Cute little cafe we stopped at while passing through Payson. We have someone with a severe food allergy and had no issues with the menu. The yogurt was good and my wife liked her breakfast of eggs potatoes and French toast. Will stop again next time we are passing through!

With a name like Delicious Cafe, the place is either going to great and live up to it, or a tragic comedy of poor naming convention. I'm very happy to report it was in fact delicious! I came in about an hour before closing. Decided to do a last minute trip to Payson to hike. But I needed lunch, was pretty hungry. I had not looked at the menu before arrival as I sometimes do so I felt a bit rushed with my decision making cause I had my fur baby Flynn waiting outside, but I fully enjoyed what I had. Lunch menu was available, I would like to come back for breakfast next time. I opted for the Dipper sandwich (roast beef, Swiss, onion and au jus). Served with seasoned potato wedges. It was very tasty. I would have liked the potatoes a bit more cooked and crispy, but still good. I ate about half of it and had it for leftovers where I toasted the wedges to my liking. Really good leftover as well. They have a bunch of teas! So I had what is sort of strange, an earl grey iced tea. They can make any tea iced. It was good. I love earl grey. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The weather was nice, it was drizzling a tiny, bit and they were kind to bring water bowl for Flynn as we sat outside on the small front patio area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll definitely be back! Great random find! Also, their menu says gluten free options for my GF friends :)

Awesome Greek salad, wonderful hospitality, delicious fresh brewed teas

WHAT A TREASURE! We dropped in here on the way from Phoenix to Tonto Natural Bridge State Park. Unlike the other greasy spoons everywhere around, this place had an excellent menu with diverse choices - including several healthy ones. I got a really good Greek Salad. The sandwiches were great too. Another little highlight was all the teas the place offered - they have a really really good lavender one that we liked so much, we bought loose leaf so we could make our own. The team here was super friendly as well, and while they had only 2 people serving a full house, they made everyone feel welcomed and happy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What a little GEM of a place!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

What a fantastic spot we found! The service was top notch, just what you would expect from a little local restaurant. The food was served up quickly and the amount we got for the price was incredible. We weren't expecting leftovers, but the wrap was so filling. A few tables outside of you have a pet with you or just want to enjoy the weather, but inside decor was minimal. Again, it was just what you would expect and we loved it!

Great salad, tea (banana hot tea was delicious) and service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Quaint spot, unassuming but food was delicious![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will be back next time I'm in town.

We stopped for breakfast on a Sunday, and it was really good! There was a bit of a wait, which is expected considering there's not many options around. The food was really well seasoned, and everything I ordered was correct. The waitress was really friendly, and attentive. I really appreciated all of the options on the menu as well! I would definitely stop by again when visiting Payson.

What a hidden gem for breakfast! Delicious Cafe is tucked into a quaint strip mall, but don't be fooled by its lack of advertising. The service and food were very good. If you want a hole-in-the-wall experience where the food's made from scratch, this is it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is cozy and clean, something most hole-in-the-wall establishments lack.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was phenomenal, our waiter was so informative and friendly. Everything is house-made, including the delicious Snickerdoodle Coffee I had. The food was really good. I tried the Breakfast Montini, their version of a Monte Cristo Sandwich. It was a little too heavy but the house-made cranberry compote helped tone it down. My Dad loved his "Delicious" Breakfast, a yummy traditional breakfast. The service was so kind and you can really tell they put a lot of effort into this establishment. I'd consider coming back next time I'm in Payson!

Like 3 1/2 stars because we came in 15 minutes before they were closed but potato soup tasted a little water down and could've been warmer the French dip sandwich good good not great French tip could be amazing if you added a little horseradish and maybe some green or red pepper in it.. potato I just tasted very fresh service was great super sweet and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the place was clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. It's in a little strip mall. We will come back and try breakfast. They have a ton of different teas and coffees which absolutely amazing.

