One of the Worst Dining Experiences - Disappointing on Every Level I had high expectations for Delilah, but this dinner was a complete letdown from start to finish. First red flag: the waiter insisted we place both our appetizer and main course orders the moment we sat down--not exactly the welcoming or relaxed start you'd expect from a so-called fine dining spot. Prices are sky-high, but sadly, the quality is rock-bottom. We ordered the Hiram's Ceviche ($33), and what arrived was no more than two or three tiny bites--not a proper appetizer by any standard. For my main, I initially wanted the Roasted Rack of Lamb, but shockingly, they were already out of it... on a Saturday night at 8:30pm, during prime dinner hours. Left with limited options, I settled for the Roasted Branzino ($64)--a total disaster. The fish was overcooked, dry, and far too salty. The sun-dried tomato chimichurri tasted like something straight out of a jar from the supermarket shelf, not a fresh house-made sauce. We also asked for a bottle of Verdejo wine, only to be told they had exactly two bottles--both priced at $96. The waiter conveniently tried to upsell us on a much more expensive alternative instead. For dessert, I ordered the Tropical Baked Alaska ($29). After waiting forever, I finally canceled it when I realized they planned to just drop it at the table without the signature table-side presentation that makes a Baked Alaska worth ordering in the first place. In short: overpriced, poor food quality, terrible service, and absolutely no sense of proper fine dining execution. This isn't even late-night diner quality, let alone "luxury" dining. Ambience is nice. Outside patio is gorgeous and just as nice inside. The food.... We only had the carpaccio and octopus and then decided to go elsewhere for better food. The octopus was chewy and not flavorful, very bland. The carpaccio was decent but I've had better. My drink wasn't all that more Prosecco in the Jojo than anything else. Old fashion was watered down BUT the espresso martini was delicious!!!! Possibly the best espresso martini I've ever had. Also we got charged an entertainment fee even tho we never saw an entertainment because we came in early at 6pm when the entertainment and live band is NOT performing. This is my new favorite restaurant in Miami. The atmosphere and all of the staff are incredible very friendly outgoing everyone that works there greets you on your way in and out. We sat for an 8 o'clock dinner and enjoy the music and dancing. The live band was such a treat with an incredible singer. We didn't expect much from food based on past reviews, but we were literally blown away. They serve the best seafood I've had in Miami and Bronzino had incredible taste. There are so many people in here and the atmospheres full of such great energy. Everyone dressed and behaving well like a true 1920 supper club. I even enjoyed that valet parking and the entrance was kind of tucked away and private. Picture perfect spot for a date night or dinner with your friends from out of town. The concept here is fantastic. I love deco, I love jazz, I love great food and vintage-inspired cocktails. But save a Delilah's experience for a trip to Vegas where they have the concept AND can execute it. The Miami location is like an art student copy of a Renoir--maybe all the elements are there, but the quality is amateur at best. What failed worst was the service. It had the pretentiousness and inattentiveness of the hottest Miami club on a Saturday night--except this was on a school night, so to speak, with maybe half the tables sitting empty. I've frankly had more skilled service at your average Chilis. Empty drinks routinely sat unattended to, dishes lingered long after they were finished, mixups were made at what seemed like every turn. Chock it up to growing pains? Yet, plan to get hit with a 20% service charge at the bar and 18% for dinner. It makes it easier but also seems to lower the incentive of the servers that served our table. The food is really hit or miss. To be candid, this was the only time I can think of where I looked over a menu and was uninspired. Nostalgic kid foods like burgers, pigs-in-a-blanket, and chicken tenders were all mid--fine, but again, probably better at a Chili's. The steaks, scallops, and salads were excellent. Cocktails on their menu were interesting, but ridiculously weak and overly sweet. Desserts, too, were overly sweet. The carrot soufflé was a hit, but more desert than side dish. Fries were fine but a small cup will run you $18 and still gave McDonalds vibes. The musicians were good, the singer was fine but not great, and the dancers had gorgeous deco-inspired sequin dresses that fit the aesthetic but as dancers were boring and amateurish. It was a vast departure from the entertainment experience in their Vegas location. Big pro: no photos allowed. It was a nice change of pace to have everyone at our table focused on the experience rather than glued to their phone. Would I go back? Not to the Miami location but yes to another location. read more

