During my visit, I felt dismissed, and the chart included information I did not provide. That is unacceptable in any medical setting. I had a very disappointing experience with this physician. During my appointment, I felt completely unheard. I tried to explain my symptoms and concerns, but I was repeatedly interrupted and dismissed before I could fully describe what was going on. It felt rushed and impersonal. What concerns me most is that when I later reviewed the visit notes, there were statements documented that I never said and very misleading. The notes included symptoms I did not report and omitted key concerns I clearly expressed. Accurate documentation is a basic and critical part of medical care, and seeing incorrect information in my chart was both frustrating and alarming. Good healthcare starts with listening. Unfortunately, I did not feel respected, taken seriously, or accurately represented. I hope this feedback encourages more attentive, patient-centered care in the future.

My experience during an OWCP second opinion evaluation with Dr. Welborn was extremely disappointing…read moreand left me with serious concerns about the thoroughness and accuracy of the examination. I arrived prepared with medical records, imaging history, surgical information, restrictions, and documentation regarding bilateral hip injuries and recovery. I attempted to explain the chronology of my injury progression, compensation history, surgeries, rehabilitation delays, and ongoing limitations. I did not feel those concerns were meaningfully considered. Several statements and conclusions in the final report do not reflect what I reported during the examination and I dispute them. The report also contained conclusions regarding restrictions and work capacity that conflict with my treating providers and ongoing rehabilitation status. I was especially concerned by findings suggesting no left hip restrictions despite continued recovery, bilateral rehabilitation issues, and ongoing treatment. The examination felt rushed, and I left feeling that conclusions had already been formed before my full history and records were considered. Patients deserve a careful review, an opportunity to explain their condition, and an evaluation that accurately reflects what occurred during the appointment. This was one of the most frustrating medical evaluation experiences I have had. AVOID this Doctor at all cost. He is arrogant and unprofessional. His examination of my hips left me with pain and discomfort from aggressively manipulating my leg for his FADIR test. My treating surgeon Dr. Sean Robinson is very respected in his profession with only 5 star reviews. He is hands down an outstanding surgeon who is very knowledgeable. It's unfortunate Dr. Welborn made in visit comments like "The surgeries don't seem successful if you still have pain" or "I would've been disappointed if I were you." His report to deny my consequential injury is false, inaccurate and misleading. I don't know if he is contracted to deny cases but this is outright negligent.

"Dr. Mac" as his patients jokingly refer to him is on auto pilot. He missed every sign and symptom…read morethat my mom was having serious coronary problems...chest pain, radiating pain, Shortness of breath. I am also a healthcare provider and was with my mom when she told him of these symptoms...he called it "stress and anxiety" and diagnosed Valume!!! He had her walk once around the office ...50 feet at best to check her O2 sat...it was in the mid 80's...his solution was to order home oxegen...that would have taken 7 days to get...she couldn't breath!!!! We ended up by passing him and going to a specialist the next day...he admitted my mom to the hospital that day...she passed 10 days later. If you love your parents, aunts, uncles...DO NOT go to this Dr. He is charming...and that is about it... During one of my mom's last visits to him...the elevator was broken again...not only did my short of breath mother have to climb to the second floor...but there was an elderly woman trapped inside the elevator!!! And Mac...if you read this ...my mother was Mary Anne J. Your pt of over 15 years...not one word of condolence from your lame, unhelpful office...Glad we got my Aunt away from you...by the way...you mis-diagnosed her as well..not altzimers... He is bright, interested and competent. If there is ever a problem with his delivery of medical care, I am confident it will not be from lack of concern or lack of ability.