    The Breakfast Club
    Marcella G.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The cute diner is tucked in a plaza and can be driven past.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But I'm telling you to stop! You will not be disappointed!! We have been here once before and the food was amazing. Spent our anniversary in Strawberry and had to grab breakfast here on our way out of town. We recognized the same waitress and she is so sweet and great service! My husband ordered The Breakfast Club and I ordered The Breakfast Montini w/ cranberry compote. Both were absolutely delicious!! However the Breakfast Montini was out of this world! The different flavors this sandwich had, had me doing my happy yummy food dance. Give this cafe a shot, you will not regret it!

Breakfast quesadilla with bacon and potato wedges- half portion

This is an unassuming place from the outside but I was greeted with such warmth and hospitality when I walked in, so I knew it would be good. The menu has a wide variety-- from all day breakfast, to sandwiches, to pizzas. Even the desserts looked yummy although we didn't try any. I saw someone order the lemonberry pancakes and let me just say, I will be getting these next time I come back. They looked heavenly. My omelette was so nourishing after a long day of travel and my daughter's breakfast quesadilla was the perfect meal for a 6 year old (pro tip- order a half size so no food goes to waste). I also ordered a seasonal strawberry shortcake latte which was scrumpdiddlyumptios.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quick but nourishing bite along their travels.

We stopped in payson for some brunch on our way back home. The restaurant was pretty small, but I did really think there needed to be more than one server. The waitress working was fantastic but you could tell that she was spread thinly. The cinnamon roll latte was pretty standard and tasted pretty good. I got an omelette and it was big enough for another meal!!! The eggs were fluffy and filled with lots of toppings!! The potato wedges were flavorful and crispy. Overall, the meal was pretty standard but nothing too special. Would maybe come back for lunch and try a tea - that seems to be their specialty.

    Shared panini
    Leanne M.

Excellent, super friendly service. They were down a person that that did not stop them hustling to serve everyone Ordered the ham panini and split it between the two of us. It was played so nicely. The sourdough bread was fresh. A nice tasty sandwich that was so good after a morning of hiking The wedges were generous and not greasy.

Hello Everyone: This review is for Rim Country BBQ and Wood Fired Pizzas in Payson, AZ…read more This was our first time at this restaurant. We would definitely come back again. Because we could not decide what to order, we got the sampler plate which had meats, sides, and dipping sauces. The photos show you the "before" and "after" of our meal! Bathrooms are clean. We had no problem finding off-street parking. Analysis of experience: This plate is enough for two people. You get: two ribs, two 1/2 pieces of sausage, a scoop of pulled pork (about 1/3 to 1/2 cup), two thin slices of brisket and some sliced smoked turkey breast. Also included is a sampler container of their dipping sauces to enjoy with your meat. Sides included: baked beans, corn, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, potato salad and mac & cheese. Our meat favorites were the ribs and the pulled pork. This is why: I first tried a bit of each meat with no sauce. I don't want to review sauces and sauces can cover up/mask many issues just like a coat of paint on a wall. Therefore, I started with meat (no sauce) tastings, then moved to the meat and sauce tasting. Ribs: The rib meat easily cut off the bone and was tender. There was not a lot of meat, the bones were pretty big as you can see, but what meat there was had a nice flavor and was tender. Pulled Pork: The pulled pork was some of the most tender I have experienced. This meat went well with ALL the dipping sauces served to us. I did not get a lot of smoke flavor to it, the flavor was subtle, but that allowed for the sauces to shine a little bit. Brisket: The brisket was tender, but I felt the fat line on the top of the brisket was still too intact for me (not rendered enough so the fat juices get down into the meat) and I thought the brisket was a tad dry. Turkey: The turkey breast had a nice flavor, but again, it was very subtle. This meat was also a tad dry, not bad with sauce on it, but could have been a little juicier. That was perhaps my least favorite because it was on the dry side. Sausage: The sausage was 1/2 of a sausage cut in 1/2 again as you can see in the photo. This was a spicy sausage with a charred cut side, very nice. The char on the sausage added a nice crunch to each bite. My husband and I both agreed our favorites were the ribs and the pulled pork and should we return, these two meats would be on our radar. Regarding the sides, here is my review: The yellow corn was average - nothing special. The mashed potatoes were average - nothing special. Mac & Cheese - average, nothing special. The sauce on this item was too runny for us. The sauce wound up against other items on the plate. The cole slaw was nice, fresh tasting, but I think it needed a dash of fennel. The coleslaw and the potato salad (items which are served cold) were co-mingled on the plate with all the hot items. I would have preferred them being served inside a small bowl or container on the serving platter to keep them cold. The potato salad was very good - I would definitely order that again. The beans were excellent - I would definitely order those again. This menu item is also served with a piece of garlic bread which was very good - it had melted butter on it and tasted like garlic! I am giving this 5 Stars even with some short falls regarding flavor and or juiciness because of the environment, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, available to find parking without driving around, and menu choices. The menu is large, enough choices for everyone to get something. If we are back in the area, we will try one of their pizzas. Hannah was our server and she did a nice job checking on us since she knew it was our first time there. Very pleasant, nice smile, and good with her customers. Enjoy!

