Hopefully, a new Halal chicken/Gyro over rice restaurant opens in the Shirley, Mastic area, as our options are quite limited. We definitely need some new locations. How can a child eat all the chicken in one sitting? It's astonishing, but it confirms the fact that the ratio of meat to rice/bread is not up to par compared to industry standards. First, they said the place was quiet and not crowded but the staff looked busy, continuously making food. Hubs also said the place looked very clean. My mixed chicken/lamb over rice was delish. The white sauce was very flavorful and they gave you ample meat and sauce (I did ask for extra white sauce because you should always ask for extra). Another extra was the warm pita but all in all 30 dollars for two platters (guys paid separately) isn't terrible these days. Ordering online was super easy through their website.
