a community vibe. Customer service-Great! Food/drinks- I had a matcha with oat milk and lavender and a chai latte with oatmilk; the chai was my favorite out of the two Parking- There's a lot with a decent amount of spots behind the building. read more

A hidden gem indeed! Found this place by chance and Apple Maps in my favor. Stopped in one morning to meet a girlfriend and test waters to see if it passed my "Remote Work Test" and it very much did! Baristas are literally so amazing and hilarious! I cannot say no to them call me gullible but they are the sweetest ever.. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and chorizo taco. Now, I will say I am on the sweeter side of coffee girlies BUT, they made this PERFECT! It was the perfect balance between strong and sweet. Their chorizo taco was to. die. for. Ugh! So good.. After a few hours passed, I ordered a lemon cake and dude! They cannot get anything wrong!? The hold this place has on me. Okay now for the ambiance.. it was an early morning rush so I cannot blame the noise. But, it was quiet enough to be able to hear the person in front of you. Everyone is in their own bubble. I worked from this shop from 9am - 2pm and all my calls went surprisingly smooth. The people on the other end didn't seem to be bothered by the additional noise. It is a smaller shop so you can expect it to get a bit nosey, but we live in Houston for Christs sake, you'll live. They do have a smaller conference room available to book on their website, which is deal for group zoom calls and meetings of course. read more

If you are looking for yummy coffee and food in the heights, go to della coffee!!! I am a big almond milk drinker, but the pistachio milk was a nice switch up. I'm also a BIG sourdough fan and this place has so many great sourdough options. I tried the muffin and it was 10/10, I need to come back and try more of the food. The workers were so friendly and the environment was so positive. I will say this is more of a hangout spot (not good for working) and there i limited seating/parking. read more

I loved it all! My latte and sandwich were both phenomenal! The service was incredible and I loved the atmosphere. I came in to get some work done and the space was perfect for studying. They even have a small private room and little odds and ends for sale. read more

This place is absolutely gorgeous. It's a great neighborhood study spot, and they even have a private meeting room. The staff was so enthusiastic, and gave me a run down of what they serve. I ordered a matcha latte and their employee suggested I try their house-made pistachio milk. I did and it was incredible. Della's is a sweet little gem in Montrose! read more

I popped in here this morning around 10am after a friend recommended it. This is located right next to Wharton dual language school and my friend told me that Della Coffee supports both Wharton and the neighborhood little league (Neartown Little League). The customer service could not have been friendlier! The place is clean, bright and cute. I had a latte, the English muffin with earl grey butter and the bubba taco. Ok place as far as atmosphere. I wanted a grown up cup of coffee. What I got was a watery strange flavored cup of coffeeish hot water. I simply could not drink it. Rare for me but I truly could not. Service is friendly and with all the fun flavors it will likely be popular with new montrose young people. 2 non dairy options are oat milk and pistachio oat milk. New favorite coffee shop in Houston! First of all, a coffee shop that serves delicious craft coffee AND has a killer food menu is hard to come by. I love meeting up with friends here or going by myself to get work done. The staff is awesome and make you feel like you're at home!
