Getting two stars because it was pretty in there…read more We were so excited to get a variety. It was a little weird she packed it to go without even asking but whatever. We got 3 cake slices; 1 bar; pack of marshmallow 'icecream' cones. Got home - after dinner we had a little taste testing. So disappointed. We got Earl Grey Lemon cake Strawberry & Lychee cake Orange creamsicle cake Cookie brownie bar thing Pack of the marshmallow ice cream cones. They were all so bad. So so so disappointed. We were so excited for it. All of them were overly sweet and the icing all tasted the same and tasted bad. The earl grey was just lemon flavoured but fake lemon Pretty sure the strawberry and lychee cake has never even seen a lychee or strawberry or cake. Orange creamsicle was sickly sweet but fake tasting. The brownie bar thing was ~ok~ but fake tasting. The marshmallow ice cream cones. Oh my god. So stale I could barely bite into it; my young adult son who is still pretty much a garbage disposal couldn't even eat it. To quote him "it tastes like sawdust - but cheap wood sawdust". The flowers on the cake were so gross we actually spat them out. We threw it away. But we now understand why she didn't give us the option to eat in the place. I know it's just dessert but I was beyond excited to find a cake that had lychee in it. :( Don't go.

This review is based only on the tiramisu cake box that I got. I was quite disappointed by the…read moretaste of the tiramisu, pretty much 65% of the tiramisu cake box was cream and I couldn't taste the tiramisu at all. But on to some positives, super welcoming staff behind the counter and loved the esthetics of the cafe. So many pretty walls to take photos, however the decor didn't quite make up for the cake taste.

Like so many others, after binging Is It Cake? (the holiday series was just released!), I knew I…read morehad to pay Mann & Co Bakeshop a visit. This bakery is cute! I was in love with the welcoming ambiance. There's a fridge with cakes to go, and the treat window was filled with sweet goodies to stock up on. There's not much of a seating area--just two armchairs--so it's more of a takeaway spot. We purchased cake trifles (Red Velvet & Cardamom), stuffed cookies (Lotus Biscoff & Cardamom Pistachio Chai), and sweet spot cakes (Mango Lassi & Kulfi) to go. Everything was delicious! The cookies weren't overly sweet and had the perfect chewy texture. My favorite was the Cardamom Pistachio Chai. Unfortunately, our visit happened to be during the heavy winds when most of the Lower Mainland had a power outage. I was so happy they were still open, as we had driven all the way from East Van to get there. They were flexible enough to take e-transfer as payment, which was a lifesaver. And lucky for us, we got to meet the man behind the bakery, Jujhar! Even though he was busy dealing with the power outage, he still took the time to say hello, which was really nice. I wish they were closer, but maybe it's a blessing in disguise because my wallet and waistline would definitely be in trouble. Overall, Mann & Co Bakeshop is absolutely worth the visit, even with a bit of a drive. The creative flavors, high-quality treats, and friendly service make it a standout spot for baked goods. I'll definitely be back (probably sooner than I should) to try more of their unique creations. If you're a fan of Is It Cake? or just love a good dessert adventure, this place should be on your list!