Delilah has become "THE" must-go restaurant in Miami. A supper club with a 1920's vibe, waterside in Downtown Miami. Decor is impeccable. Live band playing jazz and R & B during dinner. Turns into a dance club after 10:30 PM. NO PHOTOS allowed...not even of your food. Clientelle is upscale...celebrities...sports stars...socialites, Miami professionals, trendsetters, influencers etc. Make your reservations now and you will be lucky to get in sometime in the next two months. On a scale from 1-5 stars, I rate Ambiance 5, Service 5, Food 5. It is the perfect Miami spot and will inevitably become the most sought after dinner spot in the city. We started with French Martini's and then enjoyed caviar service for two (Golden Goat Kaluga Grand Cru limited edition) followed by Alaskan King Crab legs, varied appetizers and a sinful chocolate dessert with champagne. I was really excited to try Delilah as I had been to several of their other locations. The atmosphere was very much a Las Vegas Casino vibe. Our reservation was at 7 and live music started at 8 which was great entertainment. Now on to all the negatives... first off there are no pictures allowed so I can't even post any pictures of the food (which was decent). Then food comes out one second after you order which means it must be premade. We felt very rushed to get out of there. They must have a competition to see which server can get their table turned the quickest and I think our server won! At the end of dinner two of our friends had their napkins in their hands and a server forcefully removed it out of their hands as a strong hint to leave. The entrees came out as our appetizers were still on the table and they were trying to remove plates we were still eating off of. The grand finale of the whole experience was when we got the check we were charged $2 for each large ice cube we had even when the drink included it. Never thought I would be charge $2 for frozen sink water. Had I known, I would have ordered small ice cubes. When we took a picture of the receipt we were reprimanded. Don't worry I took the receipt home for you all to see these ridiculous charges. Unfortunately this place did not come close to living up to expectations as you can see it is not cheap for 4 people and was a very lackluster, disappointing experience. I've been going to Delilah every weekend since it always ends up being a great time. The location is a little hidden, but once you find it you're set! The staff is always kind from the hostesses at the front to the managers. Friday night they have a late night DJ and the bar is always packed, but a good time. We loved Delilah! We ordered a lot of food and loved everything we ordered. We started with the ceviche, Cuban fritters, crab cake and chicken tenders all of which were delicious. For the entrees we shared the skirt steak, lobster pasta, king crab salad, creamed corn, and their version of Mac and cheese all of which was amazing. For desert we had the brownie and the lemon olive oil cake and both were delicious. I'm not usually a big fan of brownies but it was just right not too rich. The drinks were very tasty as well. Third location for Delilah and what a better place than Miami to join. Be sure to plan ahead and book a reservation, but from what I understand the seating at the bar is first come first serve (less than 20 seats). If staying in the downtown, Brickell area this is walkable (JW is a couple blocks) or an easy Uber. Komodo and Dirty French are a block or two down, so you can always come here before/after. The parking is valet and it's $25. Follow the sidewalk down to the bridge, and there will be a door on your right with a bouncer in a suit. You are greeted by two hostesses and another bouncer who confirm your reservation. Then you go up the stairs and greeted by another two hostesses who confirm your reservation again and get you seated. Personally, I liked the added security of this. There's basically four general seating areas besides the bar. Most of the seats have a great view of the stage, dancer and performers. Music starts at about 7:30/8. Dancers started a little after that. We had dinner at 6:30. Next time I would make a 830/9pm reservation to be able to enjoy the music for longer. The tables on the booth sides are CLOSE. Like you can touch the person next to you and good luck getting up to go to the bathroom to squeeze between both tables. Service was phenomenal. We had Anthony and he was great. Super accommodating and helpful with my gluten and dairy allergy. The alcoholic drinks were ok, but you could tell a different bartender made each old fashioned we ordered (just a lack of consistency.) The fresh mint was great in the mocktail. The bathroom attendant in the female bathroom was on her phone, vaping and not attentive. I tipped her anyway because it was awkward. My husband said the male bathroom attendant was excellent and very professional. The chicken was good but I think it's a little overhyped, the bbq sauce is great though. The calamari is definitely better than the chicken. I had the snapper (gluten free/dairy free) and it was cooked perfectly and delicious. My husband had the crispy pork and it was AMAZING. It comes out kinda like a 6 oz filet of salmon. Had a light crisp and salt super tender. Brussel sprouts were good. The slutty brownie was AMAZING. Get that dessert over anything else, it's not overpowering or too rich. Next time I'd try the octopus, scallops and french fries. Also, no photos. Respect the policy even for your review. The photos can't even do the atmosphere or ambiance justice. You just have to experience it. Similar to ambiance at Faena in that aspect. read more

