I ordered a Cuban sandwich and when I got it the bread was entirely too sweet, was no mustard on it and no pickles at all. That was fine but, when I asked the staff if they had any pickles or mustard they said no. I told them the Cuban sandwich comes with it and they tried to tell me it doesn't and that I was wrong. I literally showed them the picture that is provided in the bakery with pickles being in it and they stared blankly and didn't say anything. The vibe was fine but they were on there phone the whole time we were there. It's not that deep but I was disappointed. read more

This is one of the great Cuban bakeries that have been around for a very long time and for good reason. Everything is baked, cooked and prepared fresh every morning. I highly recommend the pastelitos Cubanos; all of them because they are all so wonderfully tasty. The are is clean and well maintained, and the staff is friendly and jovial. The cakes are prepared to customer specifications and there's also a good selection of fresh pre-made cakes. The Cuban coffee "cafecito" and the "cortadito" (espresso with milk) take this place over the top. I love this place. read more

The beef, ham&cheese and cheese fried empanadas are DELICIOUS! We always add tequeños and slice of opera cake to the rotation. The staff is wonderful! This might be the only bakery in Miami where you don't get an attitude for NOT speaking Spanish. You're also NOT rushed here, they're excited to help and they're patient describing all the desserts. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon it while visiting friends in Miami, we were hungry and craving a cup of cafe con leche. The coffee was fantastic. We also ordered two kinds of empanadas - chicken and ham and cheese. Both were delicious! And we split a pan con lechon which they warmed up on a sandwich press. The sandwich was simple - just pork and bread - but was honestly one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! The pork was moist and savory and a little sour and delicious! The bread was just a touch sweet which paired well with the savory pork! The pastries and flan and baked goods also looked amazing but we were too full to try! This is THE cuban bakery in Westchester. My friend, a cuban native of Westchester, told me this was the spot to get pastelitos and orange juice so we drove over here to see if what she was telling me was true. The bakery is in the stripmall so ample parking. I could tell this place was promising with so many cubans in the bakery buying their pastries. I tried their pastelito de carne and that was soo tasty. Ratio of meat to pastry was perfect as was their flaky dough. My friend's favorite, the pastelito de queso, of course was as she remembered it. Delicious. They also have a machine that cranks out fresh squeezed orange juice. Im a fan of any place that does that and charges less than the amount Im used to paying for fresh squeezed OJ in nyc. I will definitely be back! read more

Tostado is Cuban bread that is toasted and buttered, it is pressed like a panini. Delicious breakfast bc of the amazing combination of sweet coffee and bread. The pastries at Jessy's are great too. Some of our favorites are pastel de coco y queso and pastel de guayaba. And if you're looking to try something new, try the guarapo, which is fresh sugar juice. They squeeze it right in front of you! (They also have fresh orange juice). Everything they make is fresh! Basically, it's a very authentic Cuban bakery. The atmosphere is light and fun. People come in to have cafe and chit-chat and others come in for their bakery needs: cakes and pastries. It can be busy at times, but the service is always fast and tentative! And if you're not familiar with Cuban coffee or pastries the staff is super helpful. It is a must every time we are in Miami. It's a very nostalgic place for my husband who is Cuban. Such a horrible service , I was buying my scrubs in the store next to it and I came to Jessy bakery to grab a snack to continue with my day and I was not expecting this horrible service. I came in and I was welcomed very dry the lady that was at the register was very distracted not even paying attention , I asked for two senoritas and the told someone else to get it for me. They only except credit cards if you pay five dollars or more so to reach the five dollars I also ask for a coffee , she told an other lady (she was just talking a friend distracted as well) and she complained because she had to do my coffee wth??? She made my coffee she put not sugar she didn't ask me how I wanted the coffee and then she left it on the table and didn't let me know that that was my coffee . I paid with the lady at the register , she gave me my senoritas and I was there waiting for my coffee , I asked the lady that made my coffee is that was mine and she moved her head saying yes , she rolled her eyes on me and kept on talking to her friend , are you serious ?
