Favorite neighborhood bakery. It may get busy weekend mornings but it's worth the wait. Love their desserts, been going here for at least a decade now and the staff is really nice too. My favorite things from here are the señoritas, flan and pudín are a must and i love their media noches and pan con bistec. If there's ever something you don't like or you think isn't fresh they're always very nice and either give you a new one or money back. Owners are very kind too. I've been to a couple bakery's in Southwest and none really compare to this one, some may be cheaper or not as long lines but what makes this bakery my favorite is the variety of desserts and how authentic they are. My absolute favorite bakery in town! I worked next door for a few years and everyone in there is so sweet! I don't work nearby anymore but every time i come to visit, the place gets nicer and nicer. the employees may have changed around, some of them now speak english which is awesome. but they are still very kind and never seem like they hate their job. their prices went up a bit ($1.50 colada is now $2) but they are still the cheapest bakeries around town. the only down side is the customers, they can be annoying. they will jump the line or bug the employees to help them when the employees are clearly busy. but that's Miami for you, you just deal with it really. I super recommend their Croqueta Preparada (delicious croqueta sanwich), or if you want breakfast their sandwich de tortilla is so yummy. even just their plain toast, you can share with someone (it used to be just $1, not sure how much it is now) and it was like half a loaf of cuban bread with a ton of butter. their café con leches are so yummy and they are reasonably priced as well. i always make it a point to visit! read more

Like gravity every time I drive by... this bakery is a gem. My family has lived in Miami and experienced decades of bakeries come and go (ie. Marilyn Bakery :(, etc.) and they've responded to change by re-calibrating their go-to spot for sweets to send our family all over this beautiful nation, welcome guests such as parents-in-law and friends who had no idea guava was a fruit (gasp:)... My wife (origin: Seattle) and I settle in regularly here to enjoy their cafe con leche, chocolate caliente(hot), dos ordenes de tostada Cubana (two orders of one of Miami's greatest offerings - Cuban bread..light toasted - really just a crispy shell and soft innards). We never walk out without at least one box of Cuban pasteles in their glass case. Great pastry and staff. Great fresh products made daily. Since I have lived in the neighborhood for the past 17 years this place has been great. Yes staff has changed but always for the better. The owner Raul is an excellent person which at times gives everybody free stuff regardless if you don't have the money or not. I welcome anybody to come in here to taste of fresh pastries the kinks are excellent and the Cuban crackers are great. The croquettes are homemade and yes they do have the lower quality ones if you want those but I recommend the homemade one. read more

I'm always very pleased with this bakery. I usually stop by on my way to school for a quick breakfast. My go-to order is two ham croquetas and a tostada. The croquetas always taste very fresh and the tostada is perfectly buttered and toasted. Every now and then I'll get a pastelito and again, never disappointed. Prices are fantastic and the place is always clean and well kept. Employees are usually nice. You're excited because you are the only customer and there are at least 3 clerks in your field of vision and you're in a hurry to get your stuff and get out. Uh oh. Minutes go by. You patiently wait, and wait, and wait some more but the clerks don't acknowledge you. Your smile suddenly becomes a frown. You politely clear your throat loudly to see if they notice you. Again, nada. Then you start wondering if you've suddenly become invisible. Then, then... one of the clerks notices you and you feel like you've won something. But then they speak and the tone of it is so to let you know that you are not welcome and are a bother. Hmm, I have to say, that their bread and pastries are not good enough for me to have to put up with that kind of service. So, ok then, I will not bother them any more. Terrible staff. You wait and wait for them to help you and when they do it's with an attitude and the feeling of being a bother. The "staff" is very rude and they had no idea how to box my cake. After watching the woman struggle for TWENTY MINS I literally had to go behind the counter and staple the box myself because she had no idea how to do so. She was very rude about it too, she literally asked me "Why don't you come do it yourself?" when I suggested she use the stapler rather than tape. How can you say that to someone who just paid you $355 for a cake and pastries? The quality was alright, but nothing amazing so I will be spending my money 2 doors down at Party Cake Bakery which is much better and they are polite. Y'all need to do better. This place was good for a while. But they have gone down hill. After a while I was been served pastelitos that were obviously left over from the previous day and they use the Cuban bread from the prior day to make your toastada. If you're here make sure you ask for toastada made with fresh bread. I've been back a couple of times and narrowed it down to only buying their bread. That 's if I'm already in the shopping center. My parents have been regular customers of this bakery for years, and they don't even live close by. That in itself says a lot. My mom has breakfast or takes a coffee break here, at least once a day - I kid you not. I can't say that a diet based on croquetas, pastelitos, and café con leches is a good diet, but after 15 years of visiting this bakery, they must be doing something right if they've kept these picky eaters coming back for more. Their cafe con leche is always perfect, and they are one of the only places that make my tostada exactly how I like it: NOT from the butt of the bread, lightly buttered, and perfectly flattened/toasted. I have been going to this bakery my entire life. All my birthday cakes were from here when I was a kid. Now as an adult, I buy pastelitos for family and friends. The best pastelitos in town are definitely here. Some other bakeries, their pastelitos are heavy and dense. These are light and delicious. Our family birthday cakes are also from here. They have the classic Coke glass bottles, which I enjoy with my pastelitos. It really is a blessing and a little gem in town. So good! read more

I was first introduced to them by a friend of mine liking their photo on Instagram. They make designer-like cakes, after following them for a little bit on Instagram I decided that I was going to stop in. What a great idea that was. Not only do they make wonderful cakes, but they also have very good pastelitos. When I walked in the place was packed, which is always a good sign. Some people complain about that, but if a place is empty then the food and service usually isn't good. I ordered some pastelitos and decided to ask about their cakes. After about a 5 minute conversation with their "cake boss" I decided that I wanted to order one for the grand opening for my business. Long story short, the cake was amazing, everyone kept raving about it in the grand opening. I have gone back to this bakery ever since. This past Saturday I celebrated my daughter's 10th birthday, and as usual I went to pick up the cake from Cakeworld. But this time I was very disappointed with the services provided by the lady behind the counter and the baker (who I believe is the owner of the place). When I first saw the cake, I asked why the top of my cake was gold. The picture I had given them was a cake that represented the galaxy (in black, purple, blues). She rudely answered, we do the cakes based on the picture you provide. I asked her to provide a copy of the picture I had given them. When she returned, she insisted the picture had gold when in fact it was black. I have posted pictures of the two cakes separately on yelp. She proceeded to ask me "What do you want to do?" in a rude manner. I asked to speak to the baker. He came out and said that he followed the picture (NOT). I then asked if he could spray paint it black, purple and blue like in the picture. He couldn't assure me that it would come out good; at which point I said if you can't guarantee it then don't do it, but can you at least offer a discount since I'm not getting what I ordered (I paid $4.00 per person for a fondant cake), not a cheap cake. He said he couldn't do it and offer no apologies for the mistake. So not only did I pay full price for a cake I didn't order, I was treated unprofessionally and was given attitude by the lady behind the counter. To make matters worse, the cake tasted salty; not like the usual. As I said I have been coming here to do my daughter's bday cake for years, but I left very unsatisfied. read more

Found a new go-to bakery; it was busy like crazy and yet I managed to go in and out in only a few minutes. They also have a good system of using tickets like a deli, because every other bakery in this area people don't know what a line is lmao.