The highly anticipated hot spot Delilah has finally opened its doors in Brickell and it does not disappoint. With its old Hollywood style decor throughout, you feel as if you are taken back to another era. As soon as you step through the doors, you are greeted with fantastic service and it doesn't end until you leave. The food is delicious, which included the crab cakes, calamari and salmon followed by Kendall's slutty brownies. The live music throughout dinner and drinks created a nice ambience for the night. After a three hour drive back from an art show last night in Palm Beach, my partner and I opted to try Delilah in Brickell where we live in the winter. In fairness to the restaurant, I don't think you can fault the place for being loud and a scene, that's what you are buying into. In addition this is spring break time and a lot of young people clearly had their parents credit cards and normalcy was not on the menu. The decor and band/singer are very good. I'm not quite sure if it's a bar or a restaurant but the food prices are very high for what you get although the wine list mark up is fair. The quality of the food is good but being there is about the entire experience and therein lies our problem. We sat for a 7pm reservation and after an initial fill of our water glasses and being told our server would be with us shortly, thirty minutes went by and I returned to the hostess station to ask to speak with a manager. Sheldon was nearby and quickly identified himself as part of the management team and ask where we were sitting. At that point we were prepared to leave but he hustled us back to our table and asked if we would like to order an appetizer and I stated we were prepared to order our meal. I would have expected an acknowledgement of the situation and a server identified but Sheldon instead took our order. At this point everything became rushed and chaotic. It was now 7:30, and within 10 minutes wine, salad and entree were delivered to the table and to be honest my head was spinning. No server was identified so we were flying blind. We had to flag staff down to remove plates, replace silverware etc., although our water glasses were always full and the Sommelier was attentive and helpful. Sheldon returned to inform us that our entree would be complimentary and as we enjoyed our wine, plates were unceremoniously dropped. Sheldon then returned with unanticipated complimentary desserts. All of this was appreciated and I don't mean to sound ungrateful but the experience was not good. We are too old (58-61) and not looking for a free meal, we were hoping to enjoy a relaxing evening. I believe Sheldon was going out of his way to accommodate us but all we really needed was a server to come over tell us about any specials, explain the menu, check on us from time to time and just have a nice night out. Instead we didn't know what was coming at us until after the fact and didn't really have a true dining experience. My head was spinning the entire time. I've never been to a restaurant not had a server! Sheldon really did his best to correct the situation and again we did appreciate the complimentary meal but as a management team my feedback would be know your audience. It's not always about money. It's a fun place assuming you know what you are getting into (cabaret/barestuarant) but when problems arise, take a step back and better understand what the customer needs. Complimentary food is appreciated, a good experience even better and more memorable. Will we go back, probably next season and never again during spring break. We had a reservation that we had to wait 40 minutes to be seated for, food was incredibly mediocre and over priced and SLOW to come out, service was slow and unkind, and they charged $150 for 3 drinks at the bar... not sure how they got that number. Also prepare to be waiting to use the bathroom like it's a club. 30 minute line and 2 working bathroom stalls for all the women. Really disgusting. My thanks and congratulations to Jake Zamore and his highly professional team at Delilah Miami for a truly enjoyable evening of fine dining and excellent entertainment. The food is classic American steakhouse and was overall well prepared and presented. We thoroughly enjoyed the caviar service, crab cake, wagyu tomahawk steak and blue cheese wedge salad. The desserts need improvement and are not up to the quality of the rest of the meal. The wine list is 6/10. The pricing is too high on the Bordeaux list and the Italian list is inadequate. The service was excellent and attentive without being overbearing. The room is a gorgeous tribute to the supper clubs of the Jazz era and the live music is both well delivered and top notch.