We ordered a double smash burger with bacon (an extra $2 charge) along with tomatoes, lettuce, and onion. The burger arrived with no bacon and none of the listed veggies. We also ordered a triple smash burger with cheddar cheese and tomatoes, lettuce, and onion -- again, none of the veggies were included. We also ordered a mashed potato bowl with chicken, corn, and brown gravy, but there was no brown gravy in it at all. Even though a lot of our order was missing, I will say the food itself still tasted good. The biggest issue, however, was the customer service. The young girl working there, who looked to be around 16 years old, was extremely rude and snotty. When I asked for plastic utensils, she replied, "We do not have any." I asked how we were supposed to eat mashed potatoes and gravy without utensils, and she shrugged and said, "Ma'am, we are a bar, we do not have it." I responded that I've ordered takeout from many bars before and they always provide plastic utensils. She then sarcastically replied, "Good for you, have a nice day." I tried speaking with who I believed was the manager (he nodded when I asked if he was), and while I was explaining the issue, the young employee continued interrupting and talking over me. Another waitress overheard the conversation and quickly returned with plastic utensils, proving they did in fact have them available. The employee then changed her story, saying she "didn't know" if they had utensils and claimed she was super sweet to me(not rude). There is no reason an employee should be speaking to customers this way. She clearly needs additional customer service training before handling customer interactions on her own.

There's something about starting a day in the mountains with a small-town diner that just feels right. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome. They were especially kind to our daughter, chatting with her and making her feel like she belonged there. As a parent, those little moments don't go unnoticed. The food is classic diner breakfast in the very best way possible. No gimmicks. No unnecessary twists. Just breakfast done well. My wife and I both ordered the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and a side of bacon. My daughter went with a waffle topped with whipped cream and strawberry preserves, while my father-in-law also opted for the biscuits and gravy. Everything came out fresh, hot, and exactly how you'd hope a breakfast cooked on a seasoned griddle would. The coffee stayed hot, the service never skipped a beat, and the entire meal felt like the perfect start to a day outdoors. Beeline Cafe isn't trying to reinvent breakfast. I ordered the Backwoods burger and subbed a black bean patty and I opted for steak fries. The burger was definitely top 5 burgers I have ever eaten. The black bean patty was something special whatever sauce is on this thing really brought out all of the flavors. The addition of the sautéed jalapeños really set this burger off as they had an amazing flavor profile. I'm serious when I say that I would make the 85 mile trek from Gilbert to Payson just so I can have this burger. We finished up our lunch/dinner with the Mogollon Monster dessert, which is an M&M skillet cookie topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and caramel drizzle. Of course that was really good too, how can you go wrong with a skillet cookie?! If I may make a slight suggestion, instead of topping the cookie with vanilla ice cream, how about blue cookies & cream "Cookie Monster" ice cream given the name of the dessert? The only criticism I have of this place is that the service was a bit slow. After we finished the dessert we sat at the table for about 15 min. before I finally got up and told our server we were ready to go. But, the burger was THAT good to where I have to give this place 5 stars.
