When I arrived, I was told the register was already closed and they could not accept credit cards. Fortunately, I had a $100 bill with me, but they refused to accept that as well. I had to walk around the plaza trying to find someone to break the bill. After finally getting change, I returned at 5:01 PM -- only to find the door locked. What made the situation even worse was seeing the employee sitting in her car watching me, then driving away as she waited to give me a bad look. It felt incredibly disrespectful, rude, and completely unprofessional. I've honestly seen better customer service at a gas station. The lack of basic courtesy and common sense from the staff was unbelievable. Locking the doors while a customer is actively trying to break the bill is just unacceptable behavior. It's clear this employee does not care about customers or the reputation of the business. Management should seriously reconsider who they trust to represent their company because this kind of attitude drives loyal customers away. I've been a loyal customer for years, buying birthday cakes for both my family and our office celebrations, but after this experience, I will not be returning. Unfortunately, this was not my first negative interaction with the same employee. After multiple bad experiences, I can confidently say the problem is the staff.

This is the…read moreexperience I had with them: The day of my cake tasting (two months before my wedding) my parents and I told Tina's Original Cakes that we wanted a cake similar in size to the cake on the display (picture attached, the big one). They told me that my package included with the venue did not include that size, but that they were going to add cardboard to the cake to make it look bigger. They said they did that all the time, and that it was not a problem. We said awesome, that works. So fast forward to TWO DAYS before my wedding, and they send me an IM (they don't even call me) telling me that the "owner had not approved the cardboard upgrade, and that what they told me the day of my cake tasting was incorrect. That if I wanted a bigger cake, I had to pay for the upgrade." I told them they had to honor what they said since it was in the contract, and they weren't giving me any notice to find another vendor for my dream cake. However, they refused to honor the "cardboard upgrade". After speaking back and forth for a while, they said that they could do the height "2 inches less" than what I had requested, but they failed to mention that it would be 2 inches less for EACH TIER, not in total. I also paid an additional $50 to not have the top tier with any cardboard (they said they would put cardboard to make the cake look bigger, but the cake didn't look bigger to me at ALL (picture of my wedding cake attached, the smaller cake). It also looks slanted and it tasted dry. And when we compromised on the "2 inches less" they sent me a picture of what the height of my cake would look like, but my wedding cake did not look like that at all (picture attached, cake with IM conversation). The day after my wedding, I told them I wanted a refund and that I wasn't happy, but again, they also refused to work with me on something that they clearly messed up in. Hence I just wanted to let everyone know (especially brides) that this place does not care one hoot about customer service and they won't honor what they promise. The owner also refused to call me when THEY were the one that made the mistake. They added additional stress that I did not need so close to my wedding day. And the cake of my dreams turned out to be something completely different than what I had in mind. Luckily every single thing on my wedding was incredible and all vendors were amazing except for this bad experience. If I could give 0 stars I would!

There were only a handful of cupcakes available to choose from. The associate apparently was not as excited as I was. When asked about the flavors, she'd stay quiet as if she didn't seem to know exactly or maybe was just afraid to talk. Whatever the case, the interaction felt strange. I asked for the favorite which she said was the guava and my friend grabbed the nutella. When I tried checking in, I noticed the business was not listed on Yelp and asked if they were new, her answer was a simple "no" but again it was odd interaction- not the warm, friendly and bubbly personalities you expect to find in a cupcake shop. She seemed annoyed and just disinterested altogether. Location was great, presentation is great but taste....meh- not so good. The cake part felt a little stale; not fresh and not moist. I got to take a bite out of the nutella only to feel the same disappointment. My friend agreed this was not the best cupcake far less the best cupcakery experience. Frosting wasn't bad but again I was expecting more from the batter. This establishment is located in one of the busiest strip malls in Doral. It's almost impossible to find parking and its got tons of people however the place is empty and its exactly the way I felt walking out of there...empty! No hidden gem, no new discovery; just a random frozen yogurt shop with stale little cupcakes.
